It's hard to feel bad for anyone who dropped $200 on this when the Fallout 4 CE was garbage. They had plenty of red flags hitting them in the face, that's for sure.

@Kidfried I don't think you could pay me enough to even visit that site to skim through their articles, but from what gets forwarded here, most stories are created from heresay and "anonymous sources." If you expect me to believe a site of their size and clickbait style isn't going to report on every single rumor regarding the PS5 for the clicks, there's just no way. I'd be willing to bet good ole Liam over at NL will be reporting on PS5 rumors just as much too.

I bet 95% of them will come from Kotaku too.

@BAMozzy Well for the game being made under the Bioware umbrella, with EA attached, and the recent debacle that was Fallout 76, I have a feeling people will be more reserved than ever when it comes to this game. We all know by this point that most games release in "beta" state anyways, but they could at least try to hide it better

Seems a bit worrying a game of this scale made by a large company is three months away from release and still in alpha, no?

@ShogunRok Obviously DAI wasn't hated too much, or at least Bioware was oblivious to it (go figure) considering they basically copy-pasted the open world and quest structure directly into ME Andromeda.

I'm sure knowing Bioware it will be something lame like a character model on a screen.

They just responded online with what I would call the "Sean Murray" approach, stating they were too silent at first, but promising more transparency and support from here on out. I think it's a little late for that honestly, but time will tell.

Those shoes represent everything that was wrong with the 90s. Sony should've backed out of this one.

I'd have to see some in depth reviews before making this purchase. I tried playing this on my PC recently and I could barely hold above 60fps with a 1080, so unless they made some significant engine optimizations, this is going to run very poorly in VR.

Reading this review gives me the feeling @ShogunRok is damn frustrated over the fact that one of his favorite past developers has fallen so far. I feel your pain, same thing happened to me with Bioware.

Very happy to see this game get praise, even if the awards ceremony is itself a joke (Fortnite GOTY, go home you're drunk)

I mean, we know Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, The Last of Us 2, Days Gone, Dreams, Medieval Remake, FF7 Remake are on the way, so I'm not losing confidence in them at all. Maybe appease the fanbase with SOME piece of info or update we haven't been given, it's certainly better than radio silence.

Why do they need to show up to an event, set up shop, and spend millions when they could just release some trailers online and call it a day? Makes sense to me. Release some demos on PSN so we get to play some of what they're teasing and we can call it even.

I think after botching Destiny 1 and 2 releases and season passes, and the Diablo Immortal debacle, a lot of people are in "wait and see" mode whenever Activision's name is attached to a project.

Not sure which is worse, the fact that this turned out to be a mediocre product, or the fact that Sony did this first instead of giving us the ability to play our PS1 games on PS4......

Bioware is a shell of it's former self. All of the good talent left a long time ago, and they keep bringing back the people who screwed up the end of the trilogy in the first place on their new projects. Rest in peace ME trilogy, may a better developer come along and fill in the gap left in the sci-fi space opera black hole.

Another Kotaku fail at it's finest, reporting on rumors before going to the actual source for actual facts. For every good piece of journalism they write, there's 15 screw ups following it up.

Eh, not my game of the year. Some systems are really nice, others are beyond clunky. Hard to get "immersed" in a game when you run your horse into a tree because he won't steer.....and it somehow triggers the wanted system..

Man, if this type of lawsuit becomes the norm, Kotaku will be shut down in the next few months. It's a win-win, less spoilers, less clickbait, and money for charity!

I canceled my preorder, I much share @rjejr's statement about really wsnting a Squeenix box moreso than a PS1 mini. I'll just save $100 and hook my PS3 up to my PC monitor instead.

@Rob_230 They're two very different games, you'd think Capcom would want to drive up nostalgia for the original RE2 to get people hyped for the remake, then again we don't know if they had any say in what games were chosen for this system.

Is anyone actually looking forward to this? They're already pushing it on X1X hard with a discounted bundle that included RDR2, sounds like it's not performing well with preorders.

I can't believe, especially with the upcoming release of RE2 Remake, that they chose RE1 over 2. Pretty disappointing to be honest.

I wasn't going to, but somehow my best buy gamers club discount is still working even though I didn't sign up again. So yeah, for $45 I picked it up, even if I won't play it for a week or so.

@Octane It's one of those games that had to be played when it came out. Nothing revolutionary, but a fun and unique game at the time based on it's humor and gameplay. It hasn't aged well at all.....but the remake is definitely worth looking into!

We've been living in a "release now, fix later (maybe)" culture for almost a decade now. Companies coming out and openly admitting we are paying beta testers doesn't make it any better, and it's only going to get worse from here on out now that they are "owning up" to it.

Subtitle says it all, if they want me to play this, they better be paying me to do so, not alpha testing their three year cash grab.
