Developer and publisher Mintrocket has peeled back the curtain a little more on its upcoming DLC expansion for its hit debut game, Dave the Diver.

In a new dev diary, the team reveals some new details about In the Jungle, which is due for release in early 2026.

In the video, it's said the DLC contains approximately 10 hours of new stuff to see and do, making it a pretty substantial add-on to the main game.

As the name suggests, it takes us to a new location — the jungle village of Utara. Here, time moves in real-time, and that gives you lots of space to explore the village, gather resources, and get to know the villagers. It all seems very Animal Crossing to us.

You'll need to build relationships with the people of Utara, and as they become friendly with Dave, they'll start to show up at Bancho's Grill, the restaurant in the DLC.

When you're working at Bancho's Grill, you're able to move more freely than the single horizontal plane in the base game. It introduces new mini-games too, as we see in the video.

You'll serve freshwater creatures in the new restaurant, which means regular dives into a massive lake. It contains lots of new species to discover along with new threats like crocodiles and piranhas.

Dave is equipped with a new Jungle Gun, which is able to transform between most of the gun types from the main game, giving you more utility in the water.

It looks like it's gonna be a great extra chapter for Dave the Diver, with a similarly crazy level of diverse gameplay mechanics and fun minigames.

There's no concrete date as yet, but "early 2026" suggests the wait won't be a long one.
