@mucc but what about the next game? Maybe they censor final fantasy? By they time they come for a game you care for the precedent is set and it’s too late.
You look at what’s been in past god of war games it feels a bit rich telling other companies what’s right.

I had half an eye on this game but now I’ll likely hold off, maybe pick up on a pc sale if looks good. Not a fan of Sony deciding what my 39 year old self can see.

I’ve never played lost legacy so have taken up the upgrade, I may be wrong, maybe I did pick up uncharted 4 at some point but was pretty sure only had the plus once when check before launch if I was eligible for the upgrade

@Shepherd_Tallon did they end up letting you upgrade the ps plus version? I'd swear i never bought on the ps4 and the option wasnt there for me to upgrade before, just had the plus one, but the upgrade was there for me at the weekend.

Its just another example of Sony seeming out of touch with their player base. And unfortunately they are so out of touch they will never even see these issues let alone acknowledge them.

If this is another one month timed release then pointless.

@Corc11 for many people a ps5 is a family machine, so i have a few games im playing based on what i feel like, then my boys switch between a few games. Downloading for a few hours before playing isnt realistic, even installing off disc, why should we have to plan so far in advance?

Sony had to know how people would interpret this

As with many things Sony recently this seems half hearted. Excludes time spent on ps3 and vita, my credit time wasn’t counted I’m guessing because I played on ps5 the bc.
Things like this should be a celebration but often just highlights how shortsighted they’ve been with infrastructure.

I can’t decide if this proves even more of an issue for Sonys pc venture, as they will start lacking some 3rd party content, at least in the medium term, and their first party will be on pc with all that Bethesda and activision content people miss. Microsoft may have lured ps to their doom with pc money.

But what they need to do is innovate in some way that avoids direct comparison. Tough as Microsoft have a lot covered. Getting psNow onto mobile devices might be a good start.

Realistically? A price increase to keep the same a what we get now.

This may be an unpopular opinion but if they continue bringing pc games i would like to see them have their own client so i can continue playing through there switching between devices and bring trophies into them.

I’ve no real interest here, other than a slightly stodgy middle it was a near perfect game. Story wise it certainly was. Not like it’s massively out of date.

Now has really lost its identity, I still use it for ps3 I think they need to focus on getting that back catalogue up.

Some good news at least, I own it physical but will be nice not to have to get up and put the disk in. Will pick up the dlc as well

It may be my age but the Vita and PS3 are my favourite consoles and still regularly play both. There was just something unique about both whereas as impressive as gaming is now its starting to feel a bit too samey.

Given how readily this person has been identified I hope the allegations are true.

I can’t help but feel given I already pay for both, and I mostly pay for now for the ps3 games, that I’m going to end up paying more. I’m not looking forward to this change.

And also how are they going to cope with people who already have long subscriptions to both?

I’ll believe it when I see it. And given the speed Sony move, you can probably add a year or two to what you are suggesting and it will probably be over priced.

I don’t overly stress about trophies, I’m certainly not going for multiplayer ones, but I do use them to bring me back to games, when I’m between games I often look at my easiest trophies and might see my next easiest is in enslaved:odyssey to the west and that draws me back to that game. It’s fun for me.

@LiamCroft GOTG is possibly my favourite game of the generation so far. Maybe excluding Astro.

It felt like Sony realised if they stopped talking to people they got less hassle. Such a shame, I used to frequently visit the blog when it felt like there was someone there helping out.

I can see them using this as a reason to shut the store with no notice. Much like with the lbp servers

I think of these were more frequent/monthly it would be fine. The fact they are silent so long gets hopes up too much

I mean free is good but I’d rather time was spent on a sequel. Plus not really into building mechanics. I’ll give it a go though, my kids have spent tens and tens of hours on this so may like extra content.

I’ve spent a few hours with it so far and it’s a lot of fun with a good story, not sure what more a game needs.

Whilst not releasing before its finished makes sense, they are starting to look incompetent. Its been a bad 12 months for CDPR

I feel sony should have kept 1 or 2 franchises as playstation exclusive, GoW and Uncharted seemed the best ones to keep but i guess everything is going up.

Maybe it’s the lack of banter/music/context but it doesn’t look fun.

I used the trial for Sackboy to confirm it would be a good game for my kids, but given the trial starts on download i can't see many good use cases, for these trials, I would generally download a title well of time.
If they wanted to do game trials why not use ps now to give instant streaming access to the trial?

This feels like breaking a game and saying pay us more and we’ll put it back. Pretty scummy.

I played efootball on ps5 over the weekend and while it wasn’t great it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, I may actually give it another go after it’s November patch,

@Integrity I’m gonna say why I think it’s not bad, I’d love to try fallout 76 but couldn’t justify buying the dumpster fire.
