UK Sales Charts: Days of Play Sale Brings PS4 Exclusives Back to Top 10

O dear death stranding. That was one of the other big sale games.

Personally i bagged a copy of days gone at what was an absolute bargin price

I'm not surprised to see Days gone there. I've been waiting over a year to get it at a good price. I am seriously thinking of getting a PS5 late in its lifespan and picking up all its great games for cheap, like they are on PS4 right now.

@Rob_230 death stranding is a great game. I played it for 240 hours and eventually got the platinum. I admit it’s an aquired taste but personally I thought it was really good.

@tinCAT-zero yes it’s fantastic . Give it a go mate. Literally my only gripe with the game is the writing but it’s kojima so you just get on with it lol

@Netret0120 can’t agree more I platted this game and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much that after my normal Playthrough was complete I went straight back in on survivor which just makes the game even better. And the challenge mode is insane!! A major learning curve getting all them trophies but when that Gold Team rules trophy pops you’ll buzz

Seeing a VR game in the top ten is just awesome!!! I love PSVR it’s a completely new experience and in no way a gimmick! If you’re on the fence about VR trust me, it’s incredible

Days gone is great, I hope playstation announces every 1st party games they published is going to get 4k & 60 fps patch on ps5, I definitely want to play bloodborne, uncharted 4, days gone, and other sony games again if they get a ps5 patch

@Rob_230 I started Death Stranding over the weekend having finished Days Gone last week.

Days Gone is a really good game, got totally swept up in both the world and story.

Too early into DS to form an opinion, other than an obvious one: it's a bit weird!

One of those sales of Days Gone was from me Looking forward to giving it a try, although i'm currently playing God of War III and Horizon:Zero Dawn so not sure when that will be lol

Also really great to see Xenoblade at No.1 in the charts !

I hope day gone get a sequel for ps5.

Hey good folks. Days Gone is such a good game. It does have a slow start, but I do think most game are a bit like that. Once you reach lost lake I feel like the game really starts to open up and the story just becomes better and better. Oh, and Deacon St John is one of the best characters I´ve seen in a videogame. Excellent performance by Sam Witwer. Bend Studios did a great job. Hope we get a sequel on PS5. Cheers and happy gaming to us all.

I'll be waiting for your opinion then as I'm thinking of buying Death Stranding. I know it's weird but it can be weird in a positive or a negative way Oh, I have played MGS1-5 and enjoyed them tremendously, if that makes a difference.

PSVR is cool, indeed, but a word of advice for those who are thinking of buying it: borrow it and try it out first. I didn't and sold it after 3 weeks of unsuccessfully trying to get over the nausea. It was bad.

@Rob_230 yeah Death Standing doesn't seem to be selling much although I saw the article stating the team behind it were content with the figures. Seeing Xenoblade at #1 is very impressive however.

Played Death Stranding for 60 hours, finished the story, was incredibly predictable and the writing felt so off that I never emotionally connected to anyone but Cliff. Luckily the game held it's value and I traded it after for Fallen Order, now that was a bucket of fun.

@Col_McCafferty Oh it´s weird allright. And it keeps getting weirder and weirder untill it all starts to make sense. But I gotta be honest, wasn´t expecting to like playing the game that much. Who knew that building bridges, roads for you and other players and creating vehicles and other means of transportation as well as being a courier in an apocaliptic world would end up being so much fun. I think it's going to take me a while before I'm able to form a proper and accurate opinion. The music is very good though and technically it's quite impressive. I'm barely into it really (indeed my 'main' is actually BioShock 2 at present) but I'll keep you updated!

@RaZieLDaNtE Cheers. I know it's a very divisive game but as I've said before, some of the very best 'art' is that which splits opinions.

I don't mind weird stuff but I just wonder if Hideo needed some people to tell him "no" at certain stages in the games development!

I'm in no rush as I'm halfway through Bioshock 1. Speaking of, is B2 worth a playthrough? I started it once but felt Rapture fatigue, if that makes sense.

@gollumb82 Yeah the second is just the first but with a less compelling story. The combat is still fun and, well, it's BioShock innit!

I'd suggest leaving a gap between finishing 1 and playing 2. There aren't enough obvious differences to differentiate one from the other.

Not everyhing in is games work like a charm, but you can´t deny the exelence of Metal Gear Solid 1-4. Especially MGS3 for me personaly. All of them had something you would be like, "WTF just happened?", but they were all pretty great twists imo. Cheers and have a good one.

@gollumb82 I have to agree with Col_McCafferty. The first Bioshock was such a great hit that Take-Two wanted more of that success. Even though Bioshock 2 is pretty good, it is not as good as the first one. Gameplay wise, yeah, sure. Story wise, it´s okay. For that there is Bioshock Infinite. Hope Mr kevin Levine takes another shot a these kind of games. Cheers and happy gaming to us all.

@tinCAT-zero Yes I had it pre-ordered since release day, but I still have it to finish. It's a bit like Marmite, you'll either love it or hate it.

I would like to see the cumulative sales numbers for Days Gone, i see that game constantly returning to top charts.

Also surprised to see TLoU getting back to a top 10... It's like people care about exclusive EVEN WHEN THEY ARE YEARS OLD, who would have thought that! Right Sony?

@gollumb82 yeah fair enough but make sure you try a good selection of genres then if possible . If you’re like me driving games make you a bit sick but the rest are fine. A friend of mine however can’t play a single VR game lol. So yeah defo try it out first 👍🏻. I’ve recently done everybody’s golf VR. That was absolutely awesome and no sick inducing movement

Days gone was truly a surprisingly great game, I was expecting it to be ok but was actually really gripped by the fun story and gameplay..I really hope more ppl buy the game!
