@RedRiot193 Same unnecessary talking as the whole ps5 gen… then ps5 pro was coming shortly after, ps5 pro as a scam due to some issues… now the best ever, ps6 unnecessary… It’s all bs at the end of the day.
@4fold it’s a mid gen update and technology these days is always evolving pretty fast. What do you want to say to people who used DLSS on its early stages? Were they beta tester for DLSS 4 and 4.5? Are these users then testers and founders of DLSS 5? It doesn’t make sense.
@Feffster would agree here. GT7 is improved but there are still some issues. But honestly even the native 4K mode has some slight aliasing in some areas. Curious to see if Polyphony will do further work for the game in this regards.
@VenomUK you don’t need additional patches when you select the toggle in the system menu. Sure devs can also do some further adjustments in their games but it’s not mandatory. Strange that there is nothing from Insomniac, they usually so quick with adding new stuff to their games.
@CrispyMango92 sure. You just need to select „leave the beta“ in the ps5 menu and the system loads the new update.
An update without selecting this option might take a couple of days longer.
The Resident Evil example really looks like a social media bs fan dream. It’s an amazing tech but in this version, I don’t know. Really looks like AI slop. Further iterations will be better for sure.
@Scottyy and once again Framerate is not really influenced by the PSSR upscaler. PSSR 2 is better, means that devs are able to lower the native res a bit more eventually.
A game like GTA is heavily CPU bounded, something that PSSR won’t change.
But overall PSSR 2 won’t bring any noticeable fps boosts to games in some magically way.
@MrPeanutbutterz There’s no need to hustle around a pre-order. It’s nothing special or anything that will be sold out. Wait for the reviews next week and then let’s see. A game of this size will of course get tons of additional patches over the upcoming months. No need to rush here.
@revansgc userbase still too low, probably more tech enthusiasts that aren’t so much into these colorful accessories. I don’t know. Most likely AliExpress will offer theses ones also for the pro.
@1970sGamer true but also the ps blog said that there will be the system toggle and some games will be updated. We’re going to see both. Devs can still apply some changes to their games to make them work „better“ with PSSR2. Would be also possible to probably lower the res a little bit increase details, do some further work on some assets.
@OldGamer999 Bro honestly hasn’t this been captured by several comments and articles so far? Doesn’t get it to see the same questions over and over again.
@Oram77 Konami will find a way. Don’t use PSSR for example. Switch back to FSR 1.0 in their engines No release date given. Only „March“. I would guess there is still testing going on by the devs studios how their games react and look with the „forced“ system toggle. Hopefully we get the system update next week. Stunning time.
@RedRiot193 ah come on atmosphere and visuals are really great. In terms of the strange X-Files story it’s also not my favourite but it’s still an amazing game.
I would strongly agree here. RT can be pretty impressive but it doesn’t have to make a game look better everytime. Even with static lightning we saw and still see amazing results. RT, especially on consoles, is heavy and often cause visual issues. Often it’s not worth it.
@Oram77 would def definitely agree here but it would be also interesting to see how PSSR2 performs in terms of image quality against a title where PSSR1 was almost flawless. Wouldn’t expect a huge change in this game but it would be interesting to see.
@SodaPop6548 their focus was on the ps version. It’s pretty obvious that the version they have currently on the consoles isn’t good enough - otherwise we would already have seen footage of it. They trying to optimise it as much as they can but it wouldn’t have hopes for stunning specs and performance of this heavy game. Let’s wait the reviews of the final product on the consoles.
Think the intro scene in this game at the church during night in the beginning is still visually absolutely impressive. Good game overall. Can remember when it got a huge patch back then on ps4 with around 12-18 Gb. Huge patch during this time, more or less a standard size or nothing special these days
The image shown as header of the article is really misleading because it has barely anything to do with the new PSSR version at all. It’s a different lighting due to RT and mostly not the most favourable shot of the base ps5 version.
Don’t like this approach because there is already so much misunderstand of all this stuff by many people. Doesn’t get better with these misleading examples.

@zebric21 huge conspiracy. It would be all possible as well on the base ps5. They want to hold us down.

Re: MindsEye Studio Laying Off More Staff as It Doubles Down on Conspiracy Theory
Worst studio ever. Wouldn’t support this game even for 5 bucks.

Not a good sign. But also don’t get all this preorder hype. Just wait for final reviews and then decide about buying or not.

Re: Rumour: GTA 6 Pre-Orders Incoming as Game IDs Are Finally Added to PS5 Database
Two main questions in life currently:
1. When Ps5 system update with the new PSSR toggle?
2. When GTA6? Will it remain on 19th November??

Re: Sony Confirms Big PS5 Pro Upgrade Is Out in March, Better PSSR Upscaler
@Scottyy yeah true but you can’t go too low in terms of resolution. 1080p is a good value. Probably, depending on the game, ~900p is suitable too.
