I just played Mafia: Definitive Edition this year and was so impressed. This looks like a bet tree r version of that with a hint of Uncharted-level cinematics and gameplay.
Picked this up day one from GameStop. Wanted to support the new small studio putting out a perfect length game that is also single player at 50 bucks on launch! Incredible value for a game featuring three of my favorite actors currently (Andy Serkis, Charlie Cox, and Ben Starr). Couldn’t turn this down even after just picking up and loving Oblivion Remastered.
I just beat Silent Hill 2 remake and it is one of my favorite games I’ve played on the PS5. I am undoubtedly hyped for this game! Although I need to get Dead Space remake finished up before this.
MW2 is one of my favorite games of all time and I recently completed the remastered campaign a couple months ago. It really holds up imo. MW3 is not as big of a deal to me, but I’m happy to revisit the campaign again to experience the finale to that iconic trilogy.
Give me MAG! I know it won’t ever happen, but I loved that game and the small dedicated community that played it was pretty awesome. Would love to see FEAR 2 and 3, as well as, the Condemned games. Pupeteer would be nice to have also.
I am so happy about this! I went and bought every copy of Game Informer my GameStop had the day they announced they shut down. Glad to hear an iconic magazine will live again.
I’m bummed I picked this up day one for $70 because I love the series, but the writing is so bad and cringeworthy constantly that I couldn’t get past 5 hours without putting it down for better games. I would’ve happily picked it up and played this through PS Plus though. These services can be great but also discourage full price purchases because of reasons like this.
I finally finished up The Callisto Protocol this week and loved it towards the middle to the end. Final boss was a little weak. I think my plan is to plug away at some Yakuza 7 and Like A Dragon: Ishin! if I can find a chance. At night I’ll be probably lean towards Silent Hill 2 on the Portal. Feels nostalgic playing SH on a handheld. Reminds me of the PSP days.
I preordered this months ago while playing through Valhalla. I have high expectations for this game and I think it’ll be better than most expect it to be. I hope it sells well. I’m not sick of the franchise yet, and there’s so much more they can do with it.
I didn’t vote in the poll. My answer would have been “ No, I was already planning on playing single player offline games anyways” Mafia: Definitive Edition is an amazing experience and game. Highly recommend.
I had a new GameStop open up near my work a year ago and I have been visiting it weekly to see what new used games they get. I love it. The workers are nice but definitely bored. Sometimes I find some gems for an amazing price. I also just love the nostalgia of browsing physical games. I’ll buy physical till I can’t anymore. GameStop is my go to retailer for games.
Excited for this but need to finish a few games first! About to wrap up Yakuza 5! What an epic game that is. Shinada is one of my new favorite characters in the series.
I love the Marvel universe so I’m happy this game is doing well, but it’s definitely not my style of game. I hope other teams are taking notes when it comes to style and art direction because this game is crushing it.
Happy New Year Push Square staff! Thanks for the daily entertainment. My wife is sick of me reading this site daily, but I’ll never stop! Here’s to another great one!
I beat 6 games last year. I beat 32 games and DLC this year with a large amount of that time spent on the Portal. It’s changed my gaming habits significantly.
A bit of Astro Bot with the kids. Silent Hill 2 and Yakuza 5 for my story driven games. I’m also playing the MW3 and BO6 campaigns currently for when I need a lazy game.
This is a bummer for me as this game brought me back to the joy of early CoD multiplayer which kick started my passion for gaming in general as I was a casual gamer before. Feel like this one deserved at least a small community and team to keep it going. MAG is another gem of a game that was deeply loved by some but not enough apparently. I’m happy I’m getting a refund though for the starter pack. That is decent of them to do. And I’ve been playing this game regularly since launch and it keeps getting better.
I keep going into the settings and checking for updated graphics options and I’ve been disappointed by the small number of games that have actually been updated.
Dying Light 2 is underrated. Excited to try it out on the Pro in online co-op. If you liked Mirrors Edge at all this game gives that same feel but is more exciting imo due to the threat of the zombies.
This will be on while I play through Yakuza 5 on my Portal. I was so excited for this show because I recently got into Yakuza this year and have already played through Yakuza Zero all the up to Yakuza 5 which I’m working on. Also played Judgement this year. I had a bad feeling about this show after hearing the actor playing Kiryu never played the game. Whoever was involved with this should be replaced imo and RGG should be involved throughout the entire process. We need redemption. Think of Haruka.
I have been playing XDefiant regularly since launch. Being a huge CoD fan back in the PS3/4 era I love hopping into a couple matches at the end of my gaming session. I’m only like level 36 I think but playing a round or two most days has been a blast. The UI is so much cleaner and neater than CoD’s heinous UI. It’s a stark contrast. It’s also very light on pushing spending especially for being a F2P game. Definitely recommend it for some free, quick, fun.
I’m excited to hop into it in a few months. The only Silent Hill game I’ve beaten is P.T. which probably doesn’t count. I’m currently working through The Evil Within 2 and Resident Evil 4 Remake so I’ll be excited for this when I’m ready for another horror game.
I picked one up for my PS5 Pro as I always buy games physically when available. I have even been picking up physical editions of games I already own digitally just in case I lose access one day. For example, Like A Dragon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name was only released digitally is the US so I went and bought a physical Japanese copy from Play Asia. Call me crazy, but I like to revisit my old games when some time has passed.
Great lineup! Didn’t feel the need to pay for Dead Space again after enjoying the original, but this is a great excuse to play it again without any pressure of finishing it.
@LikelySatan I agree Black Flag is one of my least favorite AC games. I’d recommend giving Syndicate a shot as it’s definitely the most underrated and Valhalla is an epic Viking tale that happens to have assassins creed attached to it, you’ll enjoy it more if you just treat it like a big RPG. When I started doing that I really got into it.
