
The lines between consoles are blurring, but it doesn’t sound like Xbox-only gamers will be enjoying Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 any time soon.
While PlayStation has experimented with a splash of third-party publishing recently, most notably with live service Helldivers 2, first-party dev Insomniac has ruled out a port of its web-slinging sequel.
Asked on X (or Twitter) about the game coming to Microsoft’s green machine, the studio put it plainly: “Not likely.” While the original query has since been deleted, you can still see the response below.

Some fans are already pointing out that should Xbox’s next-gen console support Steam, as rumoured, then the game could eventually end up playable on a Microsoft system.
Technically, yes – but we think this is really stretching the definition of things to make a pretty meaningless point.
In the meantime, if you want to play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 right now, it’ll be included with PS Plus Extra from next week.
