Game is absolutely amazing and having a wonderful time playing it. I don’t care for any console war, woke, incel or whatever bubble in social media. I we care about these bubbles we would need to hate anything and that’s not what we’re living for
Given that the handheld might be 1-2 years away it might sense and there is probably and option to include a chip that can force the needed performance by a lower power consumption. Who now’s. On the stationary console this most likely won’t get used by many players.
Started on the pro, no issues since day 1 in the RT Pro mode. Only had the bug with the invisible coins on the board game, this was already fixed last week. Currently travelling and excited to continue my playthrough in around 2 1/2 weeks pretty sure we got 1-2 patches more by then.
Love it. If you’re into open world games and also a fan of the samurai and Japan visuals it’s an stunning experience and easily a 9/10. If you’re in general harsh with open world games (yes it’s not inventing the wheel), then for sure you will go lower with your scoring.
Insane deal. First of all it’s a banger title for the ps+ lineup and the sale for the dlc package is absolutely fair. Bought the complete edition for 23€ a couple of weeks ago. No regrets. Stunning game.
The whole artstyle and the atmosphere are doing it for me. Was similar with Ghost of Tsushima. Think this game is a masterpiece. That’s exactly a reason why you own a PlayStation.
It’s an absolutely amazing game. I did stuff on the weekend, cycling, met friends but still played through the night until 5am in the morning. It’s such a beautiful and stunning game. Loved Tsushima as well but this one seems to improve like everything.
@Splat bubbles on Twitter with their people is something out of reality. It’s good to laugh about it but that’s all. The amount of hate against anything for whatever reason is crazy. Thankfully you can’t and shouldn’t get this as any sign of thinking or behaviour for the vast majority of society.
@Troubbble we know it from the ps4 pro that the base console isn’t any kind of outdated with a pro release. Justifying the „not purchase“ is fine for you, if even necessary. Otherwise there are games with substantial improvements on the pro. Always a matter of perspective. In general no one needs to buy anything or need to justify a purchase or not.
If this ever will be released then as part of an update for this upcoming dlc. Second glimpse of hope would be after the release of the PSSR2/FSR4 update next year. But if this new iteration works flawless with UE5 and the games visuals is also on another page.
Not acceptable! We need to complain more. Companies never did that in previous gens, oh wait… Ok at least we saw decreasing prices, that’s different in this gen.
@SMJ as so often it’s something in between but this for sure might not as catchy enough for the internet. A lot of games showing clear improvements on the ps5 pro as already stated so often, but otherwise there are bad examples.
Is the whole console bad or unnecessary because of some bad examples of games? I don’t think so. Is it acceptable that some games looking worse on the pro as on the base console? No.
We will see what the new iteration of PSSR will bring next year.
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy but this feeling can also vary heavily. There are people who might claim that nearly everything should run on a ps4 also while others claiming that 1-2 years after a console launch the hardware is already outdated… The ps5 pro doesn’t have this one clear marketing tag like the ps4 pro but the console should, and often it does, achieve higher resolutions and run the quality graphic modes in a higher framerate and resolution. The case that some games looking worse on it compared to the base ps5 is simply not acceptable.
All the listed bad examples are UE5 games. PSSR and UE5 mostly doesn’t work that well together, due to the often low resolution and the weak behaviour of PSSR as a denoiser. We won’t see a huge change in this regards until 2026 when the upgraded FSR4-like PSSR will drop. Hopefully all these games will revive an update then. To say also something positive, we still have a lot of pretty good Pro updates and a lot of games where PSSR is doing a pretty solid job.
@Flobbots don’t think that. They won’t put that much effort in it and the engine is way too demanding for a VR mode. But it would be fantastic for sure.
It’s a nice test scenario for the upcoming handheld or whatever but this is honestly nothing that you want to use. You don’t buy a ps5 (pro) to scale it back.
@Rich33 pretty curious how this will all turn out with the PSSR update next year and if we see updates for all these games with a mediocre PSSR image quality like Outlaws, Jedi Survivor, SH2, Alan Wake 2, … of it the games will remain in their current state. For CP2077 honestly I don’t have that much hope that they will give this game a proper pro patch. There is just a very low level support and the game uses the Red engine which is more or less abandoned by CDPR, but let’s hope for the best.
This huge turnaround won’t come most likely. This studio isn’t CDPR and they are already affected with layoffs. Even the support with patches stopped massively. There hasn’t been a new patch since months.
