'No One Is Buying This on PS5': PC Port Begging Already Unbearable as Sony Changes Strategy 1

The word on the street is that Sony will no longer port its single player first-party games to the PC, and fans are having a normal one in response to this news as usual.

Earlier this week, Housemarque posted a pretty bad ass Saros gameplay clip, which we thought was so awesome we spotlighted it on our site.

So, the replies on social media must be pretty enthusiastic, right?

Wrong.

Aside from one user complaining about Returnal’s difficulty, they’re pretty much all PC port beggars, pleading with dev Housemarque to bring the game to Steam.

“We need this on PC,” one writes. “I’m never buying a PlayStation and I really want to play this game.”

Gee, it’s almost like there may be a reason why Sony has supposedly made this decision, huh?

Another is more apocalyptic with their opinion: “No one is buying this game until you release it on Xbox and PC. I speak for everyone.”

You heard it here first, folks – zero copies sold!

There’s more: “Cannot wait for Saros, but you boys should push for PC release, honestly. It will be a shame especially [as] it’s not really a mainstream game, so you need as big of an audience as you can get to show off your talents.”

Well, at least this one’s sorta polite, we suppose.

The big irony here is that, if you believe the reporting from the typically rock-solid Jason Schreier, Saros is one of the games – alongside Ghost of Yotei – that was originally pegged for PC, before Sony purportedly pulled the plug.

It’s perhaps worth noting Returnal didn’t exactly explode on PC, so while the game was overall a success for Sony – and an award-winner for Housemarque – it’s unlikely the conversion really moved the needle much at all.

How many consoles will Saros sell? Probably not many, but it does add value to a system that’s been increasingly under fire for its lack of true exclusive software.
