Back in June, Beat Games announced that Beat Saber would be discontinuing support for PSVR2, starting with no new songs. One of PSVR's best sellers and best-regarded titles, Beat Games further announced that multiplayer support would be switched off come 21st January, 2026, a date that has now arrived.

While it's quite disheartening to see one of the most popular titles on the platform lose its support, from the ashes rises a phoenix.

We here at Push Square have never been shy about our love for Kluge Interactive's Synth Riders. It's a rhythm game with an extraordinary music portfolio, as well as a gameplay loop to rival Beat Saber. And that's to say nothing of the sublime music video-esque Experiences.

And on this sad day for PSVR rhythm gaming, we're pleased to exclusively announce that Kluge has no such plans to stop support. And this declaration is being made in, shall we say, spicy fashion.

On 21st January 21st, Synth Riders will receive an update that features the song 'We Are The Champions' by Queen. It'll be available for the usual single-song rate of $1.99. And to twist that knife in an extra little bit, the song will actually be exclusive to PSVR2 for its first week of release.

Not only is the song a great inclusion for the game, but the release timing is also quite the statement. What do you think? Are you excited to pick the song? Are you pleased to hear that Synth Riders has no plans to slow down? Sound off in the comments.
