@lazarus11 Its less about fighting moves and more about basic things like Square being used for both jump and picking up things or the fact you can't jump while holding X while running. A few changes would make a world of difference.
@MrPeanutbutterz I agree the game isn't great but its far from rubbish and "slop". Like seriously just because you don't personally like something doesn't mean its "slop". Its usage like this as to why the word has lost all meaning and why people eyeroll at those who still use it.
@IOI Its also amazing people were expecting the 2nd coming of gaming from the Devs known for making a very janky MMO in Black Desert Online and this was also their first ever SP game.
@StylesT TW3 was brilliant day 1? I hope this is sarcism because TW3 wasn't far off from CP77 levels with poor performance, game breaking bugs, game ending bugs, janky movement that needed a massive fix in a form of a new movement option, downgraded graphics from pre-release footage and more. TW3 was very lucky its an excellent game and a first of its kind on console as it was a complete mess.
@IOI Its interesting how story is now suddenly a big deal for games like this while games like Elden Ring get a free pass or dare i say the recent Zelda games (the stories are fine enough but no one is playing BotW/TotK for the story). Its just goal post moving
@MrPeanutbutterz You never would have survived with Morrowind or Oblivion back in the day. Shock horror a massive open world game with a 1000 different systems has some issues.
Honestly bug fixes, performance improvements and QoL features is all it really needs. This doesn't need some fabled Cyberpunk/NMS redemption or anything.
@Northern_munkey Hope you enjoy it. It looks amazing on Pro especially with the PSSR 2.0 toggle, just make sure you enable PSSR in the ACS menu as i'm not 100% if its on by default. Also last bit of advice make sure the PSSR 2.0 toggle is enabled on the PS5 video settings as its off by default, there's no reason to ever switch it off.
I would say its more like Kingdom Come 1 where its a slog early on and takes a good while before it sets you free and gives you some decent skills to play with.
I think end of the day this game will be marmite in that you will either hate it or love with not much middle ground. I also think its a game you really need to play to see if you will like it or not as well.
I will say the more i play the more i'm enjoying it more. Its a slow burn maybe too slow but it does pick up and opens up a lot more after the slow first 10 hours or so. Up to you if you want to commit to that though.
@Logonogo Its pretty janky and rough and the controls are pretty bad but yeah i'm really enjoying it. Can tell its made from a Korean MMO dev though as it does play like one just minus the grind. I think its why i'm ok with how it is because i've played a few of them and don't mind them. Insane scope though and after around 11 hours now it feels like i haven't even scratched the surface. I feel if they can add control remapping and sort out the technical issues it will be far better.
@get2sammyb Has he switched V-Sync on? That fixes screen tearing. Switching off motion blur, DoF and toning down particle effects also improves the performance. Finally make sure to switch off 120hz on the system menu as its currently bugged and is making the visuals look worse then they are.
@extragood Its funny because no one has said any of that and you're just making up BS so you have an excuse to hate a game you have no interest in playing
Looks pretty fantastic on the Pro with a mostly crystal clear image thanks to PSSR 2.0. There is loads of graphical issues though but overall i'm impressed with the visuals.
@Oram77 When i said "how can you" i was referring to PQ not you. I should have worded it better.
The DLSS 5 article? Yeah i'm not a fan of AI looking trash that destroys art sue me 🙄 Either way what does that have to do with Crimson Desert and this article?
Jake from Gameranx also giving a very positive review. It seems open world fans who want zero handholding and tons of exploration are going to adore this.
@LikelySatan Yeah Luke is saying all the things i wanted to be true about the game. It seems bugs and the game not always being clear about things were his big faults.
@Oram77 I'm not hurt i'm just not a fan of PQ feeding the hate mob with such a clickbait title and tone. How can you act like 82% is bad when you gave that same score (8/10) to RE Requiem? Is 8/10 now a terrible score?
From what i've seen open world fans who want loads to do in it will love this but for those who require a bit more depth and story won't like it as much.
Its a very flawed game but i did have a ton of fun with it on my SS and i very much will get it for my PS5 Pro. The new update sounds really good and it seems like they have put in some work for the Pro.

Re: 'The Jumping, Movement, and Attacks Are Way More Responsive': Crimson Desert PS5 Patches Fix Crashes and Controls
@GalacticHam Yeah the open world is incredible and they give you so many toys for it.
Re: 'The Jumping, Movement, and Attacks Are Way More Responsive': Crimson Desert PS5 Patches Fix Crashes and Controls
Its a really great patch that has fixed a lot of issues and added some nice QoL features.
Also once the game opens up oh boy does it open up. Its insane how big the world is and how much stuff there is to do.
Re: Peni Parker Is the Perfect Fit for PS5, PC Fighter Marvel Tokon
Such a great if too small of a roster.
Re: 'We Should Have Clearly Disclosed Our Use of AI': Crimson Desert Dev 'Sincerely Apologises' for Erroneously Including AI Art in PS5 Game
I wonder how many statements like this we will get throughout the year and so on 😕
Re: Crimson Desert Dev to Patch PS5 RPG's 'Uncomfortable' Controls
@lazarus11 Square is used to pick up things, i've literally just been doing that.

Re: Crimson Desert Dev to Patch PS5 RPG's 'Uncomfortable' Controls
@JoeNobody Its less about learning and more they feel awkward.
Re: Intergalactic PS5 Seemingly Adds The Last of Us Star to Its Cast
@Oram77 My bet we get a new trailer around Sep/Oct when Sony do a SoP.

Re: PS5 Spin-Off God of War: Sons of Sparta Has Been a Big Hit for Sony
@MrPeanutbutterz Yeah anyone who uses the word "slop" unironically in 2026 really need to learn some new words.
Re: PS5 Spin-Off God of War: Sons of Sparta Has Been a Big Hit for Sony
Shadow dropping was a great idea.
Re: Years After Announcement, Netflix's Assassin's Creed TV Series Finally Begins Production
Noomi Rapace and Sean Harris are great gets.

Re: 'We Will Work to Make Improvements Quickly': Crimson Desert Sells 2 Million Copies on Launch Day
@KundaliniRising333 Yeah i adore ER and i love the lore but i only know the lore because of lore videos 😅

@MrPeanutbutterz and you should know jank comes from games of this scope because its near impossible to account for everything.

Re: Hands On: Crimson Desert Runs Well Enough on PS5 Pro, But What About That Intro?
@Oram77 Start saying what again?
I would say its more like Kingdom Come 1 where its a slog early on and takes a good while before it sets you free and gives you some decent skills to play with.
Re: Crimson Desert's Performance Mode 'Not Recommended' on Base PS5, Here's 25 Minutes of Direct Capture Footage
So another win for the PS5 Pro Master Race? Jokes aside its pretty bad they couldn't get 60fps running on base consoles.
Re: Hands On: Crimson Desert Runs Well Enough on PS5 Pro, But What About That Intro?
I think end of the day this game will be marmite in that you will either hate it or love with not much middle ground. I also think its a game you really need to play to see if you will like it or not as well.

Re: Hands On: Crimson Desert Runs Well Enough on PS5 Pro, But What About That Intro?
Crimson Desert is a single player Korean MMO. Once you look at it that way all the strange choices make a lot more sense.
Re: Crimson Desert Looks 'Rough' on Base PS5, Here's 25 Minutes of Direct Capture Footage
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@tangyzesty On the other hand this is made by the Black Desert Online dev so why was anyone expecting 95%+ to begin with?
Re: Spider-Man: Brand New Day Just Did Something Even GTA 6 Couldn't
Not shocked its the most hyped film this year outside of Doomsday, people love Tom's Spidey and Spidey as a whole is the most popular superhero ever.
Trailer was excellent as well.
Re: PickMon Drama Explodes as Pokémon, Palworld Clone Vanishes from Social Media
Picking a fight with Nintendo on purpose sure is a choice.
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@Northern_munkey Way over a 100 now, never had so many 😅
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
Watching DF new video in the Pro version and it really does look stunning. John is playing on Quality mode and the 30fps seems to hold pretty well.
Re: Crimson Desert's Mixed Reviews See Dev's Share Price Drop Almost 30%
@dskatter Plenty of console footage is already out.
Re: Crimson Desert's Mixed Reviews See Dev's Share Price Drop Almost 30%
Giving the pre-order numbers it will see a massive rise pretty soon.
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@Oram77 How am i flip flopping?
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@RoomWithaMoose I'm not taking issue with reviews i'm taking issue with how PQ are presenting them. 82% is a "massive disappointment"? Really?
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@Propaperpusher Base PS5 footage dropped yesterday and it looks solid enough. PQ put up an article on it.
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@Oram77 When i said "how can you" i was referring to PQ not you. I should have worded it better.

Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
Luke Stephens dropped his review and called it amazing. It seems the freedom and secrets are in par with Elder Scrolls and BotW/TotK.
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
@4fold Paul Tassi reviewed it so yeah a "gamer" reviewed it mr gatekeeper.
Re: Round Up: Crimson Desert Reviews Are a Major Disappointment
77% and 82% are bad? You gave RE Requiem an 8/10 what = 80% so i guess that's bad in PQ's eyes. Talk about clickbait and feeding the hate mob.
Re: Site News: Where's Our Crimson Desert PS5 Review?
From what i've seen open world fans who want loads to do in it will love this but for those who require a bit more depth and story won't like it as much.
Re: Site News: Where's Our Crimson Desert PS5 Review?
@dskatter Its because the full game isn't on the servers yet. We have seen both PS5 Pro and base PS5 footage we know its fine on consoles.
