Based on everything we've seen of it so far, The Outer Worlds 2 looks like a super solid sequel — but its freshly announced price point is bound to scrub away some of the positivity.
As spotted on the game's Steam page, The Outer Worlds 2 is a full-whack $80 / £70 release. This follows on from Microsoft stating that it would be applying the premium price tag to some of its titles later this year.
Both Sony and Nintendo have been put through the wringer for making similar decisions in recent times, and so it'll be interesting to see how The Outer Worlds 2 is received once it's publicly available in October.

Of course, there is a caveat here. Obsidian's RPG is available day one through Game Pass — and so many will simply see this move as Microsoft continuing to push the subscription service as hard as it possible can.
