This week's big reveal of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced seems to have gone down exceptionally well with PS5 owners, as the most expensive version of the remake is already topping the pre-order charts.
In both the UK and the USA, the pricer Deluxe Edition is currently the "best-selling" pre-order on the PS Store. As the pre-order listings only went live two days ago, it's impressive to see the remake charting so highly in such a quick fashion.
It is currently being pre-ordered more than 007 First Light, Saros, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Games that are just a handful of weeks from launch usually command the top spots on the pre-order charts, so to see the Black Flag remake outselling these titles when it's still not due out until July is impressive.

In the UK, the Deluxe Edition is the PS Store's best-selling pre-order, while the base version is third:

In the USA, the Deluxe Edition is in the same top spot, but Saros is doing better in the region so the base version is down in fourth:

It's clear the PS5 community is willing to put its money where its mouth is when Ubisoft decides to bring back one of the Assassin's Creed series' best entries, with a release date set for 9th July 2026. You can read about the upgrades, changes, and updates in our deep dive article from the reveal.
If that Deluxe Edition takes your fancy, it bundles the base game with a Master Assassin Character Pack and a Master Assassin Naval Pack. The former contains an "Edward costume, sword, pistol, and trinket with unique perks" while the latter gives you a "sail set, ship's pet, crew attire, wheel, figurehead, and hull trim".

I've pre ordered the physical version. Can't wait, looks like they've done a really good job with it thankfully.
Can’t wait for this one, need a new open ended adventure.
Had the great but tight level RE9 and Pragmata design, so now time for something open world.
Also sounds like it should look great on the Pro.
Preordered from amazon. They are doing a launch edition, comes with a 34 page art book and a world map poster. Can't wait to jump back into the pirate world.
Remake announced of a game that's divisive: "why does this industry esp Sony do all these remakes? Nobody wants them, any of them, just stop already!!!"
Remake announced of a beloved game: "keep the remakes coming!!! Can never have enough (game goes on to be the best-selling preorder in two huge countries)
Why do people pre-order and pay so far in advance for digital copies?
They're not going to sell out...
Doesn’t surprise me with how bad AC Shadows was and preformed that we’ve been thirsty for a real AC game to play for a long time now.
Have no real desire to play this game again personally....I always thought it was just a standard assassin creed game....didn't think it was any better or worse than any other of the games
@StitchJones so many new gamers keep coming into the fray that the only people who really complain are old heads with nothing better to do. A lot of gamers just see an old game they never played coming back with updated graphics and performance and go sweet now I get to experience it too. No one who already played any remake/remaster has to buy and play the new version. Just go sit in the corner and wait for your medicine, grandpa.
I had my doubts but the overview trailer has me feeling optimistic that somewhere deep inside Ubisoft's rotting heart... they've still got a little spark.
Tempted to get Saros, black flag and 007 physical
Preordered the collector’s edition. Am I crazy? Maybe, but don’t care.
@For-Kier You totally misconstrued my whole comment. I'm all for remakes and I'm an older video game lifer. I was making fun of those who complain about remakes. I can't understand the complaints because nobody holds a gun to anyone's head and makes them buy them if they don't want. So take that Grandma!!! Construe the comment properly before you start handing out insults.
People's relationship with AC/Ubisoft is just weird. They go on and bash them all day long but are still eager to highly anticipate anything AC. Are they just in a hurry to buy it and smash it apart like those silly videos from back in the days - "smashing my new iphone/console/TV."
@Jackthelad93 That's when money is allocated, they want to make sure they get preorder bonuses, they feel like it, etc.
I don't trust that Ubisoft can just have a pure, unsullied W. They'll pull some BS shenanigans to screw fans over.
