Re: Sony: The World's Got All the Battle Royale It Needs Right Now

RedMageLanakyn

@Tasuki I can break it down for you:

Do you want to dance, with the possibility for building and maybe shooting? Fortnite.

Do you want to spend 15 minutes hiding in a bathtub, with the possibility for some early or late game intense action where your shots may or may not connect based on shoddy netcode? PUBG.

Do you want to die in 5 hits, even with Max level armor and health? Blackout.

Do you want a hybrid of blackout and overwatch? Apex legends.

Everything else? Try at your own risk

Re: Game of the Month: Best PS4 Games of January 2019

RedMageLanakyn

Kingdom Hearts has been fun, but RE2 Remake has absolutely killed it in terms of fun and replayability. The mods on PC are keeping things fun and interesting as well!

@GKO900 "prefer a REmake 2 with archaic gameplay"

Yet here we are with KH3 having the same "press X" combat loop since the very first game

Re: Kingdom Hearts III - An Ending Worthy of the Wait

RedMageLanakyn

The combat is definitely the best the series has ever seen, no doubt about that. However, with this game being 10 years in the making, and so many loose ends to tie up because they just couldn't stop making spin offs, the story is next to incoherent for normal people. Like, I get it, but I don't GET it.

Re: New Batman Arkham Game Rumours Sound Like Absolute Nonsense

RedMageLanakyn

If they were going for the quick cash grab, it wouldn't take them very long at all to put together a game like described above. They could use the same engine and assets for everything except voices and slap together something for co op pretty easily.

All of that being said.....I really don't see Rocksteady being that stupid to throw away the good reputation they've built up. Might as well call this game Arkham 76 if it is somehow real.

Re: Hands On: ANTHEM Shows Promise in VIP Demo, But the Finished Game Needs to Be So Much Better

RedMageLanakyn

Feels to me like EA wanted to cash in on the Destiny craze, so they pulled the best (?) parts of Andromeda and tried to cobble something together. It's very worrying they had THIS many problems with online stuff, considering Bioware Austin (the team who has been working on SWTOR for 8 years) was assisting with this game.

Time will tell if this game turns out to be good, but it's going to take a LOT of time to convince me this isn't another bad Bioware game.

Re: Guide: Resident Evil 2 Remake - Tips and Tricks for Beginners

Aim for the legs, they tend to stagger them more often than not, and give you a second or two to run past them. Also, there are some zombies that cannot enter other areas through doors, use this to your advantage by opening the door, getting a couple shots in, and running past them.

You can also go through a zombie as it is busting open a door, you have about a second to clip through them.

Re: ANTHEM VIP Demo Immediately Crumbles Under Server Stress

RedMageLanakyn

Friend gave me a demo code to try out, hilarity insued when none of us could connect to the same expedition at the same time. One time I spawned in without a head, and had no weapons or abilities. Also, for one person, the game was maxing out their CPU, using 85% of it, while myself with the same CPU, it was only using 10%.

If this game is less than a month out and they're having these types of problems, might as well say your goodbyes to Bioware now. EA has a bullet with their name on it.

Re: Days Gone Puts a Frightening Number of Freakers on Screen

RedMageLanakyn

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L It's all good, I try to respect everyone else's opinion when it comes to games they may dislike/like. Here's hoping when the game releases, it proves me wrong and gives me a reason to pick it up. I'd hate to see a first party Sony title fail to live up to their excellent reputation.

Re: Days Gone Puts a Frightening Number of Freakers on Screen

RedMageLanakyn

@JJ2 My playstyle in this game or any other has absolutely nothing to do with the footage we have been shown. From what we have seen, you have plenty of time and opportunity to plan out an attack on the horde. If the final game represents something different, that's fine. I'm going off of what we have been shown.

The reason I am commenting "(so much, which I think I've made maybe 4 comments across several articles?) is because I trust first party Sony games to be fantastic, and based off what I have seen, I'm not getting that feeling with this game. Don't take this wrong way, I mean this in a friendly way, but it's hard to take quips and nasty comments from that other guy based on your profile pic, and his account being recently created and ONLY making comments on articles involving this game, it sounds like you're defending this game because you believe so much in it, that it offends you to see someone say something that isn't praise.

Re: Days Gone Puts a Frightening Number of Freakers on Screen

RedMageLanakyn

@Gamer4Lyfe I bring up legitimate criticisms I have with the game on a public gaming site and now I'm cancer? Sounds like you need a timeout from the internet big guy, how many banned accounts have you gone through with comments like that? Based on when this one was created, I'd say quite a few. I'm done with you, you're clearly someone with an agenda against people who don't agree with your opinion.

Re: Days Gone Puts a Frightening Number of Freakers on Screen

RedMageLanakyn

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L How is it adding a sense of panic when you have an infinite amount of time to plot their demise as long as you sneak around? I'd rather have fewer, smarter AI that make you think on the fly and challenge you than "here's a horde, here's your layout, find the best way to make them all dead".

Re: Soapbox: The Destiny Divorce - What Bungie and Activision's Split Could Mean for Destiny

RedMageLanakyn

To be honest, regardless of the split with Activision or not, I think I'm done with destiny at launch after spending full price for everything this time around. Over $200 later, and even WITH friends this time around to do raids and endgame activities, I've still put more time into Rocket League last year.

Yes, I've had fun, and yes, I've gotten what I guess I would consider my money's worth. But in the end, patience will literally save me hundreds of dollars. That's my mantra moving forward this year for all games. (RE2 and KH3 being exceptions because, well, they've earned it)
