Despite being largely overlooked when it launched back in February of last year, Granblue Fantasy: Relink has gone on to be a decent seller for Cygames.
You may remember that the action RPG released at a particularly busy time, sandwiched between titles like Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Tekken 8. Still, it managed to hit 1 million sales over its first two weeks or so, which at the time, seemed like a win.
Anyway, Relink's now doubled that total, surpassing 2 million copies roughly 16 months later. Again, that feels like a solid enough return — although it's worth noting that the game was in development for a long time.
We think Relink's more than worthy of such success, as it happens. It's a really good party-based action title, with fun characters and a surprisingly impressive story campaign. Cygames has dropped several big updates since launch, too, adding new heroes and tweaking various gameplay elements for the better.
