@LikelySatan I pre ordered it for this reason. Was planning on playing anyway but I like this series and hope it continues for many years. It’s got so much potential still.
That’s exciting! Co-op added to ANY game is always welcome, but AC sounds extra fun. It also kinda makes sense with the release date near Valentine’s Day
I can’t wait for this. As someone against preordering games, I’m going to pre order this game asap. RGG is trustworthy and this entry looks like a big step up gameplay wise for the action focused games. I just need to get through the series now so I’m caught up by the time this game comes out! Going to finish up Yakuza 4 this weekend.
This was my least favorite Dragon Age game. I love Origins and really liked 2, I thought they were both great for different reasons. I liked Inquisition a lot, but not as much as 2. I definitely thinks it’s the weakest game, but it’s the only playable DA game on modern consoles so it gets the benefit of being playable and great-looking, graphically.
I’ve been itching to get back to defending democracy! This was the push I needed to get in the hellpod again. Although I did just pick up Astro Bot so we’ll see.
@nessisonett don’t forget cost of raw materials going up, labor going up, shipping going up, demand going up. It’s not just inflation that’s rising, since COVID everything costs more. The more I reflect on the price, the more I realize it makes sense. However, the actual noticeable difference to the naked eye seems like the upgrade isn’t worth it, in my opinion.
I have been playing through this for the first time on my Vita after picking it up a few months ago. Definitely wasn’t expecting this to happen but I think I’ll skip the ps5 version for now. I like the game but find it a little repetitive. The combat takes some getting used to as well.
Checking out the Reynatis demo and the New World beta. A little Wrath of the Druids, think I’m almost at the end of it. Maybe some Yakuza 4 and Avatar co-op. Should be a good one.
They are way overestimating those numbers. They forget millions of people are still playing their PS4 Pros and don’t even plan on upgrading to a base PS5 until COD and FIFA make them do it.
I was waiting until today to pick this up and now Amazon is sold out and my GameStop isn’t getting more copies until next week. I only buy physical games when available so now I’m stuck waiting to play this. I didn’t expect it to be this big. Congrats to the team!
Jade has a great track record, but the game is more than just its’ leader. I’m not going to worry about it until we’ve seen actual gameplay. The pressure to succeed probably feels much higher now though since Concord’s failure.
As a big Dragon Age fan, I don’t see this game toppling Rebirth this year. I will continue to hope for a return to Dragon Age: Origins style or at least a faithful remake. I’ll definitely be playing this though as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all three DA games so far.
I just don’t see this competing against Destiny 2, Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals, Valorant, XDefiant, and Warzone. High-budget, free to play, half decent games with huge fan bases already. Concord was up against some Goliaths and PlayStation didn’t realize they had.a David on their side with no spirit or soul.
@VaultGuy415 I couldn’t get past the ten hour mark. Just too boring. I loved the first game though, thought it was paced perfectly. TLoU Part 2 felt like an Oscar nominated movie that no one actually liked.
@freddquadros I’m also currently playing Yakuza 4 as well, but still on the first chapter.
In between sessions of that I’ll be playing FFVII Rebirth, just started chapter 12 so I’ll hopefully finish that up next week. Also, dipping into my old playthrough of AC: Valhalla I never finished but have about 50 hours logged. Hoping to finish that before September hits. Trying to squeeze in some arcade shooting every few days as well with XDefiant and MWIII: Modern Warfare 3 (2023)
I still have some Game Informer magazines with covers like Halo 3, Mass Effect 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and the 20th anniversary of PlayStation cover. I loved reading them as a kid. I think I’m going to go to GameStop today and buy whatever magazines they’ve got left.
Been playing Final Fantasy: Rebirth after finishing up Yakuza 3 Remastered and Resistance: Retribution (PS5) recently. I’ve also been dipping into Yakuza 4 Remastered, XDefiant, and MW3 multiplayer.
The gorilla animality where he breaks the jaw open is an ode to Peter Jackson’s King Kong where he does that to the T-Rex, and they show the T-Rex skeleton animality right after! Haha. Netherrealm excels at making trailers.
I’m not expecting a performance from the actor playing Kiryu to be as good as the real thing but I hope he resembles him just a little in his personality. Other than that, I think the show looks great.
Movement looks floaty like Destiny 2’s multiplayer but with less space magic. I think this misses the mark in terms of flashy-looking gameplay. These snippets of gameplay make me want to play the game less because it just looks so slow and kinda boring. The character designs just feel like they are trying too hard to appeal to a specific demographic and that demographic is not me. This is coming from a big GotG and Marvel fan.
@Scottyy I’ve been playing through the Yakuza games this year. Started with Kiwami and have played through Zero, 1, 2, 3 and Judgement. The only games that are longer than 20 hours of those are Zero and Judgement. The Yakuza games are actually short if you mainline them.
I’m excited for this game despite not watching much at all and keeping my head down about it. I’m hopeful it’s a decent 8/10 open world Star Wars game with some pleasant surprises mixed in. If it’s evenclose to the quality of the Jedi Survivor games then we’ll be fine.
Just finished up Cyberpunk and Phantom Liberty after starting that game about 2 and a half years ago. Glad I played it but happy to have it crossed off my backlog. I’ve entered the final chapter in Jedi Survivor today so I’ll be finishing that up this weekend. Next week I’ll be focusing on making some progress in Yakuza 3 and recently picked up MW3 (2023) so I could play the OG MW2 maps again. Nostalgia got me on this one. I really prefer the gunplay in CoD over XDefiant but I prefer the movement and color palette of XDefiant. Guess I’ll be playing both for awhile for my FPS fix.
My prediction is they are going to try a souls like gameplay style next but I don’t want them to. I hope they go back to the brawler style gameplay with some refinements.
Picked up The Ori Collection on Swith along with Black Ops: Declassified and FFX on Vita. So I’ll be dipping into those. I need to get some rounds of XDefiant in as well as dabble a little in The First Descendant and play as Geralt of Rivia. Also, I’ll likely plow through the final few missions in Jedi Survivor. Going to be a busy weekend!
Had the deluxe edition of the original on PS3 but only put about 4 hours into it. The trailer makes me want to revisit this with the physical copy in November.

@RubyCarbuncle if it looked as good as the ps5 pro I might
Re: Vince Zampella Defends PS5 Pro Price, Says 'It's Actually Not That Bad'
@Sequel lol same. $700 ain’t that bad when the base ps3 was $600 almost 20 years ago
Re: Vince Zampella Defends PS5 Pro Price, Says 'It's Actually Not That Bad'
He’s right though. $700 pc wouldn’t quite do what this machine can
