Persona 3 Persona 4 PS5

And just like that, Atlus confirms that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are coming to PS5. The beloved Japanese RPGs were announced for Game Pass on PC and Xbox during the latter's summer showcase, which naturally prompted a negative response from many a PlayStation fan.

Thankfully, we haven't had to wait long for official word on other platforms. The press release states: "Atlus recently announced that the critically acclaimed Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable will be coming to Xbox and Windows. These beloved games will also be heading to Steam and PlayStation 5." There's no mention of PS4, however, which is perhaps a little strange.

Neither game has a release date, either — all we know is that Persona 5 Royal is hitting PC and Xbox on the 21st October, so we assume that the other two will arrive after that.

Still, great news for JRPG fans on PS5. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden (previously released on PSP and Vita, respectively) can feel a little dated compared to Persona 5 in their mechanics and especially their visuals, but they're still two of the best JRPGs PlayStation has ever seen, in our humble opinion.
