Retro specialist Nightdive Studios has announced it's putting out a native PS5 version of its Turok 2 remaster today. It's the same price as the original version, £15.99 / $19.99, and you can see some gameplay from it in the trailer above.
Having defeated the Campaigner, Turok throws the Chronocepter into a waiting volcano to destroy it. Unfortunately the blast awakens an even deadlier force – The Primagen. Once again a Turok is tasked with restoring peace to the land and stopping the Primagen from merging Earth with the nether world.
In addition, a physical Turok Trilogy Bundle is releasing today, with availability across the official Atari website and other major online retailers. Will you be booting Turok 2 up on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.

I was stuck on the first level for days when I was a kid 🤣 but seriously though this game is so underrated.
I always thought these looked great back in the day but never played them
I didn't mind these games but the whole warping to different points etc just confused me. The combat was good but I found the level layouts to be frustrating.
Free upgrade for those who already have it like with the first game?
Edit: Yes it is! Just checked the store website.
This game looked amazing back on the N64 and the cerebral bore was such a fun weapon. I think I own this version on Switch and Steam but might pickup that physical collection
Played it on N64 back in the day - and that'll do for me.
loved the Turok series on N64 but they look and feel very dated today - even the 'remasters' are what I consider more a 'Port' with different Res/Frame rate caps.
The cerebral bore is still one of the best guns ever in an fps. Why don’t we get brain drilling weapons any more? lol
Will it finally have a compass/waypoint similar to the Quake 2 remaster? Turok 2 would be one of my favorite FPS if it weren’t for the truly abysmal and frustrating level design.
Those old graphics have such an unmistakable charm, don't they?
I mostly remember the badass opening music setting the mood. Enjoyed the first two on N64 back in the day but damn that fog was intense! (Graphical necessity I know).
@Dodoo Doom The Dark Ages came closest with the saw blade thing I guess!
Turok 2 is such a frustrating game. It has some of the most satisfying gunplay of a game from that era and the death animations never get old no matter how many dino heads I pop with the bow.
But dear god, those levels!
Actually, no. The levels themselves might be large and labyrithian but having to hunt down certain things hidden in each of these stages in order to progress can make the experience like pulling teeth.
@Oram77 its a classic
Weapons where brilliant the level design and missions were an absolute nightmare
@Nakatomi_Uk ye I love the game but its needs some sort of pointer tell you where go its a nighmare and nothings been added in the ps5 version as I can see
Were the controls improved or opened up for custom? I recently went back to n64 fps like Goldeneye and my brain doesn’t N64 brain anymore. It was like being right handed and walking on two left hands. Physically could not use any control layout.
@ButterySmooth30FPS nice. That was my question.
@Dlld0Baggins yes. Twin stick now i believe.
No, I am more a Turok 1 type of guy.
Nah, I'm waiting for Turok Origins
Nightdive Studios... Just by seeing their name attached to a project you already know it'll be a top tier quality remake or remaster.
