@Moj500 I'm not sure what point ur making here. It's been a poor generation. There's no getting away from it. I'm saying that currently there is no reason that I know of for a PS5 Pro. It could be helped if we knew what Sony was working on. Would love them to bring back a lot of the franchises that they've ended or just left.

@Moj500 What is the point of a pro model in this generation? What leap has been made recently in TV technology that mimics that of 4k? Which was the reason for the PS4 Pro model releasing. Considering how hampered the start of this generation was due to the pandemic there hasn't been that many PS5 exclusives. If u are wanting people to spend 6 or 7 hundred on a mid gen refresh there needs to be a reason for it both short term and long term. That's the problem with Sony. What's Sony's next game after Astro Bot? The only game that springs to mind is that fairgames one. They're obviously working on the GoW spin off, GoT 2 and Wolverine. Though they haven't been confirmed. Can't really talk much on the Xbox side of things. I literally only turned my series X back on again this year after they announced that Blops 6 was going to be free to GPU subs. Nice £70 a year saving there. Since then I've been building my MS reward points and stacking up on free GPU.

This is the generation of Concord. 😂 Astro Bot is just reminding us of the better days. 🙂

Pre-ordered as I have no idea when or what the next Sony game is I'll get. Will be playing this next week after getting through the Blops 6 beta this weekend. Also need to do all the extra stuff that was added to the playroom before starting.

Maybe it'll last 3 weeks before being pulled. I like how he wasn't even sure of the name of the game but had heard good things about it.

Will this massive failure and the state of Destiny be enough to force Sony into going back to focusing on quality single player games that people actually want to play?

Dam, I'm probably going to miss out on the week 1 operator skin. Will only able to play the first beta for about 3 hours on the Friday. So prob not enough time to get to level 20. Least will be able to play a couple of days on the 2nd one.

Will be interesting to see how they try to justify a pro version of the PS5. I'd prefer to see some games tbh.

Wouldn't have seen an article like this back in the PS3 or PS4 days. Nobody wanted Xbox games on PlayStation back then. PS5 is out selling the series X that much it's forced MS hand. On the other side Sony has not really delivered on exclusives this generation so people are looking to get access to more games.

We need more remasters and remakes this generation! Dammit there hasn't been enough! Please keep selling us games we've already had.

I'd find it hard to believe that anyone has ever paid full price for gamepass ultimate. The price rise was always going to happen after they spent billions on Activision. Though should remember that MS put more than their own games on gamepass day 1. Sony have added a few indie games day 1 but they don't have the same money to play around with. So while it would be nice to get a couple of games a year added day 1 to PS+ it's not worth it.

I hate to say it, but the only game for the PS5 I'll probably be buying this year is Astrobot. Most of the rest I'll just get on GPU.

The MS show was great, was like the good old days of E3. Also most of the games they showed I'm interested in.

Sony and SGF were very meh. Sony really need to step it up and start showing us what's being worked on. Crying out for Wolverine and Ghost of Tsushima 2 details.

Happy to have only had to pay £30 for the vault edition. Saved me £70 this year.

What a show that was! 2nd year in a row Sony has been shown up now. 9 games and expansions coming to gamepass this year and 11 next year. 12 once u add on the next COD. 2 games from Sony for this year. Astro Bot is obviously a must buy but concord looks awful. Can't think of any that we're announced for next year.

@Malaise Agree with you, the odd remake is good for new gamers to get to appreciate old classic games. However, it's just been constant this generation.

Was a terrible show even with expectations low. Like last years show the only good game was shown at the end. That strange camera game was just pure cringe. Will be interesting to see how they market the PS5 Pro with no big games releasing. Could be 2 years in a row where the MS show is better. Which considering the state of Xbox is saying something.

That was just awful, no big games. Only Astro Bot for me out of all of them. Really aren't helping themselves if they're going to be releasing a pointless Pro console. Next for me will be the MS one in June, at least with it we're guaranteed to get more COD info.

My series X is just a gamepass console now and even then it's not used often. For this reason I'll not be buying any xbox games on the playstation. I've not gotten into either sea of thieves or grounded. Played a bit of hi-fi rush, and didn't try pentiment. Really could just rename the next xbox to GamePass Console (GPC). Especially if they do start going more full multiplatform.

I am really hoping to see something of Ghost of Tsushima 2! Even if it is going to be early next year release. Astrobot has to make an appearance, the free game was great. Wolverine and Naughty Dog's next game would be great additions as well. Trying not to get too hyped for this state of play considering some of the other disappointments.

@NinjaNicky Will need to wait and see, but can see in some instances where people will be willing to switch.

@Voltan If u don't have a series X already ur not likely going to go out and get one and a subscription just because this is on GP. What it could impact is those still waiting to upgrade from PS4 and Xbox one.

That's me using the series X more then! There's no way GP doesn't go up in price because of this.

Soo many PSVR2 games. I'm going to have to get the PSVR2 out of it's box to see if it's fixed itself.

Will the PS2 games have trophies the same as the PS1 games?

So its worth turning the series X on and downloading then.

Think MS aim is to become a massive publisher and get GP onto everything else and then leave the console market.

@MrBook Yea, def wouldn't be switching if I didn't already have it. Forza 7 def feels a lot better to play now than it did when first released. The horizon series is good craic but def needs to do something different for the next one. PS5 is the main console though. Working my way through PS4 and PS5 backlog. Just soo many great games. Loved PUBG on the PC, but too many hackers. So just left it.

@MrBook Already got series X and GP already. Only use it now and again for Forza and playing some different games on GP.

I guess I'll be moving over to the series X for COD this year then if its free with gamepass.

I played GTA 5 on the PS3. Haven't played it since and any interest I had for a new one has waned. Will pick it up on sale sometime as long as there is a good single player story.

@TedLassoNikes PSVR2 is great, think the problem with it is the lack of big games. Though saying that I haven't been keeping up with any VR news as the screens on mine went bad after 3 weeks. Sony gave me a refund
