You probably feel like you’ve seen more than enough at this stage, but if you’re still curious about how Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is shaping up weeks prior to its 26th June release date, there’s a lot more to enjoy in this game premiere, hosted by Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley.
With guest appearances from actors Troy Baker and Shioli Kutsuna, as well as musician WOODKID and a special message from Elle Fanning, this should be the final push you need to prepare for the release later this month.
We should also mention, here's the game’s final poster:

We’re not going to spoil anything in this article because we suspect many of you are on blackouts by this point, but there’s some truly, truly extraordinary gameplay in this livestream. There’s also some good insight from the likes of Baker and Kojima himself, which does make it worth watching if you’re not too concerned about spoilers.

"hosted by Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley."
Of course it is
I was skipping through the showcase trying to dodge any in-game footage and I accidentally hit a frame from one of the gameplay sections and I was really surprised at what looked like a bunch of sparklers? Not sure how to describe it but I don't know what was going on, and I love the teases.
Showcase question: Woodkid used his final thought to thank Hideo for putting music first in the CPU priority in the game when music usually gets last (as he put it). What does that mean? He seemed very excited and thankful but I don't know the implications.
@zhoont The scene you mentioned looks AMAZING.
Best graphics I’ve ever seen 🤩
Holy crap I cannot wait for this… I’m going to be staying up way too late
Graphics looked great but honestly the combat didn't look fun or intense and enemies Ai looked dumb and it did give a good impression, I hope it seemed like that because they were demoing it on easy and not how things are on normal or high difficulty!
Was nice to see live gameplay, the game looks absolutely stunning and by far the best looking game of this generation as of now.
Combat still seems simplistic at its core but that’ll be something putting the difficulty up to hard/very hard will fix for the most part. Also god bless who played the game but they looked hella rusty so maybe that plays a part on the combat and how it was showcased.
Love the use of dynamic music for your actions in game and the visual flair on show all through what we seen, only skimmed through for the most part due to not wanting to be spoilt but this game is definitely going to be a GOTY contender.
I love everything in this game besides the gameplay unfortunately
Although I played the first twice I'm not going day one as the £70 UK price is ridiculous especially a bare bones physical release. Clair Obscur was half that granted not as hyped but even so. They could have at least bunged in a steelbook to make it worthwhile.
Can't wait to play this. The poster looks amazing.
I absolutely fell in love with the original. DS2 looks amazing.
That poster is incredible. I can’t wait for this game. There’s never been a more obvious GotY before release perhaps (at least not in the last generation).
Art Direction looks great and still seems as whacky as previously.
Got the Deluxe version pre-ordered i don't need convincing 😅
I have the Collector's edition preordered and I am sure I will LOVE the game...But is nobody afraid of the game being too samey? I mean the clip with the "boss fight" with soldiers looks EXACTLY the same as the similar quests on the first game, just in a different location. I am worried about this. Hopeful they are just hiding the rest for the sake of being spoiler free
I cannot wait. DS1 took me a couple tries to get into it, but once I was, I was hooked! Looking forward to diving back into this strange world.
Game engine is one of the best imho.
