No. This game never interested me at all. Maybe it would have if it was third-person, but unless they commit to that down the line, I'll stick with Uncharted.

I got half way through it on Xbox before dropping off. Its a great game I just got distracted by others and never went back

No, the review here lambasting the gameplay put me right off. Plus, I've a mountain of other games to be playing anyways, this can wait for a deep sale.

Played it on gamepass like any sane person and enjoyed it 👍

Love the first three movies. The latter 2 suck. The trailers I’ve seen for this game make it look janky, even though everyone swears up and down it looks amazing. Waiting for a sale.

Once I’ve got the plat in Lost Records I do plan on playing Indy. Too many games!

I bounced off it quite hard when I tried in on Gamepass so there is zero chance I will play it on my PS5

Played it on gamepass, and since the physical copy isn’t really the whole game I felt no need to pay full price for the PS5 version at launch. It’s a darn good game, I hasten to add, and I look forward to playing it on my preferred console in the future.

I’ll get it on discount used down the road. Don’t really feel like rewarding MS for this kind of silly physical release.

Also, wish that movie poll had a “only the original trilogy!” option!

Nope. I’m playing Erenshor. Great oldschool singleplayer mmo. I know doesn’t make sense but it’s great. If you liked EQ from around 2000 I’d recommend.

Played it on Gamepass, via my PC, for a few hours.

Will go back to it but didn't like the stealth in it, so lowered it to easy and played it like a punch em up. More fun then.

Not for me, I've watched a few of the films over the years and I've never got into them and found them too corny so I know I wouldn't like the game.

Enjoyed the game on game pass and got into it and was really surprised.

Gonna be interesting to see the sales numbers on PS5, was it worth them porting it over from a return on investment perspective.

Thing Xbox really forget that lose that really want to play Xbox games in the masses have an Xbox and/or Gamepass. Selling these games to the PS5 FIFA and COD and Sony AAA studio gang won’t happen. Also everything is so expensive nowadays so kids and parents are more choosy.

Played it on Xbox. Terminally boring. Running around with a map out constantly collecting trinkets

Never really excited about this one. If it's not fantasy, over-the-top action, or swarming with magic robots, it's a hard sell for me. Plus the idea of platforming in first-person makes me clench up (thank you, Turok!).

@CVCubbington here's one for you. I legitimately thought the Xbox reveal made it look weird and janky and something seemed off with it (so I know what you mean) But when I played it last year it was great. Well made, interesting, well designed, it allows you to use your own brain for parts of it, has solid gameplay, crunchy comabt and most of all it was fun. I think it just looked weird on YouTube for some reason, or they did a bad job of capturing video for it, that, plus being led by MS marketing doesn't help.

Oh, and if you like the first three movies anyway, it's literally a game made for you.

At work today but managed to squeeze in the first hour over lunch. Any worries about the first person view were vanquished after the opening. I wasn't watching Indy, I WAS Indy. Good stuff so far and looking forward to a deep dive this weekend.

So far is great but a nasty bug of triggering/activating the triggers when i face an NPC makes the controller click every time. Very annoying. I needed to turn of the triggers. Lame bug.

This is why it’s in 1st person so he can pirouette responsively on a sixpence whilst not being seen to look like a twot doing it. A little shadowplay will expose that, but true story. This is also why it is called The Great Circle

Enjoying it and nails the Indy feel but combat is rather so so and it would have been better as a 3rd person game.

I'd like to play it, but fact it is not on disc (whole game) pushed it to category "I'll wait until it's free in monthly picks".

It's a great game, nails the Indy /Raiders vibe to a tee

Not me, but a lot of people get Game Pass using reward points and not paying actual money.

There's no rewards in my region so for me that sucks.

@Ravix Well, my PS5 just took a giant dump (started with audio lag, moved into full on distortion, nothing fixes it) so I just bought a PS5 Pro and I’m going to buy Indy after I get it set up.Guess the universe wants me to have it.

Free means without cost or payment, so whether it's included in a purchase or on gamepass it's not FREE

If it was third person I might give it a go, but fps just isn't for me

When this arrives at the sub 30 dollar price point, I might consider it. When it comes to the movies, the first three are excellent with Temple of Doom being the absolute best of the bunch. Now that could be the basis for an intriguing Indiana Jones game.

Yes, and loving it so far. Not only is it an amazing game, but it's a worthy successor to the movies, just as good as Raiders and the Last Crusade.

@Ravix I think the sound card or audio card (or whatever this thing has) went bad. No matter the input, output, or cable, it’s pops and static and lag. And yes, pretty happy the new one arrives soonest.

Why is Indiana Jones always mentioned in the same vain as Uncharted?

Been playing since Monday and as a huge fan of Dr Jones this game is a dream come true and proves that Machinegames does not miss

@cburg maybe because ND has talked about how IJ was a inspiration on Uncharted and crazily enough UC is more popular than IJ nowadays with the UC movie making more than the latest IJ movie and that’s not even talk about game sales

As a filmlover, i’m embarrassed to say i have never watched any of the Indiana Jones movies yet. They’re on my watchlist, just because they’re classics. But i just can’t get myself to watch them as they seem so corny and not really my thing. And it’s not because they’re older movies or anything, as i watch and enjoy films much older (oldest one dates back to the 1920s) So i don’t have any nostalgic connection towards this franchise like many seem to have, to be interested in this game. But who knows, i might just have to go back on this when i do eventually decide to watch the films

Like so many other people, the first person perspective puts me off. Also the stealth focus. I like when stealth is an option, whether we're taking action game or RPG, but I dislike when it's the kind of thing where you're usually boned when spotted by multiple enemies and so getting spotted may as well just auto reload your last save.

Honestly I'm waiting to see if oblivion remastered actually releases next week cause if it does I'll be playing that and I'll get indy in a few months. If it doesn't I'll get Indiana Jones next week

Really really really looking forward to posting this bit I just don't have the time to play games any more (my media of choice over the last year has been books) but I love action adventure games. Tomb raider and Unchartered being my favourites.

So I'll definitely play this but when it's free on PS+ or at least heavily discounted.

Nope, I generally don't touch any games that has Xbox/Microsoft's name attached to it. Indie looks abysmal, dead looking dull world, awful slow combat were enemies line up to attack and won't even follow over a 2ft drop lol and even more awfully slow and dull traversal. This is another one of those games where the reviews just make NO SENSE.

Its like they went out of their way to make it as little like Uncharted as possible, making it less like Indiana Jones in the process.

@Frmknst Game pass Ultimate, the highest and most expensive tier of game pass, that Indiana Jones was placed into by the time it launched 4 years later........ is not free lol.
And the new expensive tier that Fable, State of Decay 3 and Perfect Dark will be in by the time they release, in another half a decade, will most certainly not be "free" either.

Actually wasn't what I was expecting, and I would have preferred 3rd person, but now I've acclimatised to what it actually is I have to say I'm thoroughly enthralled by it and can't wait to play more this weekend.

Feel like I wasted money on assassin's creed shadows which turned out a bit bland for my liking so I'll hang back in on this game.

Waiting for it to come out on PS Extra.

It looks good but doesn't seem to stand out that much from the Uncharted series. (I know Uncharted is inspired by Indie)

I bought it to show some support with my wallet for more titles like this to come to PlayStation.

I won't start playing until all the DLC and patches are out to get the best experience.

Played it on Xbox but it was just so boring.

Played it on Xbox via Game Pass, and it's FANTASTIC! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys action adventures. My expectations were high, but the game surpassed them easily!

Have bought it and is being delivered today.

Might boot it up but have recently started FF7 Rebirth so I’ll try to hold off the temptation until I’ve finished that - which might not happen!

@puddinggirl I'd say it's a VERY different game from Uncharted. A lot more focus on exploration, way more open-ended, and a surprisingly light focus on any sort of combat.
I feel the PlayStation ad, which pitted Nolan North against Troy Baker, discussing what it means to be an adventurer really captured what set the two franchises apart.
They are both great, but in very different ways.

Will wait for a sale. In terms of the films, the first is a stone cold classic and one of my favourite films of all time, and Last Crusade is great too.

@dark_knightmare2 excellent. I love it too. I played on GamePass PC for fre… um, a sub, for money. Bought it for the PS5. Very very happy. I thought the review here was good but disagree the gameplay is weak. A bit basic maybe but not weak but everyone has different opinions. Hope it sells well and we get a sequel.

I'm sorry but this game is over hyped don't get me wrong its a good game but not as hyped as people are making it out to be the graphics are there but I think some people will go in with expectations too high

@KingPev Tight and engaging gameplay is the most important thing for me, and they called the gameplay here the most shallow aspect of the title, so that's very clearly at odds with what I want from a videogame.

@aj21009 Yup, call me old fashioned but 90% of the appeal of a game is how well it plays. Nice graphics, great direction, soundtrack, etc. elevate a title, but they're all little more than nice window dressing if the gameplay isn't good.

To me that's like going to a steakhouse that has decent sides, but lame stakes.

@MrPeanutbutterz ...its a shame, you should really give it a try one day. The gameplay is very engaging, particularly the 1st person combat, with melee and a whip, just like in the movies. The puzzles are superb too. Just don't go into it expecting another Uncharted or Tomb Raider, it's more akin to the Indy films

@KingPev That's fair - I'll definitely give it a go at some point. Honestly, even if I wanted to jump in day one I have a shameful backlog, other hobbies on the go, and the weather is mostly good, so I wouldn't be able to fully engage with it even if I wanted to.

1st person graphic adventures can defo be awkward but there’s adventuring here that can’t be passed up. Sometimes I can’t see the jank for the clunk but it’s fluid enough when it flows, feels like there’s peculiar choices abound to come to terms with like that faster climb you barely notice activating was a seriously unnecessary unlock and sticking his hand out every opportunity like some compulsive thief is never a good look? This one will need some special attention I reckon…

This is a good game that I played on Series X via Game Pass, and plan on getting it in PS5 eventually.

Not yet though because I am still in Xenoblade X post-game at 180 hours, finishing up a run to 100% the game and have a full fleet of the Ares 90 skells.
