Re: Xbox Exclusive RPG Avowed Is Coming to PS5 in February with Major New Features

DennisReynolds

@SMJ Not really. The best version of these exclusives or timed exclusives from Xbox are the ones that hit PS5 a year after release. Hellblade launched on PS5 with 60fps straight out of the gate, Stalker 2 was mostly fixed and had more way content when it hit PS5, a lot of Flight Sims issues were fixed by the time it hit PS5. PS5 players are basically geting a better deal by having to wait.

Re: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes (PS5) - Streamlined But Still Fantastic Sci-Fi Fun

@MrStark No i'm not saying he's on Nolan's level i'm saying they are two directors where people will watch their films on their names alone. What they're making and whose starring in them doesn't matter people will turn up because its a new Nolan film or new James Cameron film. Very few directors have that type of pull. Its why both directors can make whatever they desire at any cost because audiences will turn up no matter. Cameron has said he plans on doing a film dealing with the aftermath of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and wants to focus on the people who survived the initial bombing, pretty dark and harrowing stuff yet it will no doubt make a ton of money.

@MrStark The point is if people didn't care Fire & Ash wouldn't have crossed a billion this past weekend. Clearly the audience is there a massive one.

Also Cameron doesn't care that you think he has no credibility. He makes films to entertain and to fund his real passion exploring the ocean. Like seriously he made Titanic just so he had funding to explore the wreck of the actual Titanic.

@Jammer This is an expansion DLC not a separate game so you have to have the main game to play this and i'm pretty sure they're selling a version that includes just the main game and the From The Ashes DLC. There is a Complete Edition that also includes the original two expansions as well.

Edit. Just checked the store and yeah there's a From The Ashes edition that contains the base and DLC at £35 and there's a complete edition that contains everything at £50.

Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

DennisReynolds

While it contains the best end boss this year and jaw dropping visuals i was a bit letdown with this. It was far too easy and the story honestly wasn't good with far too many under-developed characters and a very predictable twist that is poorly done. I still enjoyed the game a lot and its an easy 8/10 but the first game is far better.

Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Ghost of Yotei

DennisReynolds

@Nepp67 Yeah i do think they do a decent job at hiding the side stuff but ultimately hidden or not its still Ubi style content. Like the first game the only thing that feels different is the mythic story stuff as fair play they were real highlights of the game and shaked up the gameplay formula.

Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Ghost of Yotei

DennisReynolds

@TheArt Yotei's strength's are its combat, visuals, characters and gameplay loop. Its open zones (its not an open world due how much of it is separated by loading screens and skyboxes) are nothing special, its just the typical Ubi style checklist. KC2 is a proper open world and has way more meaningful side content and things to do in its world.

Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Art Direction of 2025

DennisReynolds

Death Stranding 2 has easily the best visuals on console. Yotei is extremely pretty but it didn't evolve that much from GoT and while i adore E33 i think its visuals are kinda rough on console especially if you want 60fps. Its far from bad looking and its character models are excellent but its not the best of the year or even in the top 5. Its funny despite my feeling towards Silksong its art design is fantastic and should be at least a bronze.

Re: Game of the Year: #8 - Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

@Max_the_German Yet Skyrim has sold more, is played more and is also considered one of the best games of all time. Dark Souls being the best of the decade is just an opinion a vaild one but nothing more especially when said decade also has The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Breath of the Wild, Red Dead 2, Nier Automata and so on.
