Having spent a lot of this generation playing the PS4 backlog this is great.

@Waitinonpsvr2 New Sony PlayStation console is being released. How dare a PlayStation site cover it! 😂😂 Maybe click on the articles that aren't covering the new console if you don't want to read about the new console. But I'm sure ur clicks will be missed.

Got mine from CEX using a voucher I already had. The extra £15 isn't too bad when u get a 2 year warranty. Though think they've now changed it to 5 years!

@DzarkGaz Would like to think there'll be some good improvements for Apex. Will be interesting to see how much it improves older games. Loads of PS4 games still to play through.

@Weebleman I'm just trying to max out the MS reward points every day now. Try to keep the sub going using them.

@Weebleman Totally, though they're cutting back on the loopholes. MS rewards seems to be the only way to get it free now.

@DzarkGaz No worries 😁 Yea, just switching over for COD. PS5 still my main console. Main reason for getting the pro is Ghost of Yotei. Put soo much time into Ghost of Tsushima. So hoping it'll be worth it.

@DzarkGaz You do know they add other games to GPU don't u? Plus I've never actually paid full price for GPU since it was launched. Two 3 years for £1, EA play conversion and also MS reward points... I've paid very little. I've GPU up to COD 2026. I sold my launch PS5 because the PS5 Pro is arriving this week. I didn't sell my PS5 because COD is free on Xbox. 😂😂

@mrbone Ah, I thought u meant everyone subbed to GPU would just be playing the campaign. 😂 I'm hardly ever on IGN nevermind looking at comments. So if ppl are just wanting to play the campaign then 3 month sub is the way to go. for me I've never played COD just for the campaign and been done with it.

Will hopefully have the pro by the end of the week but that'll not make me buy games for it that are free through GPU.

Not really surprising numbers. I switched from PS5 to Xbox to play COD this year because it's free on GPU.

I cancelled my PS5 Pro pre-order, just going to wait for the PS6 in a couple of years time.

Ghost 1 was perfect! We need to be able to follow more foxes in the new one.

DF video and also the announcement of the new Ghost of game made me go for it in the end.

I wasn't going to order it but gave in this morning.

Where's the I'll miss Jin but can't wait to play Atsu's story option. Will be interesting to see what story they come up with. Since Tsushima was a smaller island and it was about fighting against an overwhelming invading army. This one ur a ronin looking for someone but being hunted by ronin.

The PS6 is def going to cost either the same or more than the PS5 Pro. How well the portal has done and the talk of MS releasing a proper handheld will def have Sony going down this route as well. I saw a short vid on the youtube where someone was saying Xbox has changed their strategy. They had been planning 27 or 28 like Sony but are now aiming for 26. So that was why they didn't go for a pro version of the series X. So will be interesting to see what Sony do. They could probably kill off the Xbox if they allowed gamepass onto the playstation.

Such a massive waste of money. Not looking good for the future of PlayStation if Hulst stays in charge and keeps pushing games like this. Anyone think that Marathon will fair any better?

I was against getting the standard pro, but dam that's good looking. I might be tempted to go for that bundle. 30 years since I traded in my mega drive!

Edit: UK release was 1995 September 1995. So 29 years since saying goodbye to the mega drive.

I got the PSVR2 when it released but had screen issues after a few weeks so got a refund. Was good, but don't think I'd bother getting it again.

Don't get all the comments say oh but a PC is more expensive. Yes a PC is more expensive but it does a lot more than just play games.

The Concord designs are just so bland when compared to these sketches.

For what it does is not worth paying that price. PS6 is probably 3 years away. So I'm happy waiting for that. Maybe we'll have some games that will make full use of the extra power by then.

@OldGamer999 Yea, they haven't done too well this generation. Need to release a gamepass ultimate console. Big brick with no fancy design just to use for gamepass games. 😂 There was talk of it being heavily reliant on streaming from their cloud. I really hope that's not the case.

@OldGamer999 I thought the Xbox was going for 2027 as well. Think 2027 is time enough for a new generation. There had been some talk of a mid life refresh for the Xbox as well, but that turned out to be the digital version and the other disk model with an extra 1TB of storage. No sign of the new controller either that was in the leaks either.

Can't wait for the ducks in a bath demonstration of its superior power to the standard PS5.

Because when would it end? Would I have to agree to ur position that the PS5 Pro is a must by to stop u responding? I have already covered that statement in other posts. So as you like going through my posts on this article you have your answer already.

@kcarnes9051 So, u say you don't need to be able to give an example of a game. Then go on to quote me saying that there are no upcoming games from Sony that WE know about that make a new console a must buy. Is somehow stating that nobody should buy it? Or somehow offensive to you in particular and you need to go on for the people that do want it. So to be against that statement you must know of a game that makes it a must buy. As I wasn't talking about replaying old games you've already played because you can have a few extra frames. Unfortunately it's just fact that WE don't know of any games coming out because Sony haven't shown us anything. People can buy it or don't buy it, I honestly don't care. Only Sony cares. As I said if my 2nd PS5 dies I'll probably replace it with a pro. Depends on what it offers over the current PS5.

Edit: FYI 3rd party games only need to use 1 feature to qualify for the "enhanced for PS5 Pro" label.

@kcarnes9051 Do YOU know of a game? Hit me up with a Sony game coming out next year that warrents a PS5 Pro? I'm not speaking for anyone, I said in my original post that games are needed to make it worth buying. Nobody has been able to say any games because we don't know what is coming out from Sony at all next year. Maybe this will change and Sony will put on an amazing showcase, with must buy games and the improvements to the system will be more than minimal.

That's quite a stretch, if I tried that I'd def have pull something. 😂😂 Live service games don't survive by giving away free things and are not typically single player games.

@StrickenBiged Hopefully they did something like that and didn't pay anything for it. Just more money wasted. Maybe they should pull the episode and just pretend it didn't exist in the first place. 😂

@kcarnes9051 I won't be, as I said there's no games coming that we know of that make it a must buy. I'm not going to replay games just for the slight increases in those areas.

Would Sony have paid them to do an episode on Concord? Considering how new an IP it was? Imagine if it's an amazing episode and nobody watches it because of the game. 😂

@kcarnes9051 I can see them really only being minimal improvements though. It's not going to be a massive leap forward in any 1 of those areas. I'll only replace my PS5 with the PS5 Pro if it breaks and I need to replace it again. If it drops the price of the standard PS5 then could see a lot of people that are still on PS4 making the switch.
