Stellar Blade PS5 PC 1

Stellar Blade has now sold over three million copies across both its PS5 and PC versions, developer Shift Up confirmed.

The PC version gave the action title a considerable boost, as the team reports it sold one million units in just three days.

After making a splash on PS5 last year, Sony acted as publisher for the PC port also, and it almost immediately became the firm's biggest single player launch on the platform. SteamDB reports a very healthy player base on PC, and the port actually recorded a new concurrent user record overnight at 192,000 players.

Helldivers 2 is the most popular PC port Sony has had to date, recording a record 458,709 active players at its peak. But, compared to any other single player game on PC from Sony, the Shift Up experience comfortably beats them all. Ghost of Tsushima comes closest, but even then, its record is less than half of Stellar Blade's at 77,000.

However, Shift Up still remains an independent developer. Despite its close work with Sony on Stellar Blade, it's not part of PlayStation Studios and Sony acts as the publisher of the game on PC.
