@Darude84 I don't think he's comparing them directly. Like Mario Kart is also mentioned. Think they mean in terms of what each game offers. GT7 is the best sim racer and Horizon is the best arcade racer. They're both on different levels to other games that compare to them. Forza Motorsport was really bad when it launched, but is a lot better now. The main issue I have with it now is it's single player is live service! The single player career is not a proper career of races that are always available. It's just some races that are available for a month and then gone. It's handy though to use for the MS reward points for playing a game for 15 minutes.

Great game, have really enjoyed all the Horizon games. Though 2 and 4 are my personal faves. Booted up the first one a couple of months ago, just for old times. The game looks great on the series X, so should look stunning on the Pro. MS have heard the complaints about Sony not releasing enough exclusives on PS5 so MS have decided to share their exclusives.

So he's not settled down then? Or maybe something happens that pulls him into the Egyptian mythology. Will be a day 1 purchase for me. Hope it's a big full game. Still hope they release the smaller game that follows Atreus after ragnarok as well.

I get where ur coming from as well with people saying games are free when they're renting them. I guess they're viewed as free as its a game getting added to the service that they've already been paid for.

This year does look to be a spectacular year for GPU in terms of value. Which is probably the first time that could be said. Last year was good with Indy and COD.

Too many games and not enough time or storage room. 😂

Should look into MS reward points while they're not as good as they used to be, they will bring the price down. The closest I've gotten to paying full price for GP since it released was buying a few years worth of EA play and converting.

My GPU doesn't run out until August 2026 and then I'll just get another year with my points. Since they've brought down the amount you can stack to 13 months.

Also there's more than just 1 game to play on the service. Ive played many games that I wouldn't have tried but did because they were "free". Also saved money by being able to try games first before actually buying them on the PS5.

You should check out the games that are being added this year. If u want to play a game that's leaving u can buy it for a discount. Or wait a bit longer and buy it in a sale. Though I don't buy games on the Xbox, I use it just for GPU.

Just my thoughts on the whole "you're renting games" argument against GPU. When I was young we used to rent games from stores for 1 or 2 nights at a time.

Perhaps the only game I'll be buying this year is Ghost of Yotei. The sooner it comes out the better as I've nearly finished my 4th play through of Ghost of Tsushima.

That is an awful situation to be in. Not great to be working to save not just ur job but also the company.

Sony must be doing a complete 180 on their live service initiative. Concord cut them deep.

As I said the other day hopefully some of those assets and stories can be used on whatever they make next.

I got it when it released. Really enjoyed it for the first 5 weeks, then it broke. So got my money back and haven't been tempted to get another.

Yes there are loads of single player games that have failed. How many of these are from Sony?

Remember though, there's a lot more single player games released than live service games every year.

Astro Bot didn't sell? It had sold 1.5 million copies in November.

@YoureTooSlowBro Would love to see what Sony could make or buy with the money it's made from their live service venture so far. People keep saying they just need 1 hit. How many live service hits has there been? Fortnite, rocket league and Apex? How many have failed? Regarding the single player games. They could make the big budget games but also could make a lot more smaller scale games like Astro Bot.

Cancel Fairgame$ and Horizon and just leave bungie to work on marathon and hope it lasts longer than Concord. Then never look at live service ever again.

Wasted soo much time, money and effort for nothing. Said years ago they should have gone for ubisoft instead of bungie. At least with ubisoft they would have gotten a pile of single player IPs as well as the live service experience that ubi have. Hopefully there is something they can salvage from what they were working on. Like story ideas and game assets to then maybe they could use them to quickly fire out a few short single player game or 2. Would fill up some gaps until they get working on their next projects. Would be interesting to see how their live service game was going to work when set in the GOW universe. Hopefully all other live service projects are cancelled other than what bungie are working on.

Cold War is still the best COD there has been in years. Played a good bit of Blops 6 and just don't think it's as good.

Wish someone would pay me to make random guesses. If anything MS are the most likely to pull out of the console market. As they're moving more into publishing and getting GP on everything. Saying it's been between Sony and MS makes no sense.

When GPU starts costing me money in a couple of years time and they're releasing all their games to PlayStation after a timed exclusive then I'll be ditching the Xbox.

Seems to still be an utterly broken mess going by reddit. Not worth touching.

Ghost of Yotei is all I care about next year. No rush to get GTA 6, will probably be another game they'll milk for 3 generations.

Always said Sony should buy them. Good single player games and also have a number of live service games going.

@OldGamer999 Started doing the MS reward points again with the news that COD was going to be on GPU from day one. Mostly been playing Forza Motorsport. Its far better than it was when it first released. Thought GT7 is better. Though have played some random games as well to get the achievements for the monthly 1000 MS reward points.

Love these yearly wrap-ups. Got the Xbox one yesterday since I actually used the series X this year (451 hrs). Will be interesting to see the combined hours spent gaming this year. Last year was 1127 just for the PS5. I never even bothered checking the Xbox last year. Maybe a couple of hours it had. 😂

@Balaam_ I think the way Ghost of Tsushima did their trophies is the way it should be done. Plat for the main game and then other trophies split out into other lists so your not forced to play the multiplayer if u don't want to.

New TV arriving next week, though may as well upgrade the CX since I got the Pro. Got a physical copy of Stellar Blade and have ordered the physical copy of Black Myth: Wukong. So will be playing these over Xmas.

I still remember the day I sold my mega drive, all my games and light gun to get the PS1. A day of both sadness and happiness.

@Max_the_German Mobiles are important, but so is a console (for me anyway). I probably play about 3 hours at least a day. Between the PS5 (Pro) and Series X. Also in general a console is kept for longer than a phone....

People still complaining over the price. When an iPhone 16 Pro Max is £1600 and they'll gladly pay it and use it for a year until the next one is released. 😂😂😂

Def be jumping back into this game. Got the pro on Friday and have been playing GT7 and started the last of us part 1. Both are stunning looking.

Loving mine, it arrived yesterday. Glad the scalpers are taking a hit. They should really have learnt by now. We're not in a pandemic anymore and the Pro is not a console everyone is after.

Royal mail emailed me yesterday saying delivery today. Checking the tracking it's still sitting in England. So probably tomorrow or Saturday before I get mine. 🙁
