Wow touched a nerve. I didn't say it was a good thing or I agree with it. Just pointing out that PC has been digital for far longer and was there this uproar when that happened? From the responses however it appears ppl are not annoyed so much that they're going full digital but that they're going to be stuck in the Playstation ecosystem. Which ur stuck with when u buy a playstation anyway.. The suggestion that there won't suddenly be sales when it goes fully digital is very far fetched. Maybe wait and see what Sony have planned for the PS6 first. They'll likely have an disk drive add on. Or maybe they'll do a disk to digital switch like what MS are looking into. Game purchases are not like the movies that were removed from PlayStation and Xbox. I still have access to the digital games I bought on the 360 on my series X. They'll also be available to download if I was to get the next Xbox. There is no reason to doubt that PS4 and PS5 digital games will not be supported on the PS6.

The reaction has been a bit overkill. PC has been digital for how long now and has multiple digital storefronts and launchers and people aren't up in arms about it. Just buy games when they go on sale the same way PC gamers do with steam.

I've been buying a good few disk games this generation. So They'll all need to be finished with before the move to PS6.

If you weren't already locked into the Sony ecosystem you will be in 2028.

This tourism boost/push also happened with Tsushima. It's good and will be interesting to see where the 3rd game is set. Also what kind of story they have for it.

@Accipitridae A proper reason to use it. Sorry to hear u suffer from chronic back pain. Hope ur getting it managed. It's awful, I got 8 injections in my lower back about 3 years ago. The pain just comes and goes now depending on what I'm doing. Will be interesting to see the price difference between it and the console. I'll be sticking with the Pro for the foreseeable. I can't see the PS6 being that much of a jump over it to warrant the expense.

Having a switch 2 that I never use and and PS Portal that I've used a couple of times. I am not the target market for these devices. I don't have kids, have more than 1 TV, don't commute and don't game when I go on holidays. 🙂

A novelty for Rockstar to focus on a new game instead of just milking old games.

Had been interested in the game but then saw the word roguelite and I'm instantly put off. Those types of games are just not for me.

@REALAIS The thing is they could release it, spending more on manufacturing and advertising. Then find that hardly anyone buys it if it's over 1k. We don't know how feasible it is for them to delay it with all the contracts they'll have in place for parts etc. Sony might be I'm a position where they have no option but to go ahead. I think it's fair for people to give their options on if it's too soon or not. It would have to be a good difference over the Pro for me to get the 6. Not even a big difference, just a good difference and I can't see it being that. Maybe we'll all be shocked and the PS6 is a powerful beast and is a massive difference over the PS5 Pro. However when they say it's been designed to a budget it's highly unlikely.

They've said they're designing the PS6 to a budget. Will that budget be much of a difference over the PS5 Pro? I can't see it, not with the prices that were seeing. Unless they compare it to the base PS5 and the Pro being slightly below the PS6. They really need to just leave the PS6 to 2030 and hope for some kind of normality to have returned. Though the other thought is it could be even worse....

I'm happy with the Pro atm. If they can get out of the hardware deals without having to pay much then it would make sense to delay it.

@MikeOrator Yea there's going to be a crazy amount of hype for this game. Theres so many great games or games that should be great coming out this year. Still got soo many in the backlog as well and started a NG+ play through of Ragnarok after not touching the game for about 4 years. 😂 I'll probably pick up GTA next year.

@trev666 Better tell Nintendo that about Zelda. So we haven't had a proper mainline game in a while then since you play as Atreus..... The Devs specifically said that Laufey was a mainline game. From what I've seen it follows the other games from a different perspective.

I missed one of the collectables and after you finish the story you can't "officially" access the area again. I managed to jump and jump and make my way in. Great game, hopefully we get another.

After 4 years I've gone back to GoWR and started an NG+ play through so will be continuing with that. Looks stunning on the Pro. Probably do some Horizon 6 weekly stuff as well.

I started playing it but have stopped. Due to the rate of the updates and the improvements they're making and planning to make. I think I'll go back to it next year as they're going to improve the story and I wasn't that far in.

Wolverine and Laufey are the only games I'll be getting day 1 from the show.

When your last game was the horrendous Drawn to Death I don't think you can realistically get away with saying anything looks like sh*t. That is def not something you can say about Laufey. The game looks stunning. It may not be what everyone wanted the next God of war game to be but it does look great.

@DennisReynolds @Slideaway1983 So Faye is still a gaint then but just seems to have found herself in the afterlife for gods and goddesses. Which obviously is not where she should be if she wasn't a goddess. Or could she be a gaint goddess?So is Kratos classed as a giant in the Norse games? Or is that just a name given to him by the giants? It's a name that def works for him. It's been ages since I played through them.

@DennisReynolds That gets even stranger then. Is Loki not Kratos son then in the game?

With Ghost of Yotei having been released now they can start teasing Ghost of Tsushima 2. Also God of War downpour of games. Freya and Loki full game spin-offs and the next main game set in Egypt.

@Faraz27 Same here. Also make sure you don't play a game the same day you buy it if buying anything digital at all.

@Dragon83 If you use PSN profiles it's not hard to see when you started playing a game and then use that to get access...

Until this is resolved by Sony I have changed everything in my profile to only friends and deleted my PSN profiles account. I guess I'll just play games for "fun" now. 😂

Interested in this one so will give it a go this weekend between Horizon 6 and one of the backlog games.

Greed will see them do it, they'll just leave it out there until it does. They're not in a rush to release new games and just milk the same one. Then I'm not in a rush to buy their games. I'll just wait for 3 generations and pick GTA 6 up then. Haven't played GTA V since the PS3, and can say I don't really have any interest in the new one.

Going forward they really need to switch to releasing a game every other year. I know they've had a couple of years with this one. So maybe it won't be garbage. Hardly played the last 2 games and they were free thankfully. So will need to be something special to make me actually buy it. Though I really can't bring myself to do it if they still have the stupid skins. I don't want to see a Niki Minaj space unicorn running around.

If it is the new name for Fairgames that's the 3rd name for the game.

@Gedrick Yep, there's no way they're going to sell it for less than the Pro even if they're building it to a budget. We can live in hope that everything will go back to normal next year. 😂

Love my PS5 Pro, was a day 1 purchase for me. Though because of it I'll probably not get a PS6 at launch. Though obviously depends on what the PS6 can do.

Remember when Microsoft didn't have any games and those they did have were not missed by PlayStation fanboys ..... Now the thought of losing Halo, Fable, Gears and Horizon has ones worried. I think there could be a lot of changes coming at XBOX. I can see them keeping COD as multiplatform but everything else is up in the air until confirmed. It would be easier if they don't do it on a case by case basis. With all the changes will the new console actually get the rumoured access to the steam store? That's a decision I don't think makes sense. Sony took their toys off PC because they weren't doing as well as expected and also they would have been playable on the next XBOX console.

100% The correct decision. There's no value in putting their games onto PC around the same time as they release on console. The exclusives do sell systems, it's been proven time and again. Putting the games on PC in the future will also mean XBOX having access to them as well. You saw how big a deal it was for ppl playing Playstation games on the Xbox handheld Rog thing. Hopefully this means Sony will start putting out a lot more story focused single player games going forward.

Didn't really like the legends mode in Tsushima so never even bothered giving it a go in Yotei. For me they could drop it in the next game and put the extra effort into the single player.

Honestly can't wait to play this game. Paid for the premium upgrade through GPU. Though I'm not going to get to play it until Tuesday 19th cus I'm in Malta. Tried to see as little as possible about it but it looks awesome. It also has the MK4.5 Focus ST again so is a 10/10 for me. 😂 Love flying around in my mean green SX machine. 😂 Playground have been carrying MS for years.

It's anyone's guess at this point. If it does release on PS5 it'll probably be after the PC and Xbox. People saying that if it's been in development then it'll release. Is that the same as Saros and Ghost of Yotei then on PC? 🤔 If MS decide to go back to having exclusives then they will just stop the development on PS5. Same as Sony did with those 2 games when they decided to stop releasing to PC.

@For-Kier Not just IGN giving it a good review though. Not sure what the issue is with IGN giving it a high score. It's a great game. Was IGN not getting slagged off for constantly giving 7/10? People just love moaning about anything.

Online "influencers" get the most reactions and engagement by being negative. Being negative about something that has gotten great reviews just drives this even more.

I'll buy a physical game if I know for sure I'll not want to go back to it once completed. Or I'm not sure I'll like it. Like the yearly MotoGP games get the plat and sell. Others would be games I'm not sure about. For example I got Saros and Crimson Desert deluxe from Amazon. Looking at CEX, they're offering £3 than what I paid for Crimson Desert so I see it as a no brainer.

Such is the life of a live service game.
