Amazing month imo and one of the best they've done in a long time.
Surprisingly I only own one game (Neon White) as I usually already own 2 or 3 of the games, so the fact I only own 1 of the 5 is crazy. Also the other 4 are all games I've considered buying before.
Definitely excited to play Killkng Floor and Outlast with friends as we've almost bought those 2 before.
@Fritz167 If by 'without the glasses' you mean without the VR then I'm not sure what point you're trying to make?
Nearly every VR game would be a lot less enjoyable if it was flat screen. Job Simulator is a great VR title but would be beyond boring if it was flatscreen
Been interested in tbis one since it got announced and as someone with a massive backlog (over 270 games) I see the negatives of 'rather short' and 'one and done' as massive positives.
Will probably pick this game up first time it goes on sale
This would be cool if it was the past few games you've played. Seems kind of a bit pointless as it is considering you literally just need to press right once to see most of this info (because if it's your most recently played game then it's extremely likely to be the first one on your homescreen).
I do appreciate the sessions played stat, but would much prefer that to just be visible when hovering over a game/ on my profile.
The game wasn't as terrible (as in it wasn't ACTUALLY the worst game ever made) as people made it out to be, but trying to revive a 4/10 game that sold terribly almost half a year after release with community content is such a laughably bad idea that I'm not quite sure how it even occured
Obviously microtransactions are needed and necessary for a F2P online only game, but £30 for one skin is beyond unreasonable - especially when it looks this bad.
One skin should be like £5, maybe 10 max kf it's extremely high quality.
@Ricky-Spanish Never understand when people say they've never played a game worth £70. I've played several games this year alone well worth £70 and have played many games in my life that I would have very happily paid over £100 for (not that I'd advocate for them to cost that much lol)
@Balaam_ They should just get rid of the online trophies - I adore the multiplayer and some of my best memories of RDR2 is playing with friends every day back in 2018
Only games shown I'm excited for are Code Vein 2, maybe Flight Sim and maybe that viking game with dragons and mechs in.
Wolverine looked better than I expected it to be but I'm still not excited for it. I'm sure it'll be a good game, but I'm just not on the hype train at ALL
Edit: Forgot to mention that I rated it ok. Thought it was about on par with the last one they had.
@SeaDaVie This is the case with about 80% of hate towards video games online nowadays. People that were never interested and didn't want to play getting mad for no reason over something they didn't care about in the first place.
I seem to always think the opposite of most people about showcases like this and I for some reason have very low expectations for some reason so wouldn't be surprised if everyone else ends up loving it.
Thought the last state of play was by far one of the worst they've ever done, yet everyone claimed it was one of the best.
@wildcat_kickz I'm actually the opposite - love the humour of this franchise but can't stand the gameplay of any except BL3.
Got most of the way through BL2 purely bevause of the writing but gave it up because I just wasn't having any fun actually playing it - and I'm a big FPS fan. The 3 games before BL3 just feel insanely janky.
Bevause of this, Tales is by far the best one imo because it just focuses on the good parts (humour and writing) and ditches the ganeplay
@Anke I think it actually makes a lot of sense in a 100 hour RPG - NG+ means you can just replay the story without having to worry about levelling up or unlocking gear. I probably would've replayed AC Valhalla's story if they had added a NG+, but I'm not going through all the effort of unlocking all my gear again.
Much like Cyberpunk I am expecting the game to not be good.
If it ends up being good like Cyberpunk eventually became then great. If not then I haven't wasted years excited for a game that end sup being bad. Might play Hollow Knight once Silksong actually gets a release date
@Icey664 Stellar Blade is very blatantly a souls-like. Not sure why people like you seem to hate that a game they like falls under this genre. I'd say it's probably the best non-Fromsoft Soulslike ever made (at least top 3, up there with Lies of P and Stranger of Paradise).
It has the 'bonfires' (camps) that respawn enemies when you rest at them. That's the main aspect of a soulslike if you ask me. Combat is irrelevant.
@BAMozzy The difference is that even if you've never downloaded a game before on your console, you can install the base unupdated game on disc without needing Internet (with most disc games on PlayStation, like 80 ish % I think)
With digital you'd need access to the internet to install ANY version of the game at all.
It is objectively more preserved on disc because at least some of the game is playable without an internet connection. The vast majority of games aren't much different day 1 than they are a year after launch. Yes there's obvious exceptions like Cyberpunk or games like that get DLC, but most single player games are 99% the same day 1 as they are a year later.
I own the PSVR2 (got it on launch) and a Quest 3 (got in November last year) and I have to say that the PSVR2 is so much better than the Quest 3 in every aspect (comfortability, controllers, visuals, battery life ((because it's wired)), haptics) except 2 - those being portability and game support.
If a game is released on both then it's a no brainer to pick it up on my PSVR2, but the Quest 3 simply has more games. The whole reason I bought it was to play the exlusives (Arkham Shadow and AC Nexus) plus modded Beat Saber.
@ppitchfork I beat it. It's notes dreadful and yes the plat is really easy. 5/10 game, which doesn't sound good but it's leagues better than the mess people are saying it is.
The game certainly isn't as bad as people say it is. It's a solid 5/10 and is absolutely nowhere near unplayable. Some slight blurring here and there and some moderate frame drops but other than that the game ran perfectly fine with no crashes or crazy bugs. Some aspects of the game were actually pretty good tbh.
It's a shame though, because with an extra year of development this game could've been a very solid 7/10 if you ask me. I enjoyed my time with it and absolutely do not understand the absurd level of hate it's received considering at the end of the day it's just a generic, middling video game.
Solid 9/10 for me. Only real issues I have are the absurd difficulty spike for side content in Act 3 and a lot of the level design being a bit bland and awkward.
Story and characters or phenomenal though. Gameplay is by far the best turn based gameplay in existence, but I personally still prefer actual action combat.
Most likely not GOTY for me, what with Nightreign, Death Stranding 2 and S are Eater Remake, but E33 is more than likely gonna be in my top 5 for the year.
@Yusuo I didn't like Shadows either but I'm not sure I'd call it 'more of the same'. I love AC (even the modern games) and found Shadows to be a significantly shallower and less interesting experience than every Valhalla was
@zhoont Normally I'd agree that people are miserable regarding the PS Plus games but this selection I actually agree sucks. Ark is genuinely awful, the Warhammer game I don't know anything about admittedly and Baltro is ok but insanely overrated. Wish I hadn't bought Balatro so I could've just tried it on Plus
Always thought the gameplay sucked in BL1,2 and PS - it was really good in BL3 though.
Tales is still the best BL game though imo because the writing is just amazing. Shame that Telltale didn't make the sequel as the sequel (New Tales) was dreadful

@djlard So the welcome page annoys you but you don't just automatically sign in to your profile when booting up your PS5?
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (PS5) - The Most Absurd Game in Series History
@Romans12 Saying a professional reviewers opinion is 'wrong' despite you having only played 30 minutes of the game is quite funny tbh
Re: As If Playing Elden Ring Isn't Punishing Enough, a Book All About Its Lore Is Coming Soon
Not sure why people in this comments section are acting like From would release a lore book.
The whole point of the story in From games is to fill in the blanks yourself - this is just Vaati's interpretation of what is in the game.
I pre ordered instantly but I'm a suckee for these and own all the 'Souls books' from Tune and Fairweather

@themightyant Yeah I can't believe people don't seem to understand this. Even seen people saying that this being free is a good thing.
I'd much rather pay the £70 for this game than have the progression system be butchered by virtue of being free to play.

Re: Poll: 5 Years Later, What Do You Think of Ghost of Tsushima?
Great game but I feel like people intentionally hyped it up to oppose Last of Us Part 2 for GOTY.
GoT is probably a solid 8 or 9/10 I'd say
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Story Leaves The Last of Us Director 'In Awe'
@KundaliniRising333 I'd say in terms of pure fun Death Stranding 2 and Split Fiction have it beat and Doom The Dark Ages comes close.
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Story Leaves The Last of Us Director 'In Awe'
@CreepingShadow 4 is the best Ubcharted game what are you on about.
Also Part 1 and 2 of Last of Us are both 10/10
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Story Leaves The Last of Us Director 'In Awe'
@Nem An ending being sad doesn't mean it's bad.
I would easily consider Last of Us Part 2's ending one of the best in any piece of media ever.

Re: Splitgate 2 (PS5) - Sleek Shooter Sequel Is Uninspired Fun
@wildcat_kickz I got big Josef Fares vibes from him, but I dont like Fares either (despite adoring A Way Out and Split Fiction).
Can't understand why people rightfully hate this guy being an arrogant jackals but when Fares does the same thing they love it.
Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Has No PS5 Pro Improvements At All
@Rich33 Saying Nightreign is a 1/10 because of poor framrate is beyond absurd to the point that it makes your entire point seem stupid
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest 2025?
I feel like I watched different events to everyone else
SoP was a 7/10
SGF was an 8/10
Neither were amazing but SGF certainly had a lot more interesting reveals (especially RE9 and Lies of P DLC)
Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Has No PS5 Pro Improvements At All
@Rich33 Why is it an issue they gave the game and 8? What if they thought it was a 9 or 10 but gave it a lower score because of the framerate issues.
Personally I'd easily give the game a 8, with framrate issues being one of the 3 big things they could update to bring it up to a 9 for me
Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Has No PS5 Pro Improvements At All
@lazarus11 Well Nightreign isn't even a souls game.....
Re: Resident Evil Requiem Revealed, Out on 27th February 2026

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for June 2025?
