Re: Poll: 5 Years Later, What Do You Think of Ghost of Tsushima?

Broosh

Good game, in my opinion a tad overrated, but that's just me. Sucker Punch games previously have made platforming a lot of fun, which wasn't a thing here. The open world still had a little of that formulaic waypoint Ubisoft fluff. And there being no narrative alterations or punishment for using cheap ninja kills was unfortunate. I would have gone for a no stealth playthrough (with the stealth not being anything special) but the game forces you into the ghost systems anyways. The 1v1 duels were probably the highlight for me.

Re: Dark Souls, Elden Ring Dev May Have Another New Game for 2026

Broosh

FromSoft already confirmed multiplayer-focused entries aren't replacing traditional solo-focused games, yet people are still quick to moan. Yes, they have traditional games in their pipeline, even if these two games aren't your cup of tea 😉 Maybe DS3 can be the new Last of Us, where we get a Remaster then a Remake 🤣

Re: Metal Gear Solid Multiplayer Returns in Delta's New Fox Hunt Mode

Broosh

@Waa-Laa MGS3 always had multiplayer so this is a confusing take? 🤔 If it wasn't for you then, why would you bother with it now anyways?
Edit: Makes sense now, as a trophy hunter the PS2 must not have held any appeal to you at all.

It is sad the original MGO won't be returning, so they definitely have their work cut out for them making Fox Hunt as appealing. Hopefully they learned from the trainwreck of a multiplayer mode in MGSV...

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest 2025?

Broosh

Hooo man if it wasn't for Scott Pilgrim, Stranger Than Heaven, and RE9, I'd say complete waste of time as far as brand new game announcements are concerned. Overall very poor, though I expected as such when Sony had one of, if not THE best, State of Play streams beforehand.

Re: Reaction: There's Never Been a Better Time to Buy a PS5

Broosh

I had buyers remorse when getting a PS5 near-launch after playing through Astro's Playroom and Demon's Souls (both games that I loved, but the new games selection felt dry after that), and while it does have a solid exclusive, these days I mainly keep it around because of my PS4/5 Yakuza/Like a Dragon shelf. If I didn't have that, I likely would have sold it by now, especially with several of the previous exlusives playable on PC now. It will without a doubt be my last PlayStation console.

Re: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Bombed So Hard, Warner Bros' Games Revenue Still Hasn't Recovered

Broosh

I'm surprised Rocksteady is still a studio if I'm being honest 🤔 Seems these days a game company is on the chopping block for much less!
@graymamba For all of its faults, I love the humor, and I think the gameplay is fine (albeit a bit bland at times). And for what it's worth, my wife (a huge DC fan) was never a big fan of third person shooters until she played this, so that's worth something. I also give them props for making the game playable offline, warts and all.

Re: Poll: 5 Years Later, How Do You Feel About Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Broosh

To me, it's akin to the newer Star Wars film trilogy (and to note, I'm a huge FF7 fan and not a very big Star Wars fan). The first entry had some big highs and major lows, but overall filled me with excitement for what the series could do. The second entry ensured that hope is dead and buried. Skipping #3 (but I'll read a synopsis). The fact it was split into a trilogy was easy to stomach, the changes to the plot and pacing were not. Not intending to ruffle chocobo feathers here, it's just my opinion 🤷‍♂️
On a positive note, the OST is beyond amazing in Remake. When I heard the Jenova remix kick in, I got goosebumps!

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts on Potential $80 PS5 Games?

Broosh

At this point I'd almost rather see the game industry crash than continue to opt into these continued price hikes. I already have more than enough games to keep me entertained the remainder of my lifespan, and they are making it ever harder to crave new releases. As others have noted, these days I'll patiently wait for price cuts. My days of pre-ordering are long gone.

Re: Disc Rot Already Afflicts Your Physical Game Collection

Broosh

The amount of denial in this comments section is insane 😆 Disc rot is a real thing, that's why it's been talked about since the 90s (they knew it would eventually be an issue). I've experienced it with a few old CDs and DVDs for sure, but not many. This is to spread awareness, not fear. Just take care of your discs and when possible, dump them to a PC for even longer preservation 😎
