Re: New PS5 Firmware Update Is Available Now, Here Are All the Patch Notes

Reeneman

@Nem isn’t it more or less the same size for each udpate. It’s simply the update package, regardless if we feel that some changes are bigger or lower. Furthermore there are always some kernel updates, security fixes for the system that’s based on Linux, etc.
Don’t get this confusion over download sizes anymore in these days. It’s not a 100 Gb package. If this update would be 300 Mb or the 1.3 Gb as it is, with a modern Internet connection it’s barely a difference.

Re: PS Plus Essential Game for February 2026 Leaked

@J2theEzzo people always wanting newer titles so they now include a game that was released in October 2024. Not that bad in my opinion. Not everyone will be 100% satisfied as always but I don’t really get this huge crying over these titles month after month.

Pretty nice. As a fan of boxing I’m happy to try this out. Not a perfect game most likely but could be fun.
Otherwise a little sad to see that the game therefore is at the end of it's cycle with no more substantial updates. They most likely working on a true successor now.

Re: Rumour: PS5 Pro's Big PSSR Update Releasing by March, Improves Graphics and Performance

@4fold it’s always a point of view and of course the given hardware. For sure it doesn’t change most games fundamentally but picture quality is most often better/sharper. Furthermore some games like AC Shadows looking much better due to the RT lighting in the performance mode.
But as always it’s something subjective and totally fine to stay on the base ps5. All the games running in it, no need for buying a pro.

@Max_the_German that’s exact the same echo from these bubbles. Full RDNA2 set and ps5 is no real RDNA2 system. We got all this already years ago. Also the series consoles lacking some of the RDNA2 features. Ps5 has some equivalents, just because of the fact it’s no direct X system.
Nevertheless let’s stick to reality. Ps5 pro will get some kind of FSR 4 while the series consoles won’t. Don’t stick to the misbelief that the series consoles are so powerful and rich of features and now get left behind because of the dev studios or due to whatever else’s fault.

Re: 'PS5 Pro Gets the Short End of the Stick Again': Fans Gutted New HYPERPOP Console Covers Don't Support Supercharged System

@OldGamer999 Bro that was literally what I wrote if you read my post carefully.
I don’t care for any business or brand. I have an LG at home and you could guess for what reason.
Mediatek was struggling to produce a capable chip for quite a while, again what I already wrote. They have a new one since 2025 if in remember right. LG uses its own chips, would guess Samsung as well. Many others using Mediatek that’s why you see this 2-port limitation in so many other tvs.
I hope this will get better with the 2026 models, finally.

@OldGamer999 not only on Sony Tvs. Except of LG this goes for nearly any other Tv brand. It was caused due to the chipset that’s limited with the hdmi ports. LG is doing its own chips that are capable of 4 HDMI 2.1 ports.
There is a new chipset available, finally, so in 2026 Sony and others could hopefully finally offer TVs with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports.

Re: 'It's a Huge Upgrade': PS5 Pro Poised to Improve Massively in 2026

@species mix of social media bs and the need to write something and also FOMO. There is probably a newer and better system that costs money. Simply accepting that there is no need to buy it can’t be enough these days. You need to proof that this new system isn’t good to justify the fact that you don’t need this new system.
