I noticed a few games last night didn’t have Xbox support. Don’t mean anything by that just an observation.

After once being a trophy whore, I’ve managed to edit myself to no longer being bothered. Gaming has been less stressful since!

How did this survive but E3 didn’t? Those shows had better announcements than this.

I know it’s cool to rip into analysts, especially Pachter but I have to say on this occasion I agree with most of his comments.

Always said bungie was a rip off and their management do seem to be throwing s*** at the wall hoping some of it will stick.

They had a solid team before Jim and Herman came along. There was a regular release of SP games that their business was built on (and was successful) but now barely a trickle thanks to their obsession with live service. Bungie are a disaster, concord was a disaster and fairgames looks to be the next disaster.

They’re all over the place, non-communicative and what appears to me at least, a shadow of their former selves in terms of management.

Sony have basically just taken their studios down the casino with their live service push.

I miss the days of their strong release schedules. I think Herman needs further demoting.

I’ll likely be in the battlefield camp as opposed to the Call of Duty: Fortnite camp.

Why am I not as buzzed for this as I should be?

It’s refreshing to get a serious shooter for a change after Fortnite’s turned cod and every other shooter into trashy kids games.

I have nothing against cod but I’d love to see battlefield take its crown.

Even physical games saw an increase year on year wahooo!

Well I for one am interested in battlefield and not in cod. Hope it ends up as good as it looks!

@Kiefer-Sutherland I agree. I’m happy to pay £40 for a 10-15 hour game. My lack of gaming time means I appreciate shorter and less bloated games these days.

I miss the days when House, Tretton, Shui, Layden and co actually communicated with their fan base. Damn even Jim Ryan used to be vocal sometimes.

If I get this it’ll be on ps5 but I have to say the game key cards aren’t quite as bad as people are making out I reckon.

Yeah I’d rather have the game on a cart obviously but at least they allow you to re-sell which digital or code in a box doesn’t.

From what I can tell and have heard it looks like this is going to ship in a solid state which will be nice as it’s increasingly rare these days!

@11001100110zero yeah thanks that sounds about the size I’d want if and when I start looking. So glad the form factor has improved and we don’t have to have a massive towers like we used to!

Which is ironic as if they start releasing their exclusives elsewhere I can see a lot more people convert to PC, me probably included.

I hope they know what they’re doing but I don’t have confidence in the current management.

I don’t think I’ve ever been less excited for a new PlayStation as this.

With the way MS and Sony seem to be diluting the console space I could be one of those PC converts next gen seeing as most of their games will be on PC.

Plus PC’s smaller housing’s these days mean I can probably find room for it in the lounge on the big TV and maybe get a rog or steam deck for handheld.

I guess it will mostly depend if Sony fully commit to becoming a publisher across all storefronts like MS seem to be doing but it does seem MS/Sony are happy to diminish the console market in the hope of selling more everywhere else.

@nessisonett yep everything’s dressed up as “protect the children” or “national security” when in effect they just want control and restricted freedoms. Problem is most people don’t believe it or worse don’t give a s***.
