Capcom really is on a roll right now, isn't it? The Japanese publisher has just gone and dropped a bombshell out of nowhere that the classic PS2 title Onimusha: Warlords is getting an HD remaster for PS4, and will release on 15th January next year.

The re-release will bring with it HD upgrades for characters, environment, and cinematics, the fixed camera angles have been widened to allow for a better view of locations, and the ability to control samurai Samanosuke Akechi with the analogue stick has been added.

"We’re excited to bring Onimusha: Warlords to PS4 after the series’ popularity on PS2, so sharpen those swords and be prepared to set foot in a land of samurai and demons. There’s also a new soundtrack inspired by feudal Japan that enhances the immersion even further."

Onimusha: Warlords is set to release on PS4 on 15th January 2019 for Β£15.99/$19.99. It will be available as a digital title in the US and Europe, but a physical release is exclusive to America.
