Lords of the Fallen 2, first confirmed to be in development for PS4 all the way back in 2018, is now called The Lords of the Fallen, dropping the 2 and adding a 'The'. Oh, and it's coming to PS5...maybe next year? The new trailer doesn't say, but this thing's been in development for ages now.
The first Lords of the Fallen — without the The — was one of the first notable 'Soulslikes' to grace PlayStation consoles, but it was only met with a lukewarm reception in 2014. We're hoping that this sequel can step things up, but we're yet to properly see it in action. The above video is mostly a mood-setter, with no sign of any gameplay.

The first one was no so good. Looked promising from trailers and gameplay videos, but fell short in practice.
Tried to get into it 3 times over the years, but never got very far. It's missing the overall quality of the Souls Borne games... it never managed to get me invested.
Here's hoping the new one fairs better. I certainly won't preorder it, but I'll keep an eye out for reviews when it comes out, to see if it's worth getting.
The first game is pretty good, I'm definitely interested but wanted to see real gameplay, not a goofy CGI trailer.
Really didn't like the original personally. Maybe they have improved since then though.
I guess I'm one of the few that really enjoyed the first game. Strong 7.5 out of 10. It was kind of like souls in easy mode. Loved the soundtrack on the original game and that seems to be missing in this trailer unfortunately. Just some 80s Danzig rock, I'm disappointed 😞 Definitely clashes with the vibe of the first game.....

Except for the out of place rock song, I liked the trailer. Strong art direction and atmosphere. It doesn't say much about the final gameplay, of course. But I will keep track of the game.
Seriously, this is the best idea regarding the name? Just add 'The' at the beginning?
Finished the first one a while ago, very underwhelming and the characters are very dumb and annoying, story almost non existent.

@Worlock_ed Alright but there were some movies between. But this is a straight sequel with almost identical name.
