Re: 'Some of the Most Cinematic Experiences I've Ever Had': Guillermo del Toro Heaps Praise on God of War

It was actually the cinematography in Ragnarok that put me off it. Felt like they were trying hard to make it film-like and the gameplay was interrupted too many times. Especially with the amount of pointless “squeezing through tight spaces” type situations.

This might have been good for the actor but wasn’t so much for me as a gamer and end user. Not everyone has to be naughty dog and I wonder if there’s internal competition within Sony studios that think they have to make things even more cinematic when to me I just want to play the game, not watch it.

@Steeleye25 yeah square did a good job with the remakes in my opinion. I’m sure you’ll love remake too plus it’ll fill in a bit of the story for your rebirth play through.

I’d recommend getting the interlude version as it has a few more bells and whistles, especially with the yuffie dlc.

Re: Talking Point: Does PS5 Have a Sequel Problem?

The sequels are good or sometimes better than the original’s but for some reason I’ve found myself more bored playing them. I think it’s more to do with the open world design though rather than a slight on the game itself.

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?

Dodoo

In terms of first party it’s been underwhelming for me. Third party have filled in the gaps though. Sony seem to have dropped the ball in terms of SP releases while chasing the live service dream.

In terms of hardware I do love my pro. It’s a great bit of kit but due to the seriously long cross gen feel even now we’ve not seen the best of its capabilities.

Re: Here's Why Sony Is Making a Japan-Specific PS5 Console

Dodoo

It’s effectively just a price cut for Japan only. That’s the only reason it’s in Japanese language and requires a Japanese psn account so people don’t import them to other markets.

By limiting it like this Sony haven’t miraculously found a way to produce them cheaper which is what the article implies.
