Halo PS5 Will Take Full Advantage of the DualSense Controller 1

The upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of Bungie’s legendary Xbox exclusive Halo: Combat Evolved, will take full advantage of the DualSense controller.

The remake’s PS Store page, which is live now and available to add to your wishlist, references full compatibility with the PS5’s controller, including “vibration function and adaptive triggers”.

It’s fun to think about how these features will be used to take Halo’s gameplay to the next level. We can certainly imagine legendary firearms like the Needler feeling incredible with the PS5’s pad if dev Halo Studios puts in the work.

There’s currently no word on whether the game will take advantage of the PS5 Pro, but with the game due out in 2026, we’re sure we’ll hear more about that soon.

Recent titles like The Outer Worlds 2 haven’t taken full advantage of Sony’s supercharged hardware, so we hope the Japanese giant’s sent out some engineers to maximise the potential of Halo: Campaign Evolved here – after all, this game is running in Unreal Engine 5 and should be able to really benefit from the PS5 Pro’s bells and whistles.
