Will be starting Mixtape this evening on GPU. If I enjoy it as much as Artful Escape then I'll buy on Playstation to have a 2nd play through later on in the year. Also still working on monster energy supercross 4. Been playing a good bit of Saros, which was a surprise as I hated Returnal.

Will be playing through GPU and once finished will leave it a few years and then buy it on Playstation. No stupid eliminator trophy or achievement in this one.

So this live service game has a campaign that can be played in single player? Sounds likely they're already panicking about not getting enough players. Just this and Fair games left to release and hopefully that'll be the end of Sony chasing the live service money.

Starting this game this evening the amount of patches and content that has been added after release is really impressive.

After not getting on with Returnal, I decided to say stuff it and got Saros. Played a couple of hours and have enjoyed it more than I did Returnal. Also picked up Crimson Desert so will start that this evening. I'm working through platinuming all the monster energy supercross games. So these are a welcome break.

I'll probably pick it up on sale next year. Too many other games this year and not enough interest in GTA anymore to care.

@XenonKnight I honestly wouldn't be surprised at this point. With games change to this year despite being given years the last anyone had seen of them

Word is that Fable could be delayed. So Horizon 6 might be the only one released on PS5 if they do decide to do a 180. I still think it's a stupid idea dropping all their big games the year before their new console is to release. If they're going back to exclusives then it would make more sense to keep them to launch alongside the next console. A hybrid approach might be best. Like release all Activision and Bethesda games multiplatform then the core Xbox games studio games keep exclusive.

@Kiltedhaggis Yes totally, the rest of the games MS has released haven't done massive numbers. Though the next lot that are scheduled probably will. The Halo remake, the new Gears of war and Fable. I think if MS made them console exclusive that would help the next console. Which currently who knows what games it'll release with as they're releasing all their big hitters this year. So they'll just advertise that they play better on the new console. I'm with u. I'll be keeping the series X for quite a while as I still have free GPU for a couple of years yet thanks to the reward points. So yea if they switch to exclusives then will get the new one at some stage.

@Kiltedhaggis Well, we have here an article complaining that Horizon 6 is not releasing on PS5 at the same time as Xbox and how MS must be kicking themselves. 5 million plus sales on a how many years old game? It's fair to say that Horizon 6 will sell well whenever it is released on PS5. So ppl that just have a PS5 will be upset if they played 5 and were looking forward to 6. I agree about exclusives, it def has been proven over the years. If MS are serious about selling their new console they need to have games to make people buy it. Being able to play steam games isn't going to make me buy it. When I can get the PS6 and play Sony and MS games it just wipes out a whole lot of people.

Didn't seem to hurt Horizon 5 sales when it wasn't released back in the day. Horizon 6 will sell fine when it releases. Would be kinda funny though if Xbox did a complete 180 and stopped all the multiplatform releases (other than COD). Could u imagine the uproar?

Why would Sony lower their price just because MS has lowered the price of GPU? Crazy take saying Sony need to lower it to compete? Really? I didn't know Xbox sales were so close to PS5 sales.... Was there not a story doing the rounds recently that Sony was going to look at ways of getting more money out of its players?

What a massive waste of money and lack of foresight from the head of playstation. COVID wasn't going to last forever, so investing heavily in online gaming that was getting a massive boost because of it was crazy. I might be in the minority but I've never played a last of us game and thought I'd love a multiplayer game of this.

Streaming is awful. Hope it never replaces consoles.

Haven't used the switch 2 or PS Portal in months. So I'll def not be getting another portable console.

Played this on GPU last year and enjoyed it. It's an interesting game, I wouldn't say no to a more expanded follow up.

@hol_up Totaly, if the prices continue like this and the PS6 isn't delayed beyond next year then it'll make more sense to just change to that. Just saw some posts on Reddit of ppl buying 2 and was like how many are doing that!

Anyone buying a 2nd PS5 Pro as a backup incase the current one breaks?

I'll do what I normally do and just watch the videos after for the games I'm interested in. Will be interesting to see if MS start backing away from multiplatform releases now. Or if they continue. I'm got GPU for another 2 years but I kind of want to pay and play Horizon 6 on the PS5 Pro because Horizon 5 looks and runs better on it. Haven't really used the series X in a long time and even the last 6 months was only turning it on to get the daily reward points but I've even stopped doing that.

Glad switched from base to pro when it launch. For the first time ever I'm not too bothered about rushing to get the next generation of consoles. I'll happily keep my pro and play through the backlog and the games that will release for it over the next 3 or 4 years.

@DartLOD Shame there's soo many people buying a brand new game and not bothering to play it. Maybe they just admire the cover art.... Hands up who buys games at full price and then don't play them?

@Northern_munkey I got the plat for dirt rally 2.0 in preparation for EA WRC thinking they would be able to deliver on their previous efforts. When EA WRC first released the difference was astronomical. The roads were wide and flat, it was like playing Grid legends. I probably should have said EA rather than codemasters. They should not have forced them to switch to the UE4 engine. I haven't played it in a good while, so not sure if they've made any improvements to it. Enjoyed Seb Loeb as well, so cheap but still a decent game. Someone needs to tell Sony to buy KT on the cheap so they can have a rally game series.

@Northern_munkey Yea unfortunately that could be an age before we get it. Was really looking forward to another good WRC game. EA WRC was such a massive disappointment. From dirt rally 2.0 to that. Codemasters finally got the license and completely dropped the ball.

Doesn't sound good at all! Someone save KT! Need their new rally game. It's meant to be out next year so it must be quite far along.

@Boomers-r-us I've never had stick drift on any of my PS5 controllers. Or any controllers for that matter. I don't know what u all are doing to them. So they are def not "designed to fail"

@AdamNovice They might do something similar to what they did with PS4 and PS5 and have some overlap. I'd expect 3rd parties to do PS6 and PS5 releases longer.

I'm probably on my own here but I don't give a meh about Square Enix. I'm just not interested in the games they make.

Didn't really like returnal so hadn't been really looking at this game much. However it's hilarious that PC players and likely a lot of Xbox players are crying about missing out on it.

Never got into it much with Tsushima. So will probably be the same here as well. Will play it for a bit and leave it.

@KoopaTheGamer I cannot see them letting u use it as a proper PC. It's going to be a locked down box. It may have windows running, but you'll be locked into Xbox dashboard and then storefronts.

Wow I thought they were going to at least pull back a bit and keep some exclusives. Maybe timed exclusives will be the way they roll from now on. If they do continue to release games on the PS5 and PS6 then there's no need at all for the Xbox console.

@Number09 The only thing I've been disappointed in for this generation is the amount of single player exclusives compared to previous generations. They also released some of the big games on PS4 as well so that drops the exclusive numbers down. While games take longer to develop now, it also hasn't been helped with Sony going all in on the live service games. Which they seem to have started to move away from thankfully.

The PS5 Pro is a good upgrade from the standard PS5. Will be interesting to see how they try to market the PS6 to get people to move away from the PS5 Pro. As I could happily keep using it for another few years yet.

@Number09 Mad take, getting on like ur better than people that use their PS5s. PS4 Pro was the loudest console I've ever had. It was properly distracting when playing games. You do know that the PS5 can play PS4 games? 😉

I don't use the series X enough for me to justify getting another Xbox no matter what the price is. Turn it on for 15 minutes a day to get the reward points.
