It Won't Be Much Longer Before We See More of PS5 Exclusive Marvel's Wolverine 1

We've known about Marvel's Wolverine since September 2021, when the game was announced with a short teaser trailer.

This September — just over five years later — we'll all be playing the PS5 exclusive action adventure.

In the meantime, things have been fairly quiet, but this will be coming to an end in the near future.

So far, we've had our first proper trailer, which features a mix of gameplay and cinematics, and the announcement of the aforementioned release date.

Developer Insomniac Games has been promising more news and footage of Wolverine is coming, but not until Spring 2026. Well, guess what season we're in now?

Fans have been asking the team for updates pretty relentlessly despite the studio saying when more info is due. It's been having to provide responses like this every so often:

Hopeful fans have also been wondering when pre-orders will open on PS Store, and Insomniac has said it wants to show "more of the game first" before that happens.

Within the next couple of months or so, we'll be seeing Marvel's Wolverine make itself known.

Sony usually does have a State of Play around the middle of the year; in 2025 there was a showing in early June edition, while in 2024 it arrived at the end of May.

We're expecting Wolverine will make a big splash during this year's presentation or, possibly, it'll get its own State of Play, similar to the one dedicated to Ghost of Yotei prior to release.

At any rate, fans won't have a whole lot longer to wait before Insomniac really lets Logan loose.

If only it'd be an interesting project 😞 (or at least have the interesting realistic take on wolverine like in logan but it's just that bright yellow guy and some other weird looking characters unfortunately)

Stay tuned to PushSquare where we'll have wall to wall coverage of how awesome the PS5 Pro version of the game is with juuuuust enough about the game on base PS5 to make the poors really angry. But who cares? They're only 85% of the audience.

Looking forward to this one. Hopefully see a bit more about traversal and what kind of setting the game is in.
Is it open world? Is is linear? Does it have fighting arena style maps? etc etc...
Should be good fun anyhoo...

I think they’ll let Saros release and have its moment before sharing more on Wolverine. I’d assume Insomniac want to get the hype started before GTA 6 marketing kicks off this summer.

In other words, I could see the May state of play being the big Wolverine showcase.

I won't watch a single second of it since it's already Day 1 for me. I am still sad these presentations spoiled the best mission of Uncharted 4 and one of the best missions of Spidey 2. So yeah, would rather see whichever set-piece they will show while playing the game.

Yeah probably may or june since Sony does an event during those month. Probably see cory barlogs new game, kena 2 release date as well.

Spring runs from late March to late June, so I expect to see more at the late May/Early June PlayStation showcase. We will probably see more intergeraltic too, so I think this could be a good one.
