Cyanide Studio has revealed the third instalment in the Styx stealth series, Styx: Blades of Greed, has been delayed out of 2025, and will now release for PS5 on 19th February 2026.
From the perspective of Styx himself, the following was posted to the game's Steam page: "Yeah, yeah, I know, waiting isn’t your favorite thing. Mine either. (Unless I’m waiting in the dark to stab someone, of course). The devs are taking a few extra months to polish everything up, tweak the bits that need tweaking, and make sure my grand return is as glorious (and chaotic) as it deserves to be."

Blades of Greed follows on from Master of Shadows and Shards of Darkness, with a third entry almost nine years after the latter released. Decent enough stealth experiences, this new title "refines the proven formula of the first two games by making freedom and creativity central to the experience. Explore vast vertical environments and master new tools and powers."
It'll now come to PS5 on 19th February 2026. Are you interested? Let us know in the comments below.

I had no idea they ever even made a second one
I picked up the first two on a Steam deep-sale this year, only to find out they are both right up my alley as a fan of 3D stealth games! Tenchu-like movement with Thief-like objectives, all set in a world that almost feels apart of Fable. I'm looking forward to the third game!
Oh nice. I bought the first one ages ago on PS4. Loved it. Character was pretty original in my opinion, really cool design and voice acting.
Never got around to the second one. This will get me to pick it up sooner now. Glad it's doing well enough to get more pumped out.
I loved the first two. Can't wait for this one
I'm actually trying to remember now if I actually played the second one and I don't think I ever did. I've definitely played the first and had a fun time with it even though I'm fairly sure I was terrible at it.
Cool to see. Didn't play the others but I am curious about Of Orcs and Men on PS3/360 that's for sure, more my type of game design/combat then the stealth of Styx, but still cool to see more Styx games coming.
The Styx games are under the radar, great games, hopefully this can step up another level. That release date feels a bit iffy though. feels like that time of the year is always heavily bloated with releases and this is the type of game that could very easily get lost and forgotten amongst the crowd. They would benefit from releasing amongst a slow release window.
