@GreatAuk I wouldn’t call it „great“ especially not in comparison with other top tier titles. But it’s playable since 1.5. No permanent crashes, it looks and plays good. If you’re interested in the title and your backlog is fine with it then give it a try. You can have fun with the game. Story is pretty good. I highly doubt that the game will ever be a game changing RPG. It’s a good game in an interesting setting but for far away from being a classic. It never will be, no matter how many patches are following.
@GreatAuk uff, I wouldn’t say there is nothing left to fix. There are still bugs and a lot of promised features are not included. The game looks good but nothing near as you would expect from a „next gen“ title. City still feels empty in some way.
@KaijuKaiser for me this was the last game I bought for a full price from CDPR. The 70€ still hurting especially with all the lies they told. In the current state CP2077 is good, not phenomenal but good. I have hopes that we see further refinement at latest with the dlc and patches around that time. They won’t support the old gen with the dlc and upcoming bigger patches. Hopefully image quality on next gen see further improvements.
@KaijuKaiser I don’t think so. Sure you can wait for further patches but they won’t support this for „years“. They’re working for the dlc next year than we see for sure some kind of a „complete / extended“ version on disc and than CDP Red will move on to their next games.
They already announced to switch to the unreal engine for their upcoming games. The work in CP2077 will end, it doesn’t make sense for them to overhaul the engine that is going to be abandoned.
At least there should be a 60 fps option. With Gotham Knights I don’t see the point of the developers: Game runs with native 4K and RT… by scaling back the resolution and turn off RT a 60 fps mode should be possible on SX and ps5.
@JB_Whiting oh yes! 60 fps with a lower res all the time. I can’t notice a huge difference on my 55“ LG E9 most of the time with the different resolutions. 40 fps as lowest is ok as well, plays much better than 30 fps.
@Max_the_German FSR can even have its own issues. Furthermore even with FSR enabled people would complain about non-native 4K. I think Santa Monica offers a fantastic set or visual modes here. 60 fps performance mode will be very close to your suggestion. The game uses its own upscaling while Native 4K with 40 fps is not bad at all.
I would be carful with 120 fps here - this will more be an unlocked 60 fps mode than can go up to 120 fps in theory. I guess it will be like Horizon 2 where see a framerate in this mode of 60-90 fps during regular gameplay. Impressive stuff by Santa Monica!! Can’t wait for the game it will be a blast.
@Hundred_Hand_Slap in my point of view for sure! Absolutely worth it. I put around 100 hrs in the game and still have a lot of fun playing it - beside the weaknesses I mentioned.
@racinggamefanatic these race is really strange. You can only win this with a special setup on some cars. You can easily find guides on YouTube for it… but that’s not the way a it should be that’s for sure.
@TrickyDicky99 that’s a very superficial point of view especially after the release of Horizon 2 which is one of the best looking games of all time on ps5 even it’s a cross gen title.
GT7 is a fantastic game but it could be so much(!) better with more tracks, more singleplayer content, better net code, real races with a qualifying… so far the monthly updates don’t do a lot to improve these aspects. The new cars are always welcome but I guess that every GT7 player would be fine with 1-2 months without new cars but further additions of the missing features that I mentioned before.
@Sequel yes, I know. A further 60 fps mode would be even better! I just meant that the jump from 30 to 40 should be relatively easy doable for the dev team.
Curious if there will be any kind of statement by the studio because the game was once teased as a 60 fps game. Not the end of the world to play it with 30 or 40 fps but it’s a bit underwhelming to be honest.
Excited for the game. I think it’s good to turn off some of the effects of it bothers you too much. Depends how often the game utilities them. Really looking forward for the graphics as the game is a „next gen“ only title.
The game is really great but it could be so much better. And still can’t get rid of the feeling it’s a bit optimised for microtransactions. But whatever, had over 100 hrs of fun with the game so far.
A bit disappointing. I was hoping for more. New cars are fine but the game urgently needs more singleplayer content, bigger events with qualifying races. Curious for the exact channeling tomorrow. Hopefully they have additional improvements with this update in common.
Started the game just last week and I’m thrilled how beautiful this game is. Story and Storytelling lacking a little bit for me but everything else is fantastic. The level design is top notch and I highly enjoy the small environmental puzzles. Some fights are very challenging but I like it. Usually I’m able to beat every boss after 3-5 tries.
@DualWielding if it’s only about cheap prices then do the switch to Xbox, parobably apple arcae would be something as well for you in this case.
It’s already visible that MS can not hold up with quality the whole time. Sure some games are good and it’s very useful for some indie titles but there isn’t a single game on Xbox since years that can match games like Last of us, Horizon … you know the names.
Same with Netflix and all these services. There is cool stuff but it can’t match the quality of large productions for the cinema.
Ms can only be successful with price increases or get nearly every second Gamer as subscriber on this service.
@themightyant all good points but if you already paid 60-70 bucks for the controller, why is it needed finalen even more money for upgrades. I totally see his point with the battery runtime and it’s legit.
I think it’s a cool idea. Interesting to see if an additional BD drive is also possible for the „older“ digital version of the console or this feature might be exclusive to the new model. Guess we see a possible Pro variant in 2024 then.
John says in the video that the unlocked framerate also works for the 30/40 fps mode. Is that true? Would mean that ND implemented an own LFC like Insomniac did.

@GreatAuk oh nice. I need to play the GoW from 2018 as well again. Never finished it on Ps4 (Pro).

@WallyWest yes this is what we can expect.
Exciting to try this out and to see graphic analysis by the well known YT channels like DF for it.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.61 Out Now, Fixes Bugs and Adds Umbrellas
@Tomato_Goose would be good to know but when they write „next gen consoles“ is should be available on ps5 as well.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.61 Out Now, Fixes Bugs and Adds Umbrellas
Beside the umbrellas I think this is the important addition with this patch:
Added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 (PC and next-gen consoles only).

Re: Modern Warfare 2 Balloons to 150GB Ahead of PS5, PS4 Launch
@Luigia this whole CoD client has totally blown up over the years… the best version of Kraken or whatever tech couldn’t do something about it.

Hopefully this will be implemented later.
