DON’T NOD is making a cinematic sci-fi game named Aphelion in collaboration with the European Space Agency.

Due out in 2026 on the PS5, the game will see you assume the role of an astronaut named Ariane, who “must brave rugged landscapes and shifting realities to rescue her wounded partner, Thomas”.

According to the press release, the title will blend “exploration, traversal, and tense stealth gameplay”.

“Aphelion is a cinematic third-person action-adventure set on the planet Persephone, an uncharted, frozen world,” the blurb reads.

“Stranded and isolated, you must survive the truly unknown, find each other, and complete the mission.
