This is hilarious, and now seeing Acquire is involved this became one of my most anticipated titles of the year.

What does Open World even mean in this context? The camera is still facing the ground and the previous games didn't heavily limit where you roamed?

So any hope for transferring content from PS3 to PSP is also likely kiboshed. I suppose alternate methods will have to do..."yargh"

This game is such a gem. I especially loved the combat system involving climbing larger enemies and throwing smaller ones. It still bums me out that Dragon's Dogma Online didn't even get localized before the servers were shut down 😣

No longer subbed to Plus, but when that Vintage library gets a major buff I could be convinced to go for the top tier.

I had a weirdly great time playing this on PC after remapping the controls to be more like Dark Souls. Despite the jank, this is one of the few open world games that truly feels like an adventure as you get to grips with its unique systems.

I was very hyped at the prospects of this game on announcement. It's been so long it fell off my radar, but here's hoping it was all worth it. Square Enix's quality is consistently inconsistent.

@buckp25 You'd need to play the other three technically (including Travis Strikes Again). That being said, the story is whacky anyways, so playing the others will mainly make some references and cameos more appreciated.

Glad to hear news on this! Despite it's flaws I had some fun with the original, so these QOL changes look very welcome.

I hope there's a future for this franchise. The character editor it has is surprisingly in-depth (I've been playing as Lupin III astride a Chocobo) and being able to roam the course is a fun bonus.

If they add PS2 and PSP titles with online support (Resident Evil Outbreak and Monster Hunter for example), I would sub to premium no question.

Any word on if they plan to add a toggle for the dualsense's Home button functionality when pressed vs held? This continues to throw me off to this day.

Man this is a bummer 😕 Doesn't sound like the best experience for $60, but one to keep an eye on for a sale. It probably would have benefitted most for being a linear game with more focused combat mechanics.

Yeah this game will be Slytherin its way onto my shelf on day one.

One of my friends also playing via Steam encounters a bug where most enemies and NPCs are invisible. Sounds like PS5 is on the better side of technical issues lol

Got an 11, with two definite guesses. Works for me.

My only annoyance is the PS4 version keeps reappearing on my dashboard each time I power on the console (but that's not specific to this game, but seemingly all free PS5 upgrades I have for disc games).

Downloaded this and booted over my lunch break - big mistake. It was very difficult to put back down. Excited to see/play more.

I haven't messed around with katanas too often in other Miyazaki games, but having the title "Samurai" is too cool to pass up.

Their incentive to crowd-base the design elements and music was weird enough. I didn't see this one taking off...too bad, I did want to fly a ship as a chimp 😕

This boss made me enjoy PvP more than anything else in Souls. Aside from the Dark Souls arenas anyway.

It almost feels like they did it to beat MS to the punch. Otherwise no short-term benefits.

They really nailed the PS3 one. Heck they nailed them all, but that one was instant nostalgia for me.

I remember when I first saw Cloud in a gaming magazine then took said magazine to class (5th grade) to ask my friends who it was. That was how I ultimately ended up with my copy of FFVII. I'm very interested to see what announcements are in store!

Special mention: revisiting PS1 games on VITA was fantastic with the button remapping capabilities.

I'll always miss Shinobido 2 and Freedom Wars 😟 Neither of them deserve perfect marks but they were easily my favorite VITA games.

@Uncharted2007 That's exactly how I felt about it. And RE8 was a good middle-ground between 7 and previous titles.

Overall it felt less like Resident Evil to me, but that initial playthrough will always stick with me. Primarily because I invited a friend over the day of release and we played straight from start to finish in one sitting.

It wouldn't hurt for Sony to make some announcements to build up hype. I don't think they need to race to acquiring other companies, just remind people of the perks of being a PlayStation owner. I'm currently using my PS5 to play the Yakuza series, but my PS5-hype crashed overall after I played through Astro's Playroom and Demons Souls 😕

This is definitely not a statement I'd expect from Phil at a time like this 😆 He is certainly a character...

This reminds me of Metal Gear Survive, the game that actually played fine but had no business using the "Metal Gear" moniker.

I personally am not affected by this (yes I own a Series S too, but 🤫) as I don't really play Acti+Blizzard. Like others, I'm concerned with the long-term ramifications this will have on the gaming industry overall.

@solocapers This ridiculous lockout is why I'll never play it. And to add salt to the wound I didn't even get to play it when I tried downloading the beta in the first place, as my internet was too crap at the time. Oh well.
