The much maligned MindsEye has, unfortunately, failed to capture the imaginations of gamers this year, but that isn't stopping developer Build a Rocket Boy from trying to keep it alive.
Recently, an update to the game re-introduced ARCADIA, a platform through which you can experience user-generated missions, races, and so on.
This was part of the original vision for MindsEye, that it would be built upon by the community with countless new experiences.
Players on PC can build these new challenges and missions, and share them with the community. Unfortunately, ARCADIA content is unavailable on consoles.

The above trailer gives us some Fortnite vibes, which makes sense β it feels as though this is chasing what Fortnite and Roblox are doing with their community tools.
As with any game leaning into user-generated content, it's going to live or die with the players, and with MindsEye's poor reputation, we're not super confident this will give it the lift it needs.
