@RoomWithaMoose R* have never released a brand new game at 60fps on console and giving how CPU heavy GTA VI will be i will be shocked if they can even get a locked 30fps. 60fps is not happening, R* have never targeted performance why would that change now?
Very excited for it but we must remember its up to devs to update existing titles so don't go expecting a magic fix for games with PSSR issues once it drops as the devs will have to do that themselves.
@Northern_munkey Stella Montis might be my favourite map, it looks stunning and is so well design. Despite its rep i haven't had much pvp in it, in fact my last match had me and this random team up to hold off until we could escape, was expecting a backstab but he stayed friendly.
Got it on sale and been really enjoying it even as a solo player. Super tense not knowing if the other players will stab you in the back or leave you be.
@SMJ No i'm saying PS5's first experience with the game will be better then Xbox/PC players first experience. It would be like if Spidey 2 hit Xbox they would be getting a better first experience because all the improvements and added content is there from the start.
I ended up biting and buying the Deluxe version as it was on sale over the Xmas period. Pretty happy its very solo friendly and the playerbase for the most part are pretty chill.
@SMJ Not really. The best version of these exclusives or timed exclusives from Xbox are the ones that hit PS5 a year after release. Hellblade launched on PS5 with 60fps straight out of the gate, Stalker 2 was mostly fixed and had more way content when it hit PS5, a lot of Flight Sims issues were fixed by the time it hit PS5. PS5 players are basically geting a better deal by having to wait.
@MrStark No i'm not saying he's on Nolan's level i'm saying they are two directors where people will watch their films on their names alone. What they're making and whose starring in them doesn't matter people will turn up because its a new Nolan film or new James Cameron film. Very few directors have that type of pull. Its why both directors can make whatever they desire at any cost because audiences will turn up no matter. Cameron has said he plans on doing a film dealing with the aftermath of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and wants to focus on the people who survived the initial bombing, pretty dark and harrowing stuff yet it will no doubt make a ton of money.
@MrStark He makes films that make billions he will be taking seriously enough to be giving whatever he wants to make whatever he wants. He like Nolan are the selling points people will blindly watch their films on their name alone. Cameron has achieved more then nearly any other director in film. Your opinion is irreverent to the actual facts.
@MrStark The point is if people didn't care Fire & Ash wouldn't have crossed a billion this past weekend. Clearly the audience is there a massive one.
Also Cameron doesn't care that you think he has no credibility. He makes films to entertain and to fund his real passion exploring the ocean. Like seriously he made Titanic just so he had funding to explore the wreck of the actual Titanic.
@MrStark They make billions at the box office dude maybe the issue is less the films and more just you. Either way Cameron is laughing in billions and being the only director to have 4 films cross a billion and have 3 of his films being in the top 5 highest grossing films ever.
@Jammer This is an expansion DLC not a separate game so you have to have the main game to play this and i'm pretty sure they're selling a version that includes just the main game and the From The Ashes DLC. There is a Complete Edition that also includes the original two expansions as well.
Edit. Just checked the store and yeah there's a From The Ashes edition that contains the base and DLC at £35 and there's a complete edition that contains everything at £50.
While it contains the best end boss this year and jaw dropping visuals i was a bit letdown with this. It was far too easy and the story honestly wasn't good with far too many under-developed characters and a very predictable twist that is poorly done. I still enjoyed the game a lot and its an easy 8/10 but the first game is far better.
@Nepp67 Yeah i do think they do a decent job at hiding the side stuff but ultimately hidden or not its still Ubi style content. Like the first game the only thing that feels different is the mythic story stuff as fair play they were real highlights of the game and shaked up the gameplay formula.
@TheArt Yotei's strength's are its combat, visuals, characters and gameplay loop. Its open zones (its not an open world due how much of it is separated by loading screens and skyboxes) are nothing special, its just the typical Ubi style checklist. KC2 is a proper open world and has way more meaningful side content and things to do in its world.
@Oram77 I agree KC2 should win this but E33 is JRPG and JRPG's don't typically offer the level of choice and freedom of a western RPG like KC2 or Skyrim.
Death Stranding 2 has easily the best visuals on console. Yotei is extremely pretty but it didn't evolve that much from GoT and while i adore E33 i think its visuals are kinda rough on console especially if you want 60fps. Its far from bad looking and its character models are excellent but its not the best of the year or even in the top 5. Its funny despite my feeling towards Silksong its art design is fantastic and should be at least a bronze.
@Max_the_German Yet Skyrim has sold more, is played more and is also considered one of the best games of all time. Dark Souls being the best of the decade is just an opinion a vaild one but nothing more especially when said decade also has The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Breath of the Wild, Red Dead 2, Nier Automata and so on.

@ATaco and Stellar Blade is a legit great game and It doesn't rely on sex appeal alone.

Giving the Devs this isn't too shocking.

@SMJ and? How many games see a big drop in price in only a year? Isn't Spider-Man 2, GT7 and still full price?

So basically Xbox players are just beta test players at this point.

@Jammer Have no idea as i got Shadows digitally.

Nice to AC Shadows in the top 10.
Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
@PinderSchloss A bunch of people whining online about a popular game is not going to damage the game or studio.
Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
@Octorok_Prime No but its vital you play E26 and E30 beforehand though.
Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
One of my favourite games of the entire gen. Absolute masterpiece.
Re: Game of the Year: Top 10 PS5 Soundtracks of 2025
Yeah E33 is no 1 no contest, one of gamings best scores.
Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

@TheArt KC2 is easily my favourite open world of the entire gen so far. Its 2nd on my GOTY list with only E33 beating it.
Re: PS6 Could Be Delayed Due to RAM Price Chaos
Good drag the gen out i say.
Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Ghost of Yotei
@SleepyNick Yotei's stength's aren't really its open zones.
Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Ghost of Yotei
Its 4th for me as well.
