Do you want to dance, with the possibility for building and maybe shooting? Fortnite.
Do you want to spend 15 minutes hiding in a bathtub, with the possibility for some early or late game intense action where your shots may or may not connect based on shoddy netcode? PUBG.
Do you want to die in 5 hits, even with Max level armor and health? Blackout.
Do you want a hybrid of blackout and overwatch? Apex legends.
Wait, you mean to tell me....a dev actually LEARNED something from their previous mistakes and corrected it?! Based on what we've seen from Bungie, Bioware, and others, I honestly did not think that was possible in today's world.
@AFCC Apex Legends is clearly their back-up plan they had stashed in the event that Anthem didn't meet their pre-order expectations. Gotta make money through cannibalizing one studio/franchise or the other
Meanwhile, the two games that do have crossplay enable, have been missing basic features, and network lag reduction on ALL platforms. But no one seems to focus on them fixing those....
Kingdom Hearts has been fun, but RE2 Remake has absolutely killed it in terms of fun and replayability. The mods on PC are keeping things fun and interesting as well!
@GKO900 "prefer a REmake 2 with archaic gameplay"
Yet here we are with KH3 having the same "press X" combat loop since the very first game
The combat is definitely the best the series has ever seen, no doubt about that. However, with this game being 10 years in the making, and so many loose ends to tie up because they just couldn't stop making spin offs, the story is next to incoherent for normal people. Like, I get it, but I don't GET it.
You mean the year's worth of last-gen ports and indie titles and cardboard toys from Nintendo couldn't outperform PSN with it's constant flash sales, larger customer base, and first party launches?! I'm shocked
So how does this work? Does someone create a "game" or whatever in Dreams, and then upload it to PSN? Does the person looking to play it need to download something separately?
If they were going for the quick cash grab, it wouldn't take them very long at all to put together a game like described above. They could use the same engine and assets for everything except voices and slap together something for co op pretty easily.
All of that being said.....I really don't see Rocksteady being that stupid to throw away the good reputation they've built up. Might as well call this game Arkham 76 if it is somehow real.
Feels to me like EA wanted to cash in on the Destiny craze, so they pulled the best (?) parts of Andromeda and tried to cobble something together. It's very worrying they had THIS many problems with online stuff, considering Bioware Austin (the team who has been working on SWTOR for 8 years) was assisting with this game.
Time will tell if this game turns out to be good, but it's going to take a LOT of time to convince me this isn't another bad Bioware game.
Mr X is absolutely terrifying in the remake, so I can only imagine what they would do with Nemesis. Definitely will take an RE3 remake, then how about a Dino Crisis remake as well? That game deserves it.
Having this come out for free and so soon after release makes the delayed March release of the classic skins all the more baffling. Oh well, Capcom DID have to be Capcom at some point
@Pamela Agreed, but Bioware is in the position with EA that if this flops, they're most likely getting put in the pile of other studios they've laid to rest. You'd think they would put forth more effort than what they are currently to ensure the stability of their entire studio.
Aim for the legs, they tend to stagger them more often than not, and give you a second or two to run past them. Also, there are some zombies that cannot enter other areas through doors, use this to your advantage by opening the door, getting a couple shots in, and running past them.
You can also go through a zombie as it is busting open a door, you have about a second to clip through them.
After attempting to play missions during the beta and having several of the problems listed, all I can say is good luck everyone. Something tells me this game is being rushed out to meet a deadline set by EA, and the undertaker is already measuring Bioware for it's burial suit.
Friend gave me a demo code to try out, hilarity insued when none of us could connect to the same expedition at the same time. One time I spawned in without a head, and had no weapons or abilities. Also, for one person, the game was maxing out their CPU, using 85% of it, while myself with the same CPU, it was only using 10%.
If this game is less than a month out and they're having these types of problems, might as well say your goodbyes to Bioware now. EA has a bullet with their name on it.
I'm sure we'll all be devastated in 5 years when the first episode of FF7 remake comes out and some people will have to wait an additional 3 months. Go suck an egg and get a better handle on your own company dude.
@LiamCroft I have read in other reviews that there are "B" scenarios that you unlock for Claire and Leon by beating their respective "A" scenarios. Did you get to try either of those, and if you did, were they significantly different, i.e. offer different endings or weapons for either of them?
Free is great, but two months ths after launch to release these seems like a bad move for a game of this type and length. I hope they have some massive after launch support planned if they're doing things like this.
@NintendoFan4Lyf I would expect KH3 to be a minimum of 30-40 hours on first playthrough if you rush through and skip cutscenes, definitely 50+ if you go for side quests and such.
I believe Capcom has stated recently that completing both scenarios for Leon and Claire will take around 10 hours, not including extra modes like tofu or hunk.
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L It's all good, I try to respect everyone else's opinion when it comes to games they may dislike/like. Here's hoping when the game releases, it proves me wrong and gives me a reason to pick it up. I'd hate to see a first party Sony title fail to live up to their excellent reputation.
@JJ2 My playstyle in this game or any other has absolutely nothing to do with the footage we have been shown. From what we have seen, you have plenty of time and opportunity to plan out an attack on the horde. If the final game represents something different, that's fine. I'm going off of what we have been shown.
The reason I am commenting "(so much, which I think I've made maybe 4 comments across several articles?) is because I trust first party Sony games to be fantastic, and based off what I have seen, I'm not getting that feeling with this game. Don't take this wrong way, I mean this in a friendly way, but it's hard to take quips and nasty comments from that other guy based on your profile pic, and his account being recently created and ONLY making comments on articles involving this game, it sounds like you're defending this game because you believe so much in it, that it offends you to see someone say something that isn't praise.
@Gamer4Lyfe I bring up legitimate criticisms I have with the game on a public gaming site and now I'm cancer? Sounds like you need a timeout from the internet big guy, how many banned accounts have you gone through with comments like that? Based on when this one was created, I'd say quite a few. I'm done with you, you're clearly someone with an agenda against people who don't agree with your opinion.
@Gamer4Lyfe Thanks, that never crossed my mind. I guess I should just not voice my opinions or criticisms on a public commenting site while I'm at it too, huh? If you don't like my comments, you can ignore them, I'll continue voicing my opinion though, thanks.
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L How is it adding a sense of panic when you have an infinite amount of time to plot their demise as long as you sneak around? I'd rather have fewer, smarter AI that make you think on the fly and challenge you than "here's a horde, here's your layout, find the best way to make them all dead".
I still don't get it, this game in general. It's like they're trying to imitate Horizon Zero Dawn with hordes for zombies instead of mecha dinos. All I'm going to say after watching that video is: quality over quantity.
Game is garbage, can confirm. Received as a gift (troll?) and it's pretty bad. Imagine a Payday 2 mod with next to nothing in terms of QA, for full price. Yikes. I hope this is a wake up call for them, because if it isn't, they're going to join the cast of the walking dead.
@ShogunRok Except for me, when playing through ME1-3, I felt like I actually HAD a choice all the way up to the end. In AC, your choices are "are you horny or not so horny" for a majority of what I've played. They feel contextually different.
I don't think comparing this to ME3 is appropriate in this situation. Your character in AC is the walking definition of "get paid, get laid" in just about every situation in the game. ME3 took away your choice at the very end.
To be honest, regardless of the split with Activision or not, I think I'm done with destiny at launch after spending full price for everything this time around. Over $200 later, and even WITH friends this time around to do raids and endgame activities, I've still put more time into Rocket League last year.
Yes, I've had fun, and yes, I've gotten what I guess I would consider my money's worth. But in the end, patience will literally save me hundreds of dollars. That's my mantra moving forward this year for all games. (RE2 and KH3 being exceptions because, well, they've earned it)

Re: Sony: The World's Got All the Battle Royale It Needs Right Now
@Tasuki I can break it down for you:
Do you want to dance, with the possibility for building and maybe shooting? Fortnite.
Do you want to spend 15 minutes hiding in a bathtub, with the possibility for some early or late game intense action where your shots may or may not connect based on shoddy netcode? PUBG.
Do you want to die in 5 hits, even with Max level armor and health? Blackout.
Do you want a hybrid of blackout and overwatch? Apex legends.
Everything else? Try at your own risk
