Re: Site News: Where Is Our Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores PS5 Review?

Reeneman

I think it’s really strange what Sony is doing here.
It’s an exclusive dlc for a ps5 game and an absolutely visual showcase for the system… Sony so far haven’t done anything in terms of marketing. If they don’t want to spend money for marketing, for whatever reason, they could at least invite some gaming blogs to a presentation or send out review codes earlier.

I highly believe that the dlc will be great but it’s a very strange behavior from Sony. You could think that they want to hide something because the quality of the dlc isn’t that good… but I don’t think and hope so.

Re: All PSVR2 Games

@Playstation4Ever I don’t worry about quantities but more about the quality. We will see a lot of indie and AA games for Vr - which doesn’t have to be bad, but I hope we get more exciting big titles like GT and RE with a Vr implementation.

@Rhaoulos it’s a nice technical achievement to let a game run with such a high framerate. I get your point that GT7 isn’t a full „next gen“ release… but with even better visuals such a high framerate won’t be possible.
This cross-gen phase has it’s ups and downs. Pretty happy to have these visuals with high framerates instead of even better looking but only 30 fps running games.

Re: Clouds Are One Reason Why Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Is PS5 Only

Reeneman

@Wheatly the ps4 is now more than 9 years old… get over it please. This has nothing to do with consumer friendliness or whatever. Technology evolves. Name one gaming or consumer technology device that is supported almost 10 years…
Really can’t get this demand here. The ps4 was a fantastic console but please stop begging that every single new game or feature should be release for the old hardware as well.

@Serialsid im curious if we see also some VR improvements. It’s already a fantastic experience but there are some visible pop-ins on some tracks and LOD on some cars with some rough transitions.
Curious as well if the 120 hz support will offer also benefits for VR (I know it’s not the same as 120 fps).

Re: Tchia PS5 Patch Adds 60fps Support

@dschons absolutely agree. Sure a higher res is always fine but on a regular sized TV the differences are so minor, all these trouble around this topic isn’t really necessary.
When I think back to Guardians of the galaxy game (so much fun btw!) and the hustle around its 60 fps mode with only 1080p, I switched back and forth only trying to get the point but I wasn’t able to see a huge difference. Yes, it was slightly less sharp but in motion and regular gameplay… come on, it’s not with it.
