As of today, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold 3.3 million copies in the 33 days since its release, Sandfall Interactive announced. How fitting is that?
In a Bluesky post, the developer spoke of the RPG's breakout success, calling the sales update a "surreal moment" and thanking everyone for playing. A press release confirms the statistic covers game purchases and doesn't include Xbox Game Pass downloads.
The previous sales update from Sandfall Interactive came on 6th May, when it shared that two million copies had been bought. Therefore, the RPG has sold another 1.3 million units in the past three weeks.

Expedition 33 is now widely recognised as one of the biggest and best PS5 titles of the year so far, with our own Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 PS5 review awarding it a 9/10 score. "The intriguing setup expands to provide an engrossing, excellent narrative with lovable and charismatic characters. The exemplary combat goes above and beyond its turn-based traditions with flashy fights and new ways to damage. This is the kind of experience that proves there’s still so much potential and creativity in the bigger-budget video game space — Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is simply sublime."
