Microsoft has officially announced that the Halo franchise is making the jump to PS5 in the form of a remake of the first game, titled Halo: Campaign Evolved. You can already wishlist the game on the PS Store, with the remake coming out in 2026.
This is a "faithful yet modernized remake" of the original's single player campaign. There will be no multiplayer included.
The campaign has been "rebuilt with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and refined controls". In addition to the returning campaign, there'll be three entirely new prequel missions set before the events of the main game that follow Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson.
