A game as big as Fortnite is always going to have ups-and-downs, but the latest The Simpsons mini-season is the Battle Royale at its best.
We’ve been having a superb time exploring Springfield, eating Steamed Hams and hanging out with Ned Flanders. And it turns out we’re not alone.
Epic Games announced overnight that “in 48 hours, we welcomed the biggest number of new and returning Fortnite players since last holiday season”. That’s impressive for a random weekend in November.
The company also pointed out that the first of its Fortnite x The Simpsons shorts also shot straight to the top of Disney+ Today in the US.
In fact, the mini-season is proving so popular that some fans are already eager for the dev to extend it.
Because this promotion is only set to last for a few weeks, the dev has actually already started teasing its next update, which fans think could have a Hollywood or Kill Bill theme.
