Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 599

Wow, I still remember the very first WAYP 10 years ago! Crazy how time flies. I love this website and visit it multiple times a day. It’s great for people who don’t use social media imo. Thanks for the memories and consistency, Push Square staff! As for what I’m playing I’ll be out of town this weekend. I finished up my replay of Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the plane last night. Not sure what I will play on the way back though. Probably going to play some games I just recently picked up: Doom (2016) on Switch and/or Sword Art Online: Lost Song on Vita.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Mafia: The Old Country?

I’m only halfway through the game and I’d give it a solid 7 at this point. So many positives to this game that are slightly overshadowed by the repetitive gameplay structure and layout. I don’t play Mafia games for the stealth. I think the game has leaned too heavily into that aspect and the realistically janky guns don’t help the game much either.

I’m currently playing through Robocop and about 5 hours in. I am loving it so far and way more impressed with it than I thought I’d be. I feel like the reviews didn’t do this game justice. However, I also have Terminator: Resistance in my backlog and would like to complete that before taking on this DLC. I will likely pick it up in a year or two when it’s discounted as I’ve currently got so much to play. We’ll see how it compares to the base game.

I’m on vacation and the Portal is t working well on this shoddy lake house WiFi so I’ll be digging into Bayonetta 3 on the Switch. It’s surprising how much this game reminds me of Final Fantasy 16. Some of the boss fights are reminiscent of Eikon fights and I’m really happy to be finally playing this game.

Re: Best inFAMOUS Games

I’ve played them all and InFamous: Second Son is by far my favorite. I’m probably bias though being from Seattle. The game blew me away when it released though and I platinumed it as soon as I could.

The game captures Seattle and the surrounding area at the beginning better than any other game I’ve played. Heavy Rain is a close second.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for March 2025 Include Some Massive Names

Doctor_BK

I’m bummed I picked this up day one for $70 because I love the series, but the writing is so bad and cringeworthy constantly that I couldn’t get past 5 hours without putting it down for better games. I would’ve happily picked it up and played this through PS Plus though. These services can be great but also discourage full price purchases because of reasons like this.

I finally finished up The Callisto Protocol this week and loved it towards the middle to the end. Final boss was a little weak. I think my plan is to plug away at some Yakuza 7 and Like A Dragon: Ishin! if I can find a chance. At night I’ll be probably lean towards Silent Hill 2 on the Portal. Feels nostalgic playing SH on a handheld. Reminds me of the PSP days.
