I've successfully held off on buying Ni no Kuni 2 in order to finish up my Co-op far cry 5 run. Most likely going to work on 100% hollow knight run, maybe some Celeste as well.
I'm one of those unfortunate people that immediately notices frame drops and it drives me insane. I'll try out both modes and see just how not "smooth" it is when it's at 2160.
@Tasuki On Roku the app would crash constantly, and the audio/video would be out of sync most of the time. I tried it on PC and it was a little better, but it would have the desync problems plus low quality/buffering issues on a solid ethernet connection. I tried it both at it's beginning and again about two months ago, and same issues even with different equipment and ISPs. The interface was really nice though, just not worth the $25-$30 a month I was paying for all the issues I had with it.
@rjejr I tried Vue for a few months, really couldn't get used to it's layout to be honest. Used it mostly on a Roku. Honestly I haven't really found a "good" live TV streaming service, I definitely won't touch Sling TV with a 40 foot cattle prod either!
I guess I'm fortunate to have a friend that recently gave me access to his Xfinity and Google Plus services, so i'm covered for all things TV and music related.
I'm not sure why anyone would want survival aspects added to a far cry game, it's pretty clear they're chasing the 80's and 90's blockbuster action movie feel since the third entry. I'm just glad there's full campaign co-op, really looking forward to that!
I really wish Bloodborne had a pause button when offline. I had 3 occasions where I had to let myself get killed during a boss fight due to having to get up from playing. Anyways....PS4 is Bloodborne, PC is FFXV, and Switch is Master Mode BotW.
If they were going for the Breath of the Wild terrible knock off of the year, it looks like we have our first nominee. Hey, at least the weapons aren't breakable
Eh, I think the last game I bought from them was PVZGW2, and it was pretty average. Their annual sports games/battlefield games sell well, but that seems to be about it.
@PS_Nation Moreso the people who flat out refused to buy Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 because of the exclusivity deal. I think it's pretty pathetic for someone to get so riled up over something like that, especially when there was a plethora of quality games to play in that year of exclusivity. Plus it came with all the DLC, at a lower price.
Please. For the love of God, Ubisoft. Do not pull a Destiny 2 here. Take alllllllll the improvements you've made in Division 1, and put them in the sequel. Please.
Not gonna lie, God of War is preordered and I took a couple days off work for that week. I've had a rough few months and I'm ready to seal myself in a room and just get immersed.
I'm actually quite surprised this game is getting a physical release, it has the look and feel of a digital only game. Not a knock by any means, just doesn't seem like it's big enough for that.
@Porco There's a lot of reviews and opinions I heavily disagree with here, and obviously you don't want to take someone's opinion as gospel, but saying the site's credibility is going down just because one reviewer liked a game and was able to overlook it's faults more so than what, 20 other people? I'd call that a bit too extreme. I could site a few reviews at some sister sites affiliated with this one that have done way, way worse things than hand out an 8 on a well written review, but it's not worth getting into really.
@get2sammyb Come on now Sammy, you know a person like Kojima doesn't change his habits. Death Stranding has at least three more script rewrites before it's ready for alpha testing
I just came here for the obligatory whiners, i'm actually slightly surprised there's so many level headed comments here already! Implied large amount of sarcasm here, btw
Such a shame. It's obvious they've put some work into this, but not enough in the right places to justify a $40 price tag with the same glaring problems almost every review seems to point out. I'll stick with the classic for now.
I'm all tapped out on open world games at the moment, and definitely not interested in playing a game with Bugthesda level problems from an even less experienced developer.
@Ralizah If I remember correctly, I spent about 12 hours when it first released, took a break for about a month, and thought "eh, I'll give it another shot" and was done after another 12-13 hours. Definitely disappointing, though as others have mentioned above, the heartbreak I felt with Andromeda may never heal.
@clvr I peeked over there awhile ago after hearing they have a new editor, and while they definitely haven't learned to proofread yet, they have a far bigger problem to fix in their (lack of) source checking and constant clickbait.
This is pretty much how I felt when FF13 came out. Having played almost every FF leading up to that point, the fanboy glasses came off around the 25 hour mark. This is part of the reason I have yet to play more than 20 minutes of FFXV, i'm worried I will be let down again, and I don't think my heart could handle another FF letdown.
@get2sammyb I guess for me since I play on PC a lot, I'm still able to discover some gems, and since I have a two hour demo, it feels a lot less risky. I'd say in the past two years I've found at least a dozen indie games that have blown my expectations away, and I knew nothing about them before I picked them up. As a kid, spending $60-$80 on a game and having it turn out to be a dud was just painful. So i guess today I'm getting the best of both worlds!
I'm ok with extensive coverage and several reviews to read before games come out. I wasted hundreds on games as a teenager that looked great from the box art/magazine articles, but were absolute rubbish.
I believe this was modded into the first game on PC, and someone also made a mod for this one as well. I'm actually wondering if it's a combined influence from RE7 and that, although the action in this game is a lot faster. Seems like FP mode would be awkward at best.
Dang, was hoping to jump into the series at some point, looks like I can wait a bit longer. I enjoyed DQH2 a lot, and I'll probably try out Hyrule Warriors at some point too.
@adf86 @Porco I get it, you guys aren't konami fans, neither am I really. But what they're doing is making them money, and they'll continue to do those things regardless.
You can always look for another job while you're working at your current one, it really is that simple. People will complain about a job but stay there because they're comfortable. It's hard to break habit, but can be done.
@Porco Good for you. I know when to not argue with a Kojima diehard, so i'll back out. For the record, I acknowledge Konami's bad business moves in regards to how they treated staff, and i'm not defending them, but you know what? If I work somewhere and am treated badly, I find another job. If their work conditions are as bad as some have claimed, they'll be out of business soon, but according to their numbers, they're thriving based on the business decisions they've made in the past few years. Weird, huh?
@Porco It's pretty common knowledge that development of the game started in 2012, released in 2016, he missed deadlines (something he was famous for) and had a budget of $80 million. Feel free to look it up yourself if you think i'm making it up.
@adf86 They gave him over 4 years and an 80 million dollar budget. He broke multiple deadlines that were set for him and his team as he tried to make sense out of all the "mature and taboo themes" he wanted to put in the game. Simply put, the game got put out the way it did because they gave him too much control, and he spent (wasted) millions and years of time and hadn't even come up with a complete game. You can say F konami all day, but i think the people that treat Kojima as a God are far worse, and the vocal majority.

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Characters Leaked Through More Datamining
I would've been happier with Gogeta to be honest. His moves would look sooooooo sick with that engine...

Why release it in a single package when they could split it up and charge S40 for SP and MP separately?!
