Day one. The combat looks so much more involved than I expected. I guess I'll stop putting off finishing Infinite Wealth (I know Stranger is a series prequel, I just want a clear RGG backlog) 😮‍💨

It would be great if there was an optional "third-person-fixed" perspective, like you're somebody controlling an RC car. My mind went to using RC cars in Ape Escape 😅

@Questionable_Duck I agree with this take. As a whole the Paul WS films stink, but the first one is still the best of the bunch (especially compared to the awful Welcome to Raccoon City, which he was still Executive Producer on), and a fun cheesy flick that doesn't actually disrespect the RE lore much.

This almost has to feature at Summer Game Fest. The timing is too good, and a good setup for a late 2027 launch window...🥺

I noticed stuff like this back on the PS3, so I'd be surprised if any action is taken on this. They can blame a bug, but I still see there being a finite timer on how long you can access digital content offline before it revokes access. Anti-piracy measures and so on, despite the obvious resolution being custom firmware/piracy when the servers are gone.

I'm very happy to see this so well-received overall. It is a solid release, and I'm excited for the future DLC!

gliding is so much better now! Now my biggest wishlist item is controller remaps!

I agree with the overall sentiment for the most part, though I really don't see these major performance issues on my base PS5. Maybe I'm just too engrossed in what I'm doing to notice the big hiccups or something. It is janky as it is, and it will get better in time. To be real, this game was always going to be divisive, it's either for you or it isn't, so I'm glad I'm on the side that's having fun with it!

@HRdepartment Strive 2.0 might convert me, it looks crazy! I'm glad Guilty Gear is in a good place as a series.

Tekken has been my favorite fighting game series since I played 3 as a kid, and it's rough to see 8 get this treatment. I'm not usually a big Street Fighter fan (the controls/mechanics never felt as natural to me as Tekken), but SF6 has been a fantastic game overall, and greatly outshines the time I spent on Tekken 8. I really hope we see Tekken Tag 3 after this to shake things up and hopefully reinvigorate the Tekken fanbase, because anything short of a complete teardown/rebuild of the mechanics won't bring anyone back to 8 that have been turned away at this point.

@nomither6 Got nothing to do with first party games going multiplatform. Moreso video game fans should jive with video game fans, regardless of where they choose to play. Common interest! 🤝 Especially, as everyone else mentioned, this is a stream of third-party published games that are indeed multiplatform.

I'm very glad the devs are so receptive to feedback and taking action on these matters. There's definitely a few functions I'd love to remap, but I've still been having a blast regardless. So far I've just been doing back-to-back bounty hunts.

I'm playing on base PS5 and having a great time so far. The game definitely needs some QOL patches (especially an option for controller remaps so I don't have to play this like a Rockstar game), but I haven't had major performance or visual issues. Apparently, per some earlier comments, my settings are already set to prevent some of these reported issues.

Recently I've been playing through the first two Gundam Breaker PS3 games with a friend, along with EX Troopers. The Slim is still kicking!
@Mikeg1965 I miss my PS2-capable fat models 😭 Both got YLOD while playing PS2 discs. I even had the thermal paste replaced and the disc drive updated to be more heat efficient on the second one...

I'm so thankful they didn't rely on the RE2 version of "scary" by turning off most of the care center's lights and relying on a wavy flashlight beam. You can have a mostly well-lit building and still build tension! That in itself seems like an indirect nod to the PS1 originals to me, and I love it. Note, there are still dark segments of the game and it's used effectively!

It's still unfortunate that they settled for the most boring port of Tekken 5 (obviously they're against funding PS3 emulation, but the PS2 version is right there...) 😮‍💨

Just completed it last night. Fantastic game, I definitely like it more than both 7 and 8, and will be starting a second playthrough very soon!

The graphics really remind me of the Vita 🤔 The gameplay looks okay? Cool that Disgaea is trying something new at least.

WHAT?! Look I get that the shift in art style/music in Demon's was a step back, and even Colossus's art style missed the mark a little, but they are still rock solid remakes, let alone their work before these. Baffling and tragic. I was excited to see what they'd make/remake next 🥺

I recall a Penny Arcade comic debating the enjoyment of one $40 3DS game versus $40 of phone apps...not a new trend, but always a worrying one.

I'd still take this over Ascension any day.

Old style all the way, with less gameplay interruptions, no slow walking/dialogue segments, and the camera not hanging on Kratos's shoulder. Now I love throwing the axe around as much as the next guy, but when it's full blades of chaos, zoomed out is much more palettable (to me).

I'm much more intimidated by the amount of options available to me at any given time than the combat difficulty 😆 Very excited for this game!

Yeah...ICO's unlockable co-op mode was locked behind completing the story mode too, but nothing about the game marketed it as a multiplayer affair, just a story centered around two main characters. And the unlock was simply a surprise and otherwise completely unnecessary.

My only negative impression of this game (haven't played it yet) aside from the price is that having child Kratos and Deimos fighting all of these mythological creatures and having the support of the gods cheapens Kratos's achievements in the core series, especially the first game.

If only it was a Jhen Mohran...🥺 Would love to see the sand ship return! But if I had to make an educated guess on who those teeth actually belong to...looks like a Tigrex color palette.

Can't wait to see what it is! I doubt Marvelous wants to invest any more into No More Heroes, so if it isn't a sequel to an existing property, another new IP would be wild.

The last thing the Kiwami series needed to do was splinter the already lengthy storyline 😵‍💫 This coupled with the delisting of the Yakuza 3 Remaster...how baffling. Being a RGG fan used to be easy.

Only just now learning that there is no multiplayer. Bummer, as this was going to be a definite purchase for me and a friend this year (as we enjoyed our time playing co-op on the first game), but now I'm happily waiting for a deep sale.

I'm excited! Have it pre-ordered and paid off. Silly that there's no demo planned to release but doesn't matter to me either way at this point.

Worth noting Crisis Core FFVII also used Reunion on its rerelease/remake/remaster/whatever you wanna call it. Not sure if that affected their decision either for part 3.

Not saying I would flip on one of these cheats for Hell House, but you know...I'd certainly consider it. Believe me, I know it's a skill/prep issue, but if I still hate it on my third playthrough, clearly I'm too stubborn 😆

I picked it up for pocket change on a digital deep sale, then was surprised to learn it was completely server-based. So after my online sub lapsed, I uninstalled and didn't look back. It played okay, but outside of feeling kinda like Destiny if you were Iron Man, it didn't stick out to me much. Deserved better, I was hoping they would overhaul it before they announced they'd shelve it instead.

One of my most anticipated releases. Reviews will likely be polarized, they generally are on Suda games, but I'm usually a big fan! No More Heroes and Killer is Dead are especially among my favorite games.

I can't agree to the MH film, but I hold that series a little closer to the chest. I agree the first two RE films are entertaining for goofy action flicks!
