@StitchJones Post release updates have been a thing since consoles allowed patches. Try playing vanilla Skyrim on 360 its a freaking near unplayable mess. Whether its graphics modes, new gameplay modes, new features, bug fixes and such all of this has been a thing since well the 360 dropped so yeah not 15 years but 20 years.

Look we got a locked 60 in RT Pro at launch that's all that matters. You were never begging for more at launch so stop acting like they screwed you over as you were perfectly content with what we had.

@StitchJones What i'm saying is they port you get people moaning its not a remake and if they remake you get people moaning its not a port.

Yeah i'm shocked DF missed the obvious reasons why this exists. A big one is RDR is locked to 30fps on Switch and Xbox with Xbox only having access to the 360 version and two i have a strong feeling R* want to have native current gen versions of RDR, RDR2 and GTA IV out there and not PS4/X1 and 360 versions being the current versions. Anyway RDR is free for anyone who owns the PS4, Switch and 360 versions. The fact people are moaning over this shows how entitled and whiny gamers nowadays.

@StitchJones Welcome to modern gaming its been like this for 15+ years now and even more if you PC game.

Maybe VRR and Balanced mode weren't ready for launch hence why they came in the NG+ patch. Before you say then why not delay well its really not that simple when you're releasing in the holiday season. Also i doubt many players would be happy to wait an extra month and a bit to play the game just so SP can cater to the minority that have a 120hz screen.

@StitchJones If they remake the game people will just whine about constant remakes and that a port would be enough.

Also what do you want GTA VI or a remake of RDR? Its one or the other and when GTA VI is done i expect R* will be moving on to the big open world game of next gen.

@Neonix There was nothing wrong with Yotei at launch and most players don't even have a 120hz screen so this part of the update doesn't give 60hz players anything. RT Pro is a locked 60fps on Pro and Performance Mode on base PS5 is a locked 60 so stop whining.

@StitchJones This has been standard for Sony 1st party games all gen. If you want the best version of their games its best waiting a few months.

@Nepp67 Its always been smoke and mirrors with TT games, choices never actually mattered and the stories were always pretty linear in the end despite the pretence. I always laughed when you had to choose which character to save in The Walking Dead as the 'saved' the character would always end up dying later anyway.

It works for Dispatch because we weren't waiting endless weeks for one episode.

The fact Death Stranding 2 is a 10 but E33 isn't makes the list invalid 😅

Jokes aside that's a solid list of 10's.

@Shigurui I had a quick read of that link and they seem to be guessing more then anything.

I'm not trying to say its not done poorly but i would rather go by facts then sites guessing numbers. All we know is the game seems to have done enough to make Ubi happy. If its sold poorly legally they can't go and say its meeting expectations as that would cause a world of trouble with share holders.

@Shigurui Do you know its total sales? I ask because Ubi has never revealed that info. Right now we don't know how well its actually done but Ubi seem happy regardless with its performance.

I play games to have fun or experience a good story i don't play them to feel superior to other people because well that's kinda sad.

The updates have been pretty solid so fine i guess. The main story is mostly tied up now anyway.

@SuntannedDuck2 Sounds like you need to play more games. Once you move out of the AAA space you will find AA and Indie games are booming.

@Kienda Its an Isu artefact that holds great power. AC2 is also where you can discover a hidden video that show Adam & Eve escaping the Isu. Its why i laugh and mock those that cling on to "historical accuracy" with the series as its never once been that.

The thing is all of these sequels except Yotei are 2nd parts of a larger story. Like yeah of course GoW18, Spider-Man and Horizon got sequels as their stories weren't finished and not only that people wanted sequels. The tease of Venom got people hyped for SM2, the tease of Kratos vs Thor got people hyped for Ragnarok. People wanted and expected these sequels so don't cry when you get them.

Tell me how much did the game cost? You seem to know as you seem to know how much it needs to sell for Ubi to be happy. Ubi of course have never revealed these numbers so please reveal your sources as you know more then anyone else here.

God the internets obsessive need to want this game to fail is just sad and pathetic at this point. Ubi have only expressed positivity with its performance so we have to take what they say as fact as Ubi are the only ones who know the total sales, know the budget and know how much the game needs to be a success. Tech4gamer the main source of the game "selling bad" is guessing and that is a AI ran garbage clickbait trash site. Notice how none of the bigger named sites aren't reporting this stuff? Its because they know better and have better sources.

@Kienda Just checked the review count for Mirage on the PS store its 33K so around the same as Shadows and Mirage has sold around 10M right? I doubt Shadows has hit those numbers yet but going by your logic it must be doing ok.

@Kienda Steam playercount means nothing when its a console heavy series.

Valhalla will have more reviews because guess what its one of if not the beat selling entry in the series. Why is that? It launched during covid where game sales were inflated, it was a console launch title and it launched at a time where the Viking craze was at its peak. Valhalla overperformed it didn't perform like a typical AC entry. Its stupid to compare.

If Shadows underperformed we would know by now. Ubi were quick to throw Outlaws and Prince of Persia under the bus last year.

Performed in line with expectations says Ubi. I will take their word over random sites guessing things. Fact is no one but Ubi know how well its sold and they seem happy with it.

@Noone2025 Yeah instead of buying characters back then you were forced to buy whole new versions of the same game to get new characters.

Tekken 3 has what less then 20 characters? T8 has 32 at base level and you aren't expected to buy a £60 Turbo Tekken 8 to get extra characters.

@dBackLash Not really. T3 still plays well but T8 plays far better. T3 is also pretty insanely unbalanced.

@Shaw_Brothers The recent MK Legacy Kollection shows how the "good old days" weren't really that good. You want Scorpion in MK3 well tough you have to buy UMK3, you want a complete MK3 roster well tough you have to buy MK Trilogy. Even MK4 suffered from incompleteness with it having multiple versions.

Also play Tekken 3 and then play Tekken 8 and notice how big T8 is compared to T3. Even without the DLC and post launch content it still dwarfs most fighters from the "good old days". You people forget how little content fighters actually had back then and the ones that did have content were an exception not the rule.

@Ambassador_Kong All we know officially is the game sold 5M+ copies and that its performed within what Ubi expected. We don't know the grand total of sales at all.

I actually ended up buying it thanks to a review i saw and you know what i ended up really enjoying it despite its many many faults.

Funny considering Metaphor was just Persona but with less options and worse pacing.

Also AC has been doing tie-in's since Brotherhood thst had a Raiden from MGS skin. Origins even had a full on Final Fantasy 15 crossover.

Quite excited for the NG+ run as too much of the fun toys are unlocked too far into the game, being able to play with them from the start will completely change things.

I saw this coming as it was leaked ages ago.

Shadows drop are great when your games are broken and have many issues and you don't want reviewers and streamers highlighting that prior to release like with the Oblivion remake.

I will take Jason's word over anyone else. Never expected next year anyway.

@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah it should be like the "good ole days" where if the game was broken you were expected to buy a later print of the game that might have a fix.

Dude games are more complicated then ever now, its actually not that simple to just release a "finished" version on release. Its kinda funny actually because the original Stalker that released during the "good ole days" was also pretty broken and needed a lot of fixing. Ever hear the term "Euro Jank"? Yeah that's whats Stalker ultimately is and there's a reason why that term exists.

Yeah licencing, legal issues and publishers consent all play a role. I've wondered why the 3D Mortal Kombat games aren't on Plus but it could be WB don't want them on Plus.

Nice to Jennifer English and Ben Starr will their much deserved awards. Also nice to see Blue Prince win best indie as its fantastic.

@SeaDaVie UK sales mean jack as they don't account for digital. I would love for BF6 to beat COD but BO7 will most likely be the best selling game of 2025 like almost always.
