Free-to-play multiplayer shooter Splitgate 2 is now playable on PS5 and PS4 in open beta form.
The first-person shooter combines arena-based battles and sci-fi weaponry with portals, allowing players to navigate maps in all kinds of strategic ways to get an advantage.
The open beta features much of what will be included in the final game, with over 25 weapons, numerous maps and game modes, and The Lab, where you can create your own maps and modes to share with the community.
Some great news is that any progress you make during the open beta will carry across to the final game once it launches.

The original Splitgate exploded in popularity during its own open beta back in 2021, and developer 1047 Games has been working on a follow-up ever since.

Loved Splitgate 1, so I’ll download this, even if I can’t stand the new art style
