Absolutelly not. Part 2 have a better gameplay and graphics of course. However, the story, passing and side content are way better in part 1. The main story is a crap in part 2, they completely destroyed great characters, Joel, for instance will never be dumb to go to a trap like that. In part 1 he immediately run over a dude that was pretending to be hurt and in need of help. The way that Tommy and Ellie behaved in part 2 are also completely against how they were in part 1. Side stories in part 1 are way better, for instance, the tale about people living in sewers (showed by documents found and the place itself) is much more elaborated, convincing and even heart touching. All characters are better developed in part 1, see Tess, Sam, Henry, Tommy, Marlene and so on. In addition, playing with Abby broke the passing and was disgusting, no one cares for the Abby's gang and petting dogs is not sufficient to connect with Abby. The story could take several different ways in part 2, for instance, nothing was advanced about the Ellie condition and how it could help mankind. I'm not a fanboy and defending so much a game that have mixed reception by fans (part 2) is strange, although its gameplay and graphics must be praised.

This guy criticized acquisitions in the industry and then decided to work for one of the most aggressive companies in this regard. Makes no sense for me and it shows that we can never trust these people. There is not honesty in their comments, just personal interests.

There is a new anime running since 2020, with more episodes and the art in this game is based in this new version. Pretty neat.

Well deserved, this is really an excellent game. It is good to see the game being awarded in these events because I believe that most game of the year prizes this year will go to Elden Ring or God of War Ragnarok (even without playing yet the hype and the last trailer confirms our expectations for GOW).

@GreatAuk Same here, I purchased RE 7 and played, its a good game. However, I enjoyed RE II remake more because of the third person perspective (and a bit of nostalgia of course). I'm also a big fan of the franchise since PS I era (in fact the original RE I was the first game I played in the system), RE VII is good but, for me it has not the same RE vibe. I am very happy with this mode and is very good to see other people with similar opinions.

This is awesome. I'm not very fond of first person action and this is why I still have not bought this game. No excuses now.

Rise of Ronin and Ragnarok were really great. Good show; however, that Playstation Star thing was pathetic.

I hope they do not use first person perspective, melee in these games does not work as good as third person (at least for me). In Cyberpunk melee combat is a disaster to say the least. I love the series and hope they decide to do something in the past (comparing with the period of the other games), in the time when witchers were at their peak in activity (more monsters and competition between schools). The Netflix anime movie with Vesemir is great for instance.

I like this review, it has honesty and did not overestimate the game. I agree with most of the exposed and it confirms my expectations. I'll just play my PS4 version and wait for a big discount or a reduction in the price to pick up this one.

First Sony increased the PS5 price (not without brutal backlash); then, instead of giving information about new investments in the system (new games) they announce the aquisition of a studio for crap mobile games? This is really annoying; its not the Sony that I remmember and support. This is absolutely disappointing.

Bad move Sony. I am happy to already have my PS5, but feel sorry for those who still are going after one. This will negatively impact PS5 sales in my opinion; we are all being impacted by this global crisis. How many billions Sony made last year? Is this really necessary?

The first game is pretty good, I'm definitely interested but wanted to see real gameplay, not a goofy CGI trailer.

@SystemAddict indeed, I have this very concern. The setting of this game and the creatures are part of its appeal, they are really great. Just imagine finding that giant white dragon from the other clip for the first time, that would be awesome. However, they are showing several enemies and locations, removing the sense of discovery, in part at least. Really a shame.

This game looks amazing; however, there are so many clips from the game and no release window confirmed that sometimes it seems that they are hiring the studio just to make short minigames to show the potential of the company. I really hope this is not the case though

Companies need to know the consumer's opinion on products and it is a logic movement to perform surveys with real people (not internet that can have bots as we all know). That said, if any of us is asked, we should say "no" to nfts, microtransactions and other disturbing stuff in game industry.

Well deserved, this is an awesome game. The trait that I feel was must improved as compared with Zero Dawn is one that is often overlooked: the soundtrack. The music in this game is really great, from beautifull and calm tunes in cities and safe places, dark and creepy tracks in rebel camps to dramatic battle themes in some bosses. The game is really a fantastic and captivating adventure.

@get2sammyb I agree and there are some parts that seems to have less itens in the trailer (like people in that scene when Joel is running holding Sarah in his arms).

This game is promissing since it has a certain Bloodborne vibe. I'll pick a physical version when possible.

It is impossible that this game turns to be anything but amazing.

It is simple to solve, just show the official video before any "leak" or speculation. We'll be gratefull.

If this leak is from real gameplay (and it seems to be) I'll just play my PS4 version. It's the same game and one can buy the PS4 version for just 15 US$ or less. ND is really disappointing in some aspects (I like TLOU2 gameplay but hated the story, and now this mess with the beloved part 1). This is really a shame.

This is the best Ys game to date. It's a masterpiece and the soundtrack is really great.

A third person action-horror-scifi-space-adventure game? I'm absolutely in.

This is the real Game of the year 2020. The PS4 is a beast in terms of candidates for the best game of all time. This and the beloved Bloodborne are my personal picks.

I'm really interested in this game, strategy games like this one are relatively rare for PS4/PS5. I'll certailly buy this, despite of its comical title.

A horrible event and there are people bringing sadness to inocent individuals by spreading lies. Being just a mistake of the journalists is not an excuse for this. It is unacceptable.

Honestly, this game looks awkward, but I played all SO games and will buy this one anyway. Gameplay seems solid and fun.

I understood that the service will operates like this and this one of my concerns against it. It would be great if Sony allows players to keep the licence of games that were downloaded and played though.

That's one of the reasons why sony buying Square-Enix is a good move. This will garantee all Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games will release on the PS systems. There is a perception in Japan that Dragon Quest is still a Nintendo thing. These games and other franchises from S-E can still release for other systems, but playstation being the home of these games will make a difference. Everyone knows that non portable consoles are now secondary in Japan though.

By the way, the original PS1 Wild Arms is free for everyone in some regions. I downloaded the PS5 version (you can choose) and I am playing now. Its awesome with improved resolution (really sharp in my opinion), excellent sound, no framerate issues (at least that I can see) and even trophies! Really worth our time.

They should have also included the Megadrive/Genesis game.

More exploration and combat is necessary, the first part of the remake was too much claustrophobic and also has a permanent feeling of sadness because we already knew that we could not see the open environments outside Midgard. Combat is perfect but the game needs more enemies (variety and number).
I believe that they will go a bit off with the story but I do not care too much. From the trailer and the original story I think they will make Aerith a goddess after what we know will happen to her and then she'll change the timeline or the reality somehow, those white feathers and her and her lines in the trailer indicate something as crazy as this.

This is my favorite game in the PSP and I finished the game multiple times. When I see the trailer, I immediately realize that character's models, background and even the battle system seems redone and way better. The music is also different. For me, this is a pretty good remake. I can't wait to play in a big screen.

Hard question. I'll buy all these games as soon as they're released, but FF XVI is my most antecipated game because is a fresh entry in the series and I love what was shown so far.

Excellent news! The PS5 is the best place for the game since FF7 is a PS1 exclusive and helped to establish the playstation brand. In addition, the game will have not the limitation of the PS4 hardware. I have no problems with changing the story adding new content, in addition, it was already done in the FF remake part I.

Great news! The PSP version is one of the best FF spinoffs and is very overlooked (FF Tactics is the only spinoff that is better in my opinion). I have the original but will love to play this in a big screen. Day one.

This looks amazing. Reminds me a lot of the Death's Gambit style and animations. Indie games like this one are done with pure passion, day one for me.

We just need to wait for a sale and grab it. I like some aspects of the original and other that can be seem in this new version. Either is worth of our attention and time.

This game was only ok for me. I love the first game that is an absolutely masterpiece; but, for this second game, the story and mainly, playing with Abby, after all she did, is disgusting. I finished the game but will never play again, hope I can erase this from my mind and remember only of the first game. I also think this TLOU II stole the game of the year from Ghost of Tsushima that is a masterpiece and an absolutely classic. that was unfair.
