The Last of Us 2 PS4 PlayStation 4 UK Sales Charts

Not one but two The Last of Us titles cracked the UK sales charts this week, as The Last of Us Remastered rebounded on the back of its PlayStation 4 successor’s record-breaking success. Joel and Ellie’s inaugural adventure saw an 82 per cent rise in week-on-week sales in order to secure 9th place, while the sequel held on to first position.

The Last of Us: Part II’s sales did decrease 80 per cent week-on-week, although this is common for releases with enormous debuts; Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End suffered a similar decline of 78 per cent in its second week. It’s worth stressing that all of this data accounts for physical sales only; we don’t have access to digital sales, but we do know that The Last of Us: Part II is Sony’s fastest-selling game ever globally.

Elsewhere, remastered PlayStation 2 platformer SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated debuted in third position in the British charts this week, while simulation racer Assetto Corsa Competizione entered in 12th place.
