Now exactly one week away from its PS5 release (or five days if you get the Deluxe Edition), Sony has shared the Saros launch trailer. It features story scenes and a lot of action, a lot unseen before today, so beware of potential teasing plot spoilers. Catch it above.

The trailer includes clips of areas and locations that do not look particularly native to the planet of Carcosa, suggesting team Housemarque has crafted an intriguing narrative in a similar vein to Returnal. To tell the alien story, the developer recruited graphic novelist Ram V, who helped shape the characters and the world of Saros.

Creative director Gregory Louden explained: "Ram’s approach to cosmic horror, authenticity and his perspective helped us shape Arjun and Nitya as living and breathing characters."
